3. Product Introduction
3.1 Introduction
CAML10048- lithium iron phosphate battery backup is new energy storage battery products developed and produced by Loom Solar according to market demand, it can be used to provide reliable backup power for various types of communication operators of 48V power supply equipment. CAML10048 is especially suitable for operating environment of high temperature, limited installation space, light load -bearing and long cycle life applications. CAML10048 has built -in BMS battery management system. Under normal circumstances, the main power provides energy for user equipment and charging battery; when the power supply interrupted, the battery provides energy for user equipment.

5.1 Preparing for installation
After removing the battery package, check that the MCB is at the OFF position. Place the battery disconnected where it is isolated from any electrical source and turn the MCB
to ON.

Verify that the red ALM LED does not stay on for more than 30 seconds, otherwise notify the carrier and / or warehouse as soon as possible.

Turn MCB to the OFF position and continue with the installation.

5.2 Mounting the battery
Insert the battery into the 19-inch rack or cabinet. Fix and fasten the battery mounting ears with 4 M6*15 crown screws with 5-7 N·m. In case of several batteries’ parallel connection, it is advisable to leave a space of at least 10mm
between them. Mounting orientation: Horizontal

Mounting orientation: Vertical (+ve terminal shall be upwards as shown below)

CAML 10048 -RM Operation Manual V1.1

5.3 Cable connection
It is recommended that the cable length between the battery and the power plant should not be greater than 2.5m.
If multi battery modules connected, all positive and negative power cables MUST be chosen as the same gauge and the same length.
It is recommended that the cable connected to the (+) terminal is red, and the cable connected to the (-) terminal is black.
Connect `+’ of battery output with positive busbar of power plant, and `-‘ with negative busbar. Don’t connect power connection wires in daisy chain to parallel the battery packs.
5.4 Power on
Before power on , check all the cables whether connected correctly Turn on the power supply (rectifier) Set the battery MCB to on status Observe Run/Alarm indicator and judge the battery operating status. If th e RUN indicator of the
battery is on and the ALARM indicator is off, indicating that the battery is working normally.
