Safety
Safety Advice
- Failure to follow these instructions invalidates the guarantee. No liability is accepted for consequential damage.
- No liability is accepted for damage to property or persons caused by improper handling or failure to observe the safety advice.
- Avoid danger to life and injury through improper use!
Warning!
- This helmet should not be used by children for climbing or other activities where there is a risk of strangulation or hanging if the child gets caught by the helmet.
- This helmet has been designed to absorb part of the energy of a fall.
Caution!
- The warranty expires if original parts are removed or foreign parts are attached. We do not accept liability for subsequent damage.
- Replace the helmet after an accident – even if no damage is visible. Fine hairline cracks can reduce shock absorption.
- Even without visible external damage, the helmet must be replaced after any impact, hard blow (e.g., a fall from 1.5m can damage the helmet!) or deep scratches. A helmet damaged in this way may not be able to effectively protect your head from injury.
- The helmet's service life is limited to 8 years from the production date (see product label), even if undamaged. The actual usage duration is 3-5 years depending on use. Do not exceed the product service life. Replace the helmet if it no longer fits.
- Regularly check the helmet for visible defects.
- Do not expose the helmet to fire, heat, or prolonged temperatures above +60°C.
- Do not leave the helmet in a car during summer. Replace the helmet if such damage occurs.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry place.
- The protective effect of this helmet can be seriously impaired by paint, varnish, stickers, cleaning fluids, chemicals, or other solvents.
- A helmet cannot always protect you from injury.
Operation
Helmet Fitting
For optimal protection, the helmet must fit correctly. It should not rest on the back of your head, be pulled too low on your forehead, or shift left or right.
Adjusting the Helmet on the Inside
This helmet features a new, patented fitting ring with a rotary mechanism, allowing easy one-handed size adjustment.
- Place the helmet level on your head with the fitting ring open. The bottom edge should be 1-2 finger-widths above the bridge of your nose.
- If the helmet moves easily, tighten the fitting ring (1) using the rotary knob (2). Turning clockwise reduces circumference; turning anti-clockwise increases it.
- Tighten the fitting ring until it fully encircles your head and feels secure.
Adjusting the Straps
For optimal protection during a fall, straps must be correctly adjusted.
- Position the Y-shaped strap holders (3) approximately 1 cm below your ears, with the rear straps going around the back of your head.
- Fasten the strap buckle under your chin (Fig. 4). The chin strap should be snug but not too tight. You should be able to open your mouth slightly when fastened. The correct position for the fastened chin strap is under the lower jaw, between the chin tip and the throat.
WARNING: Always wear the helmet with the chin strap fastened.
- Adjust straps by pulling them if they are too long or too short.
- If the helmet does not fit your head size, choose another size or helmet.
Illuminated Ring System
The illuminated ring system is activated by pressing the white LED cover.
Functions: Flashing light ?, Constant light ?, Off.
Changing the Battery
Carefully remove the white cover from the light. Replace the depleted battery with a new one. Carefully press the cover back onto the black adjustment dial.
- Note battery polarity. Battery type: 2x button cell 1.5V LR 41.
- Do not use rechargeable batteries.
- Remove leaking batteries immediately, avoiding skin contact. If contact occurs, clean affected areas thoroughly with water.
- LED Class 1: No hazard from the light when used correctly.
- Batteries can be returned free of charge to designated collection points. End users are legally obliged to return batteries.
- ATTENTION: The illuminated ring system is additional lighting and does not replace lighting required by traffic regulations.
Cleaning
Clean your helmet using only water, mild soap, and a soft cloth. Do not use solvents like spirit or petrol, as they can damage the helmet shell. The internal pads are washable at 30°C.
Disposal
Packaging and ancillary materials are made from environmentally-friendly materials and can be disposed of in local recycling bins. Contact your local authority for disposal details of the product.
Dispose of old equipment at collection points, not in normal household waste. Remove batteries/rechargeable batteries if not intended for reuse.
Disposal of Batteries
Used batteries must not be disposed of in domestic refuse. Hand them in to your dealer or a public collection point for recycling.
