LTECH HSD-BLE Motion Sensor

Overview

The Xiaolei HSD-BLE motion sensor detects human movement and ambient light changes using Bluetooth 5.0 SIG Mesh networking. It supports OTA updates and, when paired with a smart gateway and connected to the app, can trigger local or cloud automation scenes.

Technical Specifications

• Coverage guidance (lab-derived): Maximum detection radius varies by ceiling height (examples shown in manual): 2.5 m→3.0 m; 3.0 m→3.5 m; 3.5 m→4.0 m; 4.0 m→5.5 m.
• Note: Data is derived from laboratory tests; actual values may vary by usage scenario.

Setup and Use

1. Install (pair first): Complete pairing via the App before installation.
2. Mount the sensor:
   • Adhesive tape: Peel the tape and stick the sensor on a wall or flat table surface.
   • Screw mounting: Rotate the bottom cover counterclockwise, secure the cover to the wall/table with screws, then rotate clockwise to reattach the sensor unit.
3. Verify indicator response: Wave your hand at the ideal trigger position and confirm the red indicator flashes. If not, adjust installation angle/position and test again.
4. App installation and configuration: Register an account in the App, then on the [Room] interface tap + to add a device and select Sensor – Human Body Sensor HSD-BLE.
5. Automation setup (optional): Ensure a smart gateway is added to the family network, then create an automation on the [Smart]  by selecting local or cloud execution mode and setting trigger conditions and actions.

Troubleshooting

1. If the App fails to find the device:
   • Ensure the device is powered on normally and is fully activated.
   • Keep your mobile phone close to the device (recommended distance under 15 meters).
   • Verify the device has not already been bound to another account; if it has, perform a manual factory reset.
2. If the indicator does not flash during the response test: Adjust the installation angle/position and test again (wave your hand at the ideal trigger position).

Battery Replacement

1. Rotate counterclockwise to remove the bottom cover
2. Replace the battery
3. Rotate clockwise to tighten the bottom cover.

Installation Method

(Note: Please complete pairing via the APP before installation.)

• Method 1: Peel off the tape and stick it on the wall or table.
• Method 2: Rotate to open the bottom cover, secure the cover to the wall or table with screws, then reattach the sensor.

Installation Precautions
During installation, please refer to “Detection Angle and Range.” on After installation, test the response between the user and the sensor as follows: Wave your hand at the ideal trigger position of the sensor and check if the red indicator flashes.If not, adjust the position and test again.

App Operating Instructions

1. Register an account
   Scan the QR code below with you mobile phone and follow the prompts to complete the app installation.
2. 2. Configure
   After a new user creates a family on the APP, click “+” in the upper right corner of the 【Room】interface to add a device. Select “Sensor – Human Body Sensor HSD-BLE” in the list of added devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the addition.
3. 3. Automation
   Make sure that a smart gateway, such as SP-GW-12S has been added to the family. Select “Automation” in the【Smart】 and click “+” to create automation. You can choose local/cloud execution mode, and set trigger conditions and execution actions. When the set trigger conditions are met, a series of device actions are automatically triggered to achieve remote linkage.

Factory Reset

• Method 1: Press and hold the sensor button for 15 seconds until the indicator flashes rapidly, then release. Short press the knob 3 times within 3 seconds. The indicator will blink, indicating the device has been restored to factory settings.
• Method 2: Remove the battery and wait for 20 seconds. Hold down the sensor button, reinstall the battery. The indicator will flash rapidly 5 times, indicating the device has been restored to factory settings.
• Method 3: Open the L-Home APP, locate the device and enter its settings . Connect your phone to Bluetooth and keep the device near the phone. Quickly short-press the button 5 times within 2 seconds. The indicator will flash 3 times to activate the device. Then tap the “Delete Device” button. When the interface shows “Deleted successfully”, the device has been restored to factory settings.

Attentions

• For optimal performance, use this product in an open area. Do not install the sensor near or behind metal surfaces, tall cabinets, shelves, hanging fixtures, ceiling fans, or similar objects. Keep the area around the device free of metal obstructions. Since the sensor cannot penetrate glass, do not install it on glass surfaces such as patio doors or shower doors. Hot objects and moving air may affect sensor performance and reduce motion detection sensitivity. For reliable operation, install the sensor at least 1.2 meters away from air conditioning vents, halogen lamps, and incandescent light bulbs located below ceiling lines.
• Devices emitting radio frequency (RF) energy may interfere with sensor performance. For reliable operation, install the sensor at least 1.2 meters away from radio-emitting devices such as microwave ovens and wireless routers.
• When installing multiple sensors, maintain a distance of more than 0.3 meters between each unit.
• Do not incinerate. Keep away from heat sources.
• Not for use in damp or wet environments.
• Do not disassemble the product by yourself, as this will void the warranty.
• Do not open, modify, repair or service this product, otherwise the warranty will be invalidated.

Warranty Agreement

• Warranty periods from the date of delivery: 2 years.
• Free repair or replacement services for quality problems are provided within the warranty periods.

Warranty exclusions below:
The following conditions are not within the guarantee range of free repairing or replacement services:

• Beyond warranty periods.
• Any artificial damage caused by high voltage, overload, or improper operations. Products with severe physical damage.
• Damage caused by natural disasters and force majeure.
• Warranty labels and barcodes have been damaged.
• No any contract signed by LTECH.
