Set Up and Installation
How to install Front Camera?
- Connect the suction mount to the camera's mounting socket and push it in until it clicks.
- Take off the protective film from the suction cup mount pad. Set the camera lens to point forward towards the center of the installation area.
- Installation Position: Most users install their dash cam next to the rear-view mirror and opposite the driver's side. First, stop the engine in a well-lit, safe place, and then remove the key. Avoid attaching the suction mount to the windshield's black grid area.
- Make sure to clean your windshield from dust particles and any evaporated grease from the dashboard surface.
- To lock the suction mount: Press and hold it tightly against the windshield to remove any air between the suction mount and the windshield. While pressing and holding, turn the locking knob clockwise to lock it in place.
- Use the power cord to connect the Type-C Port of the product to the car's cigarette lighter socket.
CAUTION: Please use the B-T37 package-supplied original cigar lighter power cord. Otherwise, the camera may frequently reboot or the LCD may flicker due to insufficient power.
- Adjust the lens angle of the camera. Loosen the screw to adjust the camera's view angle, and then tighten to lock that angle. You can rotate the camera 360° to record any direction you prefer.
- Start the engine and check if the product works properly.
Warm Tips: Make sure to remove the Plastic Lens Screen Protector from the lens before recording videos, otherwise, your videos will look blurry and blocked. Do not remove the Micro SD Card while the camera is turned ON. Otherwise, it may cause the memory card to be write-protected and lead to possible loss of data or damage to your memory card. Always remove/insert the memory card while the camera is turned OFF. After a test drive, check and make sure if all videos are recorded correctly.
How to install the rear camera?
- With the rear camera, it should be installed above the car's rear number plate, with the screw pad facing upward.
- Route the camera cable to the front of the car and connect the black cable of the rear camera to the main device. Rear cam wire methods A and B are both acceptable. The connection of the rear cam red wire depends on whether your car has a built-in reverse system. See the following two situations:
Situation 1
If your car does NOT have a built-in reverse system rear cam view display monitor, you will need to connect the rear cam red wire to the car's reverse lamp wire positive lead. When you drive forward, the camera display screen will show both front and rear views simultaneously. When you reverse the car, the dash cam will show a full-screen rear view.
Situation 2
If your car HAS a built-in reverse system rear cam view display monitor, you do not need to connect the rear cam red wire anywhere. When you drive forward, the camera display screen will show both front and rear views simultaneously. When you reverse the car, the dash cam display screen will not change; it will still show both front and rear views at the same time.
Note: The reversing lamp position differs between cars. Ensure your reversing lamp is on the car's left or right side before connecting the rear cam red wire to it.
How to install/remove and format the SD card?
Important Note: Make sure you are using a Brand Name, Class 10, U3 or higher speed Micro-SD card (16GB-256GB). A 64GB SD card is already inserted into the camera. Do not insert or remove the micro SD card when the camera is turned on.
TO INSTALL
- Make sure that the camera is turned off first.
- Align the Gold Contacts facing towards the front of the camera (screen side). Insert the micro SD card halfway in.
- Use your fingernail or the provided Pin (Package included card removal tool) to push the card all the way inward until it clicks and locks in place.
TO REMOVE
- Make sure that the camera is turned off first.
- To remove the Micro SD card, gently push its edge inward until it clicks, and then it will pop out. Simply pull it out of the slot.
You can scan the QR code below for the Operation Video.
Before first-time use, you MUST format the memory card in the camera to prevent any errors and for smooth operation.
TO FORMAT
Please press the "OK" button to stop recording, then press the "M" button to enter the system setting and find the "Format" option.
Please scan the QR code to view how to format the SD card.
Warm Tips: We recommend formatting the memory card every month to keep it clean for smooth operation. Memory cards have a limited lifespan; after many uses of writing data over and over, they will eventually become inoperable. When this happens, please replace your memory card. If you experience camera freezing or lagging, or it stops recording after a few seconds, this is likely an issue with the memory card (NOT the camera issue). Please contact support. This B-T37 dash camera is a High Bit-Rate 2.5K video recording device, which requires High Speed Rating SPECIFIC Micro SD Cards. Absolutely do NOT buy memory cards from third-party sellers on eBay or online marketplaces, as they may be fake cards and will NOT work.
