1.0 Introduction
Thank you for choosing the THOMSON 4K Ultra HD Android TV Box. It is designed with the latest technologies to offer complete entertainment and versatility. We hope you have many hours of great new experiences exploring the Android universe!
1.1 Safety Instructions
Read all instructions before operating the device. Keep these instructions for future reference.
- Use only attachments and accessories specified or provided by the manufacturer.
- Refer to the electrical and safety data on the device before installation or operation.
- To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this device to rain or moisture.
- Ventilation should not be obstructed by covering ventilation openings with items such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.
- The device should not be exposed to splashing, and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, should be placed on the device.
- The symbol ⚡ indicates a risk of electric shock.
- To prevent injury, this device must be securely fixed to the floor/wall in accordance with installation instructions.
- There may be a risk of explosion if batteries are replaced incorrectly. Replace batteries only with the same or equivalent type.
- Batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunlight, fire, or other heat sources.
- Excessive sound volume from earphones or headphones can cause hearing loss.
- Listening to music at a high volume level for prolonged periods can damage hearing.
- To reduce the risk of hearing damage, lower the volume to a safe comfortable level and reduce the time of listening at high levels.
- The mains plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device; it shall remain readily accessible. When not in use and when moved, take care of the entire power cord, e.g., tie up the power cord with a plastic-coated wire tie. It should be free of sharp edges and the like that can cause abrasion of the power cord. The absence of an indicator light on the device does not mean it is completely disconnected from the mains. To completely disconnect the device, the mains plug must be unplugged.
- When all indicator lights or similar are off, the device is completely disconnected from the mains.
- Particular attention should be paid to environmental aspects for battery recycling.
- No open flame sources, such as lit candles, should be placed on the device.
- To prevent fire hazards, always keep candles or other open flames away from this product at all times.
- Equipment with this symbol is a Class II or double insulated electrical appliance. It has been designed so that its electrical safety earthing is not necessary.
- Precautions: Never attempt to open the device. It is dangerous to touch the inside of the device due to high voltages and possible electrical hazards. Opening the device voids the product warranty. For any maintenance or service, refer to qualified personnel.
- When connecting cables, ensure the device is disconnected from the mains. After turning off the device, wait a few seconds before moving it or disconnecting any equipment.
- It is imperative that you use only an approved extension cord and compatible wiring that is suitable for the power consumption of the installed equipment. Ensure the power supply matches the voltage indicated on the electrical rating plate on the back of the device.
- Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
- Disposing of a battery in a fire or hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting a battery can create an explosion.
- Leaving a battery in a very high temperature environment can create an explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
- A battery subjected to extremely low atmospheric pressure may cause an explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
Operational Environment
- Do not install this equipment in a confined space such as a bookcase or similar unit.
- Keep out of direct sunlight.
- Use in a clean, dry, and dust-free location.
- Do not place candles near ventilation openings to prevent flammable foreign matter from entering the device.

This symbol representing the standard for recycling Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment indicates that this product should not be treated as other household waste within the European Union. To avoid any harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, please recycle this equipment responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. Storage
- Your device has been carefully checked and packed before shipment. When unpacking, ensure all parts are included and keep the packaging out of reach of children. We recommend keeping the carton during the warranty period to keep your device perfectly protected in case of warranty repair.
1.2 Device Installation
Please follow the instructions below:
- Use a high-quality HDMI cable in perfect condition to watch TV with the best resolution.
- Full user manual for installation and use of the STRONG Internet TV Box is available on our website www.strong.tv. The symbols used are as follows:

- Tips: Indicates important or useful information.
- MENU: Refers to a button on the remote control or the STRONG Internet TV Box (bold characters).
- Go to: Refers to a section of the displayed menu (italic characters).

ATTENTION: Batteries must not be recharged, disassembled, short-circuited, or mixed with batteries of another type. If rechargeable accumulators are to be used instead of the supplied batteries (e.g., NiMH), we recommend using low self-discharge types to ensure long-term operation of your remote control.
1.4 Using a USB Device
- It is recommended to use a USB 2.0 device. If your device is not compatible with USB 2.0 specifications, proper functioning of playback and other multimedia functions is not guaranteed.
- THOMSON cannot guarantee compatibility with all types of USB devices such as webcams, keyboards, mice, storage devices.
- THOMSON cannot guarantee perfect operation when an HDD and a webcam are used simultaneously.
- If you are using an external hard drive (HDD), the power required for the proper functioning of your hard drive may not be supported by the Internet TV Box (5 V/500 mA). In this case, connect a suitable power supply to your Internet TV Box.
- It is advisable not to save important information on the USB storage device used with the Internet TV Box. We advise you to always back up data on another storage device. THOMSON cannot be held responsible for any loss of information or consequences of such data loss.
2.0 Description of the Box
2.1 Front Panel
- Remote control usage indicator: If the indicator flashes during remote control use, pair the Bluetooth remote control for all Google Assistant functionalities to work. See 5.0 Settings/Bluetooth Pairing.
- Internet Connection Indicator: Green: Connected. Red: Disconnected.
- Power On/Off Indicator: Green: Decoder on. Red: Decoder off.

2.4 Remote Control
The remote control has various buttons for operating the box:
- 1. [Power Button]: Powers the device on or puts it in standby mode.
- 2. Microphone: Press to activate voice control.
- 3. [Google Assistant Button]: For voice recognition.
- 4. [Unassigned Button]: No function. Reserved for future use.
- 5. [Add to Watchlist Button]: On the home screen, press the button and add the video to the "watch later" list.
- 6. [Settings Button]: Press to access TV settings.
- 7. OK: Confirms the selection.
- 8. Navigation Buttons (Up/Down/Left/Right): Allows navigation within the menu.
- 9. BACK: Returns to the last viewed channel or the previous menu.
- 10. HOME: Accesses the Home desktop function.
- 11. LIVE TV: When watching YouTube videos, press the button to display the information banner.
- 12. VOL +/-: Adjusts the audio volume.
- 13. Mute Button: Mutes the audio.
- 14. CH +/-: No function. Reserved for future use.
- 15. YouTube: Provides immediate access to YouTube.
- 16. NETFLIX: Provides immediate access to Netflix.
- 17. Prime Video: Provides immediate access to Prime Video.
- 18. Google Play: Provides immediate access to Google Play.
* Voice control and certain other functions can only work when this remote control is paired with your THA100 box.

2.5 Installing Batteries
Open the remote control cover and insert 2 LR03 (AAA) batteries into the compartment. The correct pole position for the batteries is indicated inside the battery compartment.
- Open the cover.
- Insert the batteries.
- Close the cover.
ATTENTION: Batteries must not be recharged, disassembled, short-circuited, mixed with other types of batteries, or used with rechargeable batteries unless they are low self-discharge type.
3.0 Connection Guide
Refer to the diagram below to connect your Android TV Box to power, network, and your other devices. (Note: Before starting, please turn off all devices to be connected.)

- 1. The use of an external amplifier is optional.
- NOTE: The THA100 box can be connected via Wi-Fi. Go to Settings -> Network & Internet.
- 2. Connect the THA100 box with the HDMI cable.
- 3. Connect the LAN port of the SRT202EMATIC to your Internet box or your home Internet network via an Ethernet/RJ45 cable.
- 4. Connect the TV Box to the power using the supplied power adapter. Then turn on your device.
NOTE: Before turning on your device, please connect the TV signal input to the correct source.
4.0 Setting Up the Device
You can turn on your device after correctly connecting all the hardware. To use Google Assistant on your remote control, you must first pair your Bluetooth remote control with your TV Box. Follow the on-screen pairing instructions.
Pairing Process:
- 1. To use Google Assistant on your remote control, please pair the remote control to the decoder.
- 2. Searching.
- 3. Paired.
- 4. Connected.
Step 1: Language
Select your desired language on the home screen.

Step 2: Setup with an Android Device
Choose to set up your decoder with another Android device/computer or skip this step. If you choose Continue, please follow the guide to complete the Google quick setup.
Step 3: Wi-Fi
Connect to your Wi-Fi network. Skip this step if you are already connected via Ethernet.
Step 4: Google Account
Sign in with your Google account.
Step 5: Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
Read and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Step 6: Location Settings
Choose whether to allow Google to use your location to improve your experience.
Step 7: Diagnostic Report
Indicate whether you want to allow your TV to send automatic diagnostic and usage data to Google.
Step 8: Meet your Google Assistant
Activate the Google Assistant function for the feature to work on your remote control.

5.0 Settings
Select Settings to check device information, add/remove accounts, and make changes to system settings.
Wi-Fi Settings
In "Network & Internet", select and enable Wi-Fi to connect to the network. Once the device scans and lists nearby Wi-Fi networks, select the appropriate network name, enter the password if necessary, and select "Connect".
Language Settings
In "Settings", "Device Preferences" select "Languages" and change the language as desired.
Bluetooth Pairing
Select "Settings" from the menu launcher.
In the "Remote & accessories" menu, click "Add accessory" and then select the device to connect.

Removing a Bluetooth Device
Select "Settings" from the menu launcher. In the "Remote & accessories" menu, click "Remove accessory" and then select the device to remove.
Adding a New Account
For new Google users, create a new Google account via the Android TV Box to facilitate login and payment security. Add an account or switch accounts under Accounts in the "Settings" menu.

Factory Reset
Under Settings, select Device Preferences > About > Factory data reset > Click on “Reset” to erase everything.
Caution: This option will delete all manually installed applications and all user data.

About
You can check your device information by clicking ABOUT in the "Settings" "Device Preferences" menu. This page displays your device model, version, firmware version, and more. You can also update your system by clicking System Update in this menu.

6.0 Downloading Applications
All applications are available on the Google Play Store. Do not install applications via a USB drive, SD card, or hard drive.
7.0 Google Cast
Display content from a mobile device.
Some applications allow you to display content directly on your TV screen. Simply follow these steps:
- Open a "Google cast" compatible application on your mobile device.
- Navigate to the screen you wish to display.
Displaying from Google Chrome
Google Chromecast is built into this device. To cast from Google Chrome, click the Settings icon ⚙️ located in the upper right corner of the browser, then click "Cast".
8.0 Google Assistant
Examples:
- Say and Play: Ask to play content, and it will be played. Enjoy.
- Movies and TV Shows: Say "Play Stranger Things on Netflix".
- Apps: Open YouTube. Search for sitcoms.
- Info: "Tell me about Game of Thrones".
- Control: Pause. Stop. Resume playback. Lower the volume, Increase the volume. Play music, listen to news or podcasts.
- Music: Play music by Sia on... (The assistant will play your chosen music).
- News: What is the latest news?
- Sports: What is the score of PSG-OM? When is the next match for the French football team?
- Calculations: How much is 12X66? What is 20% of 80?
- Dictionary: What does "ludique" mean?
- Find answers: How far is the Moon from the Earth? How to remove a stain from a carpet?
- Unit Conversions: How many feet in a meter?
To start, press the Google Assistant button ▶️ on your remote control. Speak into the microphone of your remote control.
Learn more about Google Assistant at assistant.google.com or say "What can you do?".
NOTE: To use Google Assistant via your remote control, you must first pair your Bluetooth remote control with your TV Box.
9.0 Problems and Solutions
