South Africa — Telkom's own VPN-Lite Billion 400G user manual, distinct ISP from the already-seeded Vodacom. Telkom's official PDF states: "You will be prompted to supply a username and password. The user name is admin and the password is admin" and separately, for the setup utility: "By default the router login name will be admin and the login password will be admin. The default IP address for the router is 10.0.0.2."

Recovery & reset instructions

Open a browser to http://10.0.0.2 and log in with username admin / password admin (the manual notes this is the factory-default state); Telnet access uses the same admin/admin pair via "telnet 10.0.0.2".

South Africa — Telkom's own "do Broadband powered by Telkom" co-branded NETGEAR DGN2200Mv2 user manual (ADSL2+ modem router), a distinct model/revision and IP scheme (10.0.0.2, not the generic 192.168.0.1 already seeded for the plain Netgear DGN2200). Telkom's official PDF states: "Enter admin for the user name and your password (or the default, admin)."

Recovery & reset instructions

Browse to http://www.routerlogin.com (or http://10.0.0.2) and log in — the manual states to enter admin for the user name and the password, or the default, admin.

How to reach your router

  1. Connect your computer or phone to the router’s Wi-Fi or an Ethernet port.
  2. Open a documented login address. If it does not load, look for the Router or Default gateway address in your device’s network settings.
  3. Match your model and hardware revision to the table. Use the device label or your setup password when the model has no shared default.

Admin password or Wi-Fi password?

The admin password opens the router’s settings. The Wi-Fi password connects a device to the wireless network. They may be different, and an ISP or cloud account can be separate again.

If the password does not work

Check capitalization and the device label, then use the manufacturer’s password-recovery instructions. A factory reset erases settings and may require ISP setup details; follow the instructions for your exact model.
