Determine the Malfunction
What issue is your iBreeze Auto CPAP device having?
- The device will not Power Up?
- The device is displaying an Error Code?
- The device is "Bumpy" or not Smooth in transition from Inspiration to Expiration (a burst of pressure at the end of Inspiration)?
If your device will not Power Up or is displaying an Error Code, please contact Compass Health's Customer Success Team at 800-376-7263.
If your iBreeze unit is "Bumpy" (Not Smooth), you can follow the instructions in this document to update the Software on your iBreeze device to the latest version. This should help improve this issue.
Uploading the latest iBreeze Software
This guide explains how to upload the latest iBreeze Software to improve the "Bumpiness" or Pressure Surge at the end of Inspiration.
Step 1: Format the SD Card
Objective: Format the SD Card that came with your unit.
Instructions:
- Remove the SD Card from your iBreeze unit. [Image: Finger removing SD card from device.]
- Insert the SD Card directly into your Laptop or Desktop Computer, or into a Card Reader that is connected to your computer via USB. [Images: SD card being inserted into a laptop; SD card being inserted into a USB card reader.]

- Select "Manage" at the top of the File Explorer window.

- A warning window will pop up. Click on "OK" to proceed.
- A confirmation window will appear showing "Format Complete". Click "OK". [Screenshot: 'Format Complete' window.]
- Leave the SD Card connected to your computer.
Step 2: Identify the Software Currently on your Unit
Objective: Identify your machine's "SVN" Number to determine the correct software version.
Instructions:
- Power on your unit.
- Select "Setting".
- Select "About".

Software File Selection based on SVN:
- If the SVN is 20265 or 20254, use the file
V01.10.01_SVN20705_HR01
to update your unit. - If the SVN is 20518 or 21957, use the file
V01.11.01_SVN20698_ESP32_HR01
to update your unit. - If the SVN is 20518, 21957, 20698, or 20848, use the file
V01.11.03_SVN20894_HR01
to update your unit. - For all other SVN's (e.g., 20033, 20265, 20254, 20456, 20705, 20849), use the file
V01.10.03_SVN20985_HR01
to update your unit.
Step 3: Download the Software to your Unit's SD Card
Objective: Download the correct software upgrade to your SD Card.
Instructions:
- Visit the Compass Health website: compasshealthbrands.com.

- Click on the "Downloads" tab.
- Select the appropriate Software Update for your unit from the list. [Screenshot: 'Downloads' section listing software updates.]

- Locate the single software file, typically named
csp35.bin
. - Click and hold down on the
csp35.bin
file, drag it over to the SD Card directory on the left pane, and drop the file onto your SD Card. [Screenshot: File Explorer showing drag-and-drop action to copy 'csp35.bin' to the SD Card.] - Once copied, click on the SD Card directory to verify that
csp35.bin

Step 4: Update the Software on your Unit
Objective: Install the software update onto your iBreeze unit.
Instructions:
- Ensure your SD Card is NOT in the unit.
- Power up your iBreeze unit.
- Enter Physician mode: Press the "RAMP" button (in the upper right corner) and the circular knob simultaneously and hold them both down. [Image: iBreeze device with fingers pressing RAMP button and knob.]

- Select "Service".
- Enter the Password "1013" by turning and pressing the knob to select each number. [Screenshot: iBreeze device screen showing password entry.]

- The screen will indicate that the Software update is in progress. Wait patiently for it to complete (this will take approximately one minute). [Image: iBreeze device screen indicating update in progress.]
- When the process is complete, the unit will acknowledge the update, shut down automatically, and restart.
- Once the unit is powered back up, the software upgrade is complete.
Please Note: After installing the Software update, you will need to follow the set-up instructions to perform a complete, new patient set-up.
