Installation Steps
Step 1: Modes and Preparation
Identify installation modes:
- ? AE - Air extraction mode
- ? RM - Recirculation mode

Step 2: Model Identification and Dimensions
This guide covers Miele range hood models DAS 2620, DAS 2920, DAS 4720, DAS 4920, and DAS 4930.

- 35 7/16" (900 mm)
- 23 5/8" (600 mm)
Measurements K, G, and T are indicated, with the relationship T = K - G.

Step 3 & 4: Mounting Bracket Installation
Install the mounting bracket using four T20 screws (4 x 15 mm) for wall attachment (Step 3) or cabinet attachment (Step 4).
An optional depth stop can be used.

Step 5, 6, 7 & 8: Hood Component Assembly
Prepare the Miele DKFS 31-900 P / DKFS 31-R components.

Step 9: Main Unit Installation
Attach the main hood unit using four T20 screws (4 x 12 mm) and four T20 screws (4 x 15 mm).

Step 10: Cabinet Attachment and Depth Stop
If the cabinet does not have a stable rear panel, the fastening bracket must be attached to the kitchen wall. Use suitable means of fastening.

Step 11, 12, 13 & 14: Duct Connection
Connect the ducting for either AE (Air Extraction) or RM (Recirculation) mode.
