Product Information
DriveView9 is a software designed to communicate with specific
models of inverters. It supports various communication protocols
such as Modbus-TCP, Modbus-RTU, and LS485. Different connection
methods are required based on the model of the inverter.
Usage Instructions
1. Compatibility Check
Before connecting DriveView9, ensure that your inverter model is
compatible with the software. Refer to the compatibility table
provided in the user manual to verify compatibility.
2. Communication Type
DriveView9 supports three communication methods:
- Modbus-TCP: Industrial Ethernet Protocol
- Modbus-RTU: Standard protocol for equipment control
- LS485: Protocol specific to LSELECTRIC products
3. Connection Setup
To connect DriveView9:
- All models except M100 can be connected via RS485.
- iV5 requires a communication option (LS485/Modbus-RTU).
- For specific models like iS7, H100, S100, use USB-RJ45 cable
for connection.
4. Convertor Cable
Refer to the provided convertor cables for connecting different
models of inverters to DriveView9.

– DriveView7 is a software that was used before DriveView9. Driveview7 is only supported with older inverters. Even if it is a supported model, it is only available in a lower version of the OS environment, so be careful.
– If DriveView9 and Inverter cannot communicate with each other, check the table below to see if the OS version of the inverter is compatible with DriveView9, and use DriveView that supports the Inverter OS.

2. Communication type(protocol)
– DriveView9 supports three communication methods (Modbus-TCP, Modbus-RTU, LS485). – Modbus-TCP: Industrial Ethernet Protocol Developed for Wide Area Network (WAN) – Modbus-RTU : A standard protocol that is simple but can perform the functions necessary for equipment control and monitoring, and is released free of charge and widely used as a standard protocol. – LS-485 : A dedicated protocol used only among LSELECTRIC products.
3. How to connect DriveView9
3. How to connect DriveView9
1) All models except M100 can be connected by RS485. iV5 requires communication option (LS485/Modbus-RTU)
The USB-RS485 uses a two-way signal converter. Connect the USB to the computer and wire the 485 line (+), (-) to
the S+,S- on the inverter terminal.
