Kwikset's patented SmartKey Security protects against advanced break-in techniques. It offers convenience by allowing you to re-key your lock yourself in seconds.

How SmartKey Security™ Works:

1. Insert current key & rotate 90° CW.
2. Fully insert the SmartKey tool. Remove tool & current key.
3. Fully insert new key & rotate 180°. Rotate back to the starting position, & remove key. Your lock is now re-keyed!

Important: Make sure you have your current key and SmartKey tool.

Key Control Deadbolt

The Kwikset Key Control Deadbolt offers a smart alternative to traditional master keying. It features two separate cylinders (Tenant & Property Manager) allowing for more tenant key cuts than a traditional master key system. The new proprietary keyway enhances security, and the Property Manager Cylinder is concealed when not in use.

How to Access Property Manager Cylinder:

1. Insert the SmartKey Tool into the slot at the bottom of the cylinder cover.
2. Rotate the cover clockwise to expose the Property Manager Cylinder.
3. Use the tool to rotate the Property Manager Cylinder counter-clockwise back to the user's keyway when appropriate.
