MARS HYDRO Intelligent Fan Controller User Manual

Product Overview

This manual provides instructions for the MARS HYDRO Intelligent Fan Controller, designed to manage ventilation systems based on temperature and humidity readings.

PAY ATTENTION: When using the controller for the first time, please tear off the white tape attached to the sensor probe.

Controller Modes

The controller offers several modes for managing fan operation:

Key Features and Operations

High Temperature Trigger (AUTO MODE)

In HIGH TEMP AUTO mode, press the UP or DOWN button to set a high temperature trigger point. Fans activate if the probe's measured temperature exceeds this set point. Activated fans gradually increase speed up to the speed set in ON Mode. When the measured temperature falls below the set point, fans slowly decrease speed until they stop. This trigger can be turned off by holding the UP and DOWN buttons simultaneously; the display will show "OFF". This trigger can activate as long as you are in AUTO Mode.

High Temperature Alarm (ALARM SETTING)

In HIGH TEMP ALARM SETTING mode, press the UP or DOWN button to set a high temperature alarm threshold. The alarm activates if the probe's measured temperature exceeds this set point. When the alarm triggers, fans will spin gradually to maximum speed, overriding other settings. This alarm can be turned off by holding the UP and DOWN buttons simultaneously; the display will show "OFF". The alarm requires the controller to be in AUTO, ON, or TIMER mode to activate.

Controller Lock

To prevent accidental changes to settings, hold the LEAF button for three or more seconds. While locked, modes cannot be switched, and settings cannot be changed. Pressing the LEAF button briefly enters an ECO display. Holding the LEAF button for three or more seconds unlocks the controller.

Alert Icons

TEMPERATURE ALARM ALERT: This icon flashes when a high or low temperature alarm that you have set has been triggered.

HUMIDITY ALARM ALERT: This icon flashes when a high or low humidity alarm that you have set has been triggered.

  3. LEAF BUTTON: Turns the display off while programs run in the background. Hold for two seconds to lock or unlock the display.
  4. PROBE TEMP/HUMIDITY: Displays the current temperature/humidity measured by the sensor probe. Shows "-" if no probe is plugged in.
  5. CONTROLLER MODE: Displays the current mode the controller is in. Press the MODE Button to cycle through modes.
  6. ALERT ICONS: Displays alerts and statuses, including alarms and screen lock status.
  7. FAN SPEED: Displays the current speed the fan is running at, or the speed it should be running at if no fans are connected.
  8. SETTING: Displays the value set for the current mode. Press UP or DOWN buttons to change the value.

Fahrenheit and Celsius Conversion

To switch displayed units between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C), set the controller to OFF Mode, then hold the UP BUTTON and DOWN BUTTON simultaneously for 3 seconds.

Temperature & Humidity Calibration

To adjust the temperature and humidity readings from the sensor probe:

  1. Set the controller to OFF Mode.
  2. Hold the LEAF Button and MODE BUTTON simultaneously for 5 seconds to start temperature calibration. Perform this operation again to start humidity calibration.
  3. When the corresponding data flashes on the screen, press the UP/DOWN BUTTON to calibrate the temperature/humidity.
  4. To save the settings, hold the LEAF Button and MODE BUTTON simultaneously for 5 seconds once more.
