Legacy hardware revisions (C7 v1–v4) historically shipped admin/admin, but that isn't stated on a single current official page. To reset, hold Reset until the Power LED blinks, then create a new password. |
| TP-LinkArcher AX10 (AX1500)Router · Web | http://tplinkwifi.net (opens in a new tab)http://192.168.0.1 (opens in a new tab) | No username required | Password created during setup | AX1500 is entry-level WiFi 6, and the Archer AX10 handles credentials the same way the rest of the range does: the first login is where you create the admin password, because current firmware carries none. Wireless SSID and key live on the underside label and are unrelated to that password. Recovery & reset instructionsPowered up, press the recessed Reset button on the back with a pin and hold near 10 seconds until the LEDs blink; release and wait for the reboot to factory defaults. Reconnect using the underside label's wireless name and key, visit http://tplinkwifi.net or 192.168.0.1, and create the admin password anew. |

Current TP-Link firmware treats the first web login as a registration step — you define the admin password, and there is nothing to type in a username box. Wireless SSID and key are separate values, printed on the label beneath the chassis. Recovery & reset instructionsWhile powered, push a pin into the recessed Reset button on the back and hold about 10 seconds; the LEDs blink, then release. A reboot returns factory defaults. Reconnect to the stock AX1800 network using the underside label, visit http://tplinkwifi.net or 192.168.0.1, and define the admin password once more. |

The create-password screen is the first thing the web UI shows, and whatever you type there is the password from then on. The bottom label carries only the wireless name and key, never the admin password. Recovery & reset instructionsSwitch the router on, insert a pin into the recessed Reset button on the back, and keep it down for around 10 seconds until the LEDs blink. Release and let it reboot to factory defaults. Get back on the default WiFi with the label credentials, go to http://tplinkwifi.net or 192.168.0.1, and set the admin password again. |
| TP-LinkArcher AX90 (AX6600)Router · Web | http://tplinkwifi.net (opens in a new tab)http://192.168.0.1 (opens in a new tab) | No username required | Password created during setup | Archer AX90 is the non-gaming tri-band AX6600 sibling. Its web UI has no factory password to guess: the initial page asks you to establish one, with no username alongside. The label under the router lists the wireless name and key only. Recovery & reset instructionsHold the recessed Reset button roughly 10 seconds with a pin while the unit is running, and release at the LED blink. After the restart everything is back to factory defaults. Join the label-printed wireless network, browse to http://tplinkwifi.net or 192.168.0.1, and establish a new admin password. |

| TP-LinkArcher BE550 (BE9300)Router · Web | http://tplinkwifi.net (opens in a new tab)http://192.168.0.1 (opens in a new tab) | No username required | Password created during setup | The BE9300-class Archer BE550 is a WiFi 7 router whose admin password simply does not exist until you type it. TP-Link's current firmware opens on a password-creation prompt rather than a login box, and no username is involved. Bottom-label printing covers the wireless SSID and key, nothing more. Recovery & reset instructionsKeep the recessed Reset button pressed with a pin for roughly 10 seconds while powered, releasing once the LEDs change. Factory defaults return after the reboot. Attach to the default wireless network shown on the bottom label, open http://tplinkwifi.net or 192.168.0.1, and type a new admin password at the prompt. |
| TP-LinkArcher BE800 (BE19000)Router · Web | http://tplinkwifi.net (opens in a new tab)http://192.168.0.1 (opens in a new tab) | No username required | Password created during setup | BE19000 marks the Archer BE800 as WiFi 7 hardware. The login flow did not change with the generation: no default password ships, and the first time you reach the web UI it asks you to make one up. The wireless name and key printed on the bottom label are not the admin credential. Recovery & reset instructionsWith the router on, use a pin to hold the recessed Reset button for about 10 seconds until the LEDs change, then let go. It reboots to factory defaults. Reconnect over the default wireless network named on the bottom label, load http://tplinkwifi.net or 192.168.0.1, and make up a new admin password. |

| TP-LinkArcher C1200 (AC1200)Router · Web | http://tplinkwifi.net (opens in a new tab)http://192.168.0.1 (opens in a new tab) | No username required | Password created during setup | This is an older model: the earliest firmware used admin / admin, but current firmware requires you to create your own admin password on first login. If admin/admin does not work, the router has already prompted for (and you set) a custom password. The default Wi-Fi details are on the bottom label. Recovery & reset instructionsWith the router powered on, use a pin to press and hold the recessed Reset button on the back for about 10 seconds until the LEDs blink, then release. The router reboots to factory defaults. Reconnect to the default Wi-Fi (SSID and password on the bottom label), open http://tplinkwifi.net or 192.168.0.1, and log in or create the admin password. |
| TP-LinkArcher C5Router · Web | http://tplinkwifi.net (opens in a new tab)http://192.168.0.1 (opens in a new tab) | No username required | Password created during setup | Per TP-Link's official login guide, newer TP-Link models (including current Archer C5 firmware) require you to create a custom admin password on first login; only older units used admin / admin. When ACT Fibernet supplies an Archer C5 it may be pre-provisioned with an ISP-set password (commonly on the install slip), so admin/admin should not be assumed. Recovery & reset instructionsConnect to the router by Wi-Fi (default network name/password are on the router label) or LAN, then open http://tplinkwifi.net or http://192.168.0.1 in a browser. On current firmware you are prompted to create your own admin password on first login — there is no admin/admin. If you forget it, press and hold the recessed RESET button for about 10 seconds until the router reboots, then reopen tplinkwifi.net and create a new password. |
| TP-LinkArcher C54 (AC1200)Router · Web | http://tplinkwifi.net (opens in a new tab)http://192.168.0.1 (opens in a new tab) | No username required | Password created during setup | The Archer C54 is an AC1200 dual-band unit. Its management password has no factory value: the first visit to the admin UI is a create-a-password screen, and there is no username field beside it. The wireless key you need to get onto the network in the first place is on the bottom label. Recovery & reset instructionsHold the recessed rear Reset button with a pin for about 10 seconds while the router is on, releasing when the LEDs blink. It restarts at factory defaults. Reconnect over the default AC1200 wireless network (name and key on the bottom label), open http://tplinkwifi.net or 192.168.0.1, and create a replacement admin password. |
| TP-LinkArcher C6Router · Web | http://tplinkwifi.net (opens in a new tab)http://192.168.0.1 (opens in a new tab) | No username required | Password created during setup | Directories that print admin/admin for the Archer C6 are quoting a default this 802.11ac router never had. Firmware blocks you at the first login screen until you supply a password of your own choosing. Separately, the factory wireless SSID and its key are silkscreened on the sticker underneath. Recovery & reset instructionsPower on, then hold the recessed Reset button on the back with a pin for roughly 10 seconds — release once the LEDs blink. Factory defaults come back after the reboot. Join the stock wireless network using the sticker credentials, load http://tplinkwifi.net or 192.168.0.1, and choose a fresh admin password at the prompt. |
| TP-LinkArcher C80Router · Web | http://tplinkwifi.net (opens in a new tab)http://192.168.0.1 (opens in a new tab) | No username required | Password created during setup | Two passwords matter on an Archer C80 and they are not the same thing. The WiFi 5 (802.11ac) network name and key are printed on the underside label. The admin password is not printed anywhere — current Archer firmware makes you invent one at first login, so admin/admin does not apply. Recovery & reset instructionsWith the router powered on, use a pin to press and hold the recessed Reset button on the back for about 10 seconds until the LEDs blink, then release. The router reboots to factory defaults. Rejoin the default WiFi with the SSID and key from the bottom label, browse to http://tplinkwifi.net or 192.168.0.1, and invent a new admin password when prompted. |

No factory pair exists. What is preprinted on the bottom label is the wireless network name and its key, which is a different credential. Recovery & reset instructionsWith power applied, hold the recessed Reset button for about 10 seconds using a pin, letting go when the LEDs blink. The GX90 reboots into factory defaults. Rejoin the default wireless network from the label, open http://tplinkwifi.net or 192.168.0.1, and create the admin password again. |

The official install path is the Deco app signed in with a TP-Link ID; no universal default password exists. Web management at tplinkdeco.net (192.168.68.1) uses that same TP-Link ID password. Recovery & reset instructionsUse Reset inside the Deco app, or hold the physical Reset button on a Deco unit until the light pulses and set it up again in the app. |
| TP-LinkDeco M4Mesh system · App | App / account access | Not specified | Vendor app or account | Deco M4 units are managed the way every Deco is: from the phone app, tied to a TP-Link ID login. No browser-based admin page exists, so no factory admin/admin can exist either. Whoever runs the initial install picks the wireless name and passphrase. Recovery & reset instructionsWith a pin, depress Reset on the bottom of the node for about a second. The light flashes yellow while clearing, turns steady yellow while restarting, and pulses blue once defaults are restored. Setup then starts over inside the Deco app after you sign in to your TP-Link ID. |
| TP-LinkDeco X20Mesh system · App | App / account access | Not specified | Vendor app or account | Lists that publish a default admin password for the Deco X20 are describing hardware it does not have. This WiFi 6 node offers no web interface at all — management happens only in the Deco app under a TP-Link ID account, and the wireless name plus its password are ones you pick yourself at install time. Recovery & reset instructionsHold the bottom-mounted Reset button down with a pin for around one second. Yellow flashing shows the erase running, steady yellow covers the restart, and blue pulsing confirms the unit sits at factory defaults again. Re-provisioning means opening the Deco app, signing into your TP-Link ID, and naming the network once more. |
| TP-LinkDeco X50Mesh system · App | App / account access | Not specified | Vendor app or account | The credential that matters on a Deco X50 is your TP-Link ID, not a router password. Setup, firmware and every setting live inside the Deco phone app; there is no web console to point a browser at. The WiFi 6 network name and passphrase get defined during that first app-guided install. Recovery & reset instructionsA pin into the Reset hole on the underside, held for about a second, starts the wipe. The indicator flashes yellow during the reset, goes solid yellow through the reboot, then pulses blue once the node is back at factory defaults. From there the Deco app plus your TP-Link ID re-provisions it from scratch. |

Recovery & reset instructionsPress the recessed Reset button underneath the unit with a pin and hold roughly one second.
