The Language of Digital Pianos

Keyboard

GrandTouch-STM: The GrandTouch-STM keyboard offers a more realistic feel, found in Yamaha's high-end Clavinova models. The key touch closely resembles that of a concert grand piano. The GrandTouch-STM keyboard faithfully simulates tonal variation based on subtle differences in how keys are played, providing a tonal variety and richness similar to a concert grand piano. The keys are made of solid wood, and the laminated structure makes them resistant to deformation and exceptionally durable.

GH3 Keyboard: The Graded Hammer 3 (GH3) keyboard reproduces the touch of an acoustic piano, from the heavier feel of the lower registers to the lighter touch of the upper octaves. The GH3 keyboard offers a response and feel similar to a concert grand piano, allowing for rapid note repetition and authentic expressive control.

GHS Keyboard: The Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard reproduces the touch of an acoustic piano, from the heavier feel of the lower registers to the lighter touch of the upper octaves.

GHC Keyboard: The new compact GHC keyboard developed for the P-225, P-145BT, and P-145 offers the same ease of playability as its predecessors in all aspects. Additionally, the piano is more compact than previous models while still offering exceptional piano touch.

Voices

Voices are the sounds of musical instruments, such as piano, organ, or string instruments, that you can select and play on the keyboard.

Dual Mode: With Dual mode, you can play two Voices simultaneously. You can create warm and rich textured Voices by using Voices from different groups or the same group simultaneously in a layer.

Split Mode: Split mode allows you to play two different Voices on the keyboard: one with the left hand and another with the right.

Rhythms and Styles

Rhythm: You can select a rhythm from different musical genres, such as pop and jazz, and play along.

Styles: Styles are different accompaniment patterns from various musical genres, including pop, jazz, and many others. A style features automatic accompaniment that detects chords automatically, allowing you to play the accompaniment by playing the keyboard. This allows you to recreate the sound of a full band or orchestra automatically, even if you are playing alone.

Songs

Preset songs are stored in the instrument, and you can listen to them or use them for learning.

SONG RECORDING: You can record your piano performances as a user song in SMF format. It is possible to record up to 16 tracks independently (depending on the model).

USB AUDIO RECORDING/PLAYBACK: With this method, you can record your performances into an audio file and save them to a USB drive. Recording is done without designating the recorded part.
