Charging
- It will automatically charge during normal casting and when the spool is spinning freely
- In the powered-off state, the charging speed is more than twice as fast when the spool is spinning freely or when casting compared to when it is turned on
- When you hear the electromagnetic sound while the spool is rotating, it indicates that it is charging
- If fast charging is desired, set the system to silent mode or wait for the system to shut down before rotating the spool
Notes
- In the ‘Bluetooth Connection’ interface, do not click ‘Search Bluetooth’ and ‘Confirm Connection’ buttons before the Bluetooth name appears. After selecting the corresponding Bluetooth name, click ‘Connect Bluetooth.’ Some phones may require some time to establish a connection; during this time, avoid repeatedly clicking ‘Confirm Connection.’
- If not in use for an extended period, try to keep the battery level above 80%, as a lower level may impact the battery’s lifespan. It is recommended to perform a charge-discharge maintenance every three months and store the device in a cool and dry environment.
Important Function Instructions
- Gear Adjustment: There are a total of 10 gears in the main range, ranging from 0 to 9 (the button can only adjust from 1 to 4). Fine-tuning can be done between two gears. On the mobile app, there are gears from 1 to 100, while the button adjusts gears only from 1 to 4. It is important to note that both the button and the mobile app can be used simultaneously to adjust the gears
- Electromagnetic Boost: To enhance the spool startup performance, allowing for a higher initial speed, suitable for micro casting, pitching, and non-forceful casting. Violent casting does not significantly affect casting distance
- Silent Mode: In states other than button operation, there is no light or sound. If the braking sound is loud, you can use ‘Brake Frequency
Conversion’ to reduce the braking noise - Water Landing Brake Assist: The last segment before the bait is about to hit the water, the spool will be braked
- Fancy Lights: Colorful ambient lighting during casting
- Noise Off: When enabled, the braking sound is reduced, and the braking force is enhanced
- Fancy Sound: The buzzer sound that changes with the spool rotation speed during casting
- Casting Mode: Master Mode, All-Purpose Mode, Finesse Mode, Wind Resistance Mode, Beginner Mode. It is recommended to start with Beginner Mode and activate the rear brake. Practice brake levels from 5 and above, and it is suggested to use baits weighing 7g or more

- A short press displays the current fine-tuning level (number of green light flashes). Another short press adjusts the fine-tuning level, with higher levels corresponding to higher brightness. When the multi-function key is closed, the switching sequence is 1-4 in a loop; when opened, the sequence is 4-1 in a loop (sound prompts automatically turn off when the battery is low)
- A long press of 1-2 seconds displays the current brake level (number of red light flashes). Another long press of 1-2 seconds switches the brake level, with higher levels corresponding to higher brightness. When the multi-function key is closed, the switching sequence is 1-4 in a loop; when opened, the sequence is 4-1 in a loop; There is an audible prompt when switching levels (sound prompts automatically turn off when the battery is low)
- Long press for 3-4 seconds to switch casting modes; the indicator light will change according to the casting mode. The colors corresponding to different modes will flash once every 5 seconds

Need to activate the ‘Multi-function’ Key within the software
Double-click to turn on or off the flashlight
Short press to activate or deactivate the Rear brake
Long press for 1-2 seconds to turn on or off the night fishing light
Long press for 3-4 seconds to turn on or off casting fancy sound effects
- The button needs a minimum press time of 0.3 seconds to be effective
- Wait for 1 second after double-clicking the button before further actions, otherwise the button will not respond
- Double-click to enter the second function state of the button; LED turning off signifies exiting the second function state
- Double-click twice to turn on the flashlight; at this point, the button status reverts to the first function state
- In silent mode, only the button lights up, and no sound is emitted
- When the ‘Multi-function’ key is turned off, only brake fine-tuning and gear adjustment in the first function are available; other system modes and the second function cannot be used
Guides to Common Problems Encountered with Fishing Reels

- Is my Loongze reel waterproof?
The Loongze reel is resistant to short-term water immersion, ensuring optimal performance during rainy-day fishing. It is also suitable for saltwater use with proper care. (After using the Loongze reel in saltwater, promptly remove the side cover components for cleaning and maintenance) - The mobile app is unable to connect to the fishing reel:
To connect your phone to the Loongze reel, make sure Bluetooth and location services are turned on, double-click the reel button to initiate the Bluetooth connection (it will automatically turn off if not connected within 60 seconds). - Is it possible to use a Loongze reel without a mobile application?
Yes, it is ok, and we would recommend utilizing the button controls to adjust the Loongze reel. The buttons offer five casting modes, and each mode comes wit a 4×4 range for precise adjustments. - How long can I expect my power supply to last?
Rapidly cranking the reel handle along with regular casting will automatically charge the device. The following features, when activated, will affect power consumption: high-frequency casting, LED lights and electronic beeps.. Enabling these power consuming features during normal fishing activities has minimal impact on battery life because charging occurs during casting. However, toggling the silent mode during low battery or non-casting periods significantly extends battery usage time. In a fully charged state, it can stand-by for over 3 months. - Why do I hear a noise when I’m casting?
Choosing different product models can impact the fancy sounds. The force during casting and different bait weights can also impact these sounds.
Turning on the ‘Noise Off’ setting can essentially close the fancy sounds. ‘Fancy Sound’ adds personalized sounds on base of the DC sound. In fact, there are two different sounds during casting: fancy sounds and personalized sounds, both of which can be independently turned on or off.
What is Master mode?
In this mode, the brake curve can be adjusted, unlike in other modes. Both the front and rear brake curves are adjusted individually, and the datum are set in a parabolic manner, with the system automatically matching the adjustments. Anglers who do not know how to make adjustments can simply turn off both options to 0.
About Precision casting:
The numerical value, 0-50, is approximately equal to the line payout length. This means that the system initiatesbraking from the set line payout length, and the corresponding brake setting applies until reaching the set value. 0 indicates the feature is turned off.
Does spool tension affect the digital braking?
The level of looseness in the line spool has minimal impact on the electromagnetic brake. However, excessive movement of the line spool can increase wear, and high- speed rotations also increase noise.
What is the Sleep Time setting?
The setting for the sleep timer is intended to shut down the device after a certain period of inactivity when the Loongze reel is not casting or being operated. After shutdown, any key press will power on the device. When the Bluetooth is turned on by double-clicking the button, if there is no connection within 60 seconds, the Bluetooth will automatically turn off. To connect the device to a phone after the timeout, you need to double-click the button again to reconnect.

About Warranty
Warranty Notice: This product is thoroughly inspected before shipment. The warranty period is one year from the date of purchase, provided that users comply with the instructions in this manual and adhere to proper storage conditions. During the warranty period, any malfunctions arising from quality issues will be repaired by the company or authorized dealers. However, damages resulting from improper use, self-disassembly, or force majeure are not covered by the warranty and may incur appropriate repair charges.

- Warranty Coverage: The warranty covers only the products and parts documented with the company’s markings. During the warranty period, malfunction of electronic components occur under normal usage conditions (as per the instruction manual) and when the company acknowledges the fault, the repair or replacement of the affected part is the responsibility of the company.
- Warranty Claim Process: To initiate a warranty claim, please provide a set of three items including the warranty card, the fishing reel, and a dated proof of purchase (screenshot of the purchase date from various platforms). Please note that if any of these three items are missing, warranty services cannot be provided
- Out-of-warranty coverage: Damages incurred, including but not limited to travel expenses for fishing, ferry fees, costs of purchasing fishing equipment such as rods, lines, rigs, floats, bait, as well as repair expenses, arising from faults in this product are not eligible for warranty.
