First whole-brand coverage of Juniper's branch-firewall line, same enterprise category as the existing Fortinet/WatchGuard/Sophos/Barracuda rows. Juniper's SRX300 quick-start documentation states: "You don't need a password if you're running the factory default," and the general Junos user-access docs add: "Initially, you log in as the user root with no password."

Recovery & reset instructions

Attach a console cable or connect to a LAN port and browse to the default J-Web address 192.168.1.1. Log in as root with no password, then run 'cli' to reach the command line. To return a configured unit to factory state, run 'request system zeroize' (wipes all config) or reimage Junos OS.

A smaller-chassis sibling of this run's SRX300, same root/no-password factory behavior. Juniper's SRX320 configuration documentation states: "No password is needed when running the factory default"; management is reached at the LAN address 192.168.1.1.

Recovery & reset instructions

Attach a console cable or use the default LAN port at 192.168.1.1 (J-Web). Log in as root with no password, then run 'cli'. To wipe back to factory defaults, run 'request system zeroize' from operational mode.

How to reach your router

  1. Connect your computer or phone to the router’s Wi-Fi or an Ethernet port.
  2. Open a documented login address. If it does not load, look for the Router or Default gateway address in your device’s network settings.
  3. Match your model and hardware revision to the table. Use the device label or your setup password when the model has no shared default.

Admin password or Wi-Fi password?

The admin password opens the router’s settings. The Wi-Fi password connects a device to the wireless network. They may be different, and an ISP or cloud account can be separate again.

If the password does not work

Check capitalization and the device label, then use the manufacturer’s password-recovery instructions. A factory reset erases settings and may require ISP setup details; follow the instructions for your exact model.
