- Make sure water drains smoothly by placing a base under the machine or using other appropriate means.
NOTE: Re-route the drain hose to prevent kinks or sharp bends that could impede drainage. Use only the new hose set provided.
WARNING: Packaging materials (such as plastic bags and thermocol) should be kept away from children.
Operation
Preparing the Wash Load
Sort the wash load for best results and prepare clothes according to care label symbols.
Checking the Clothes before Loading
- Combine large and small items for even load distribution during spinning.
- Do not wash single small items; add 1-2 similar items to prevent an out-of-balance load.
- Check pockets for items like nails, hair clips, matches, pens, coins, and keys, which can damage the appliance and clothes.
- Wash delicates (stockings, underwired bras) in a wash net.
- Close zippers, hooks, and strings to prevent snagging on other clothes.
- Pre-treat dirt and stains by brushing a small amount of dissolved detergent onto stains.
Adding Detergents
Detergent Dosage
- Select detergent based on fabric type, color, soil level, and washing temperature, and use according to manufacturer instructions.
- Excessive detergent causes excessive suds and poor washing.
- When using liquid detergent, follow manufacturer guidelines.
- Adjust detergent usage based on water temperature, hardness, load size, and soil level. Avoid oversudsing for best results.
- Refer to clothing labels for appropriate detergent and water temperature.
- Use suitable detergents: general powdered for all fabrics, powdered for delicates, liquid for all fabrics or wool-specific.
- For better performance and whitening, use detergent with general powdered bleach.
CAUTION: Using undiluted liquid detergent or leaving diluted liquid detergent in the drum for a long time may damage, bleach, or discolor clothes.
NOTE: Do not let detergent harden, as this can cause blockages, poor rinsing, or odor. Full load: follow manufacturer's recommendation. Part load: 3/4 of normal amount. Minimum load: 1/2 of full load.
