Managed entirely from the Firewalla iOS/Android app — there is NO web-admin username/password on the box. Setup: install the app, tap +, and pair using the bundled red security dongle. The optional web interface (my.firewalla.com) authenticates through the paired app, not device credentials. Recovery & reset instructionsSetup/pairing and factory reset are driven from the Firewalla app; the hardware reset varies by model (Gold Pro has a dedicated Reset button, others reset via SD-card reflash) — see Firewalla's 'How to reset Firewalla box' article. |
| FirewallaPurpleModem / gateway · App | App / account access | Not specified | Vendor app or account | Gigabit firewall/router security gateway with dual-band Wi-Fi. Managed entirely from the Firewalla iOS/Android app — there is NO on-box web login. Recovery & reset instructionsPairing and factory reset are handled through the Firewalla app; see Firewalla's 'How to reset Firewalla box' article for the hardware reset procedure. |
| FirewallaPurple SEModem / gateway · App | App / account access | Not specified | Vendor app or account | Affordable hardware refresh of the already-seeded Firewalla Purple: 4-core CPU (vs 6-core), no built-in WiFi, max 500 Mbps throughput (vs 1 Gbps), OpenVPN capped at 60 Mbps / WireGuard at 220 Mbps. Firewalla: "Purple SE is an affordable version of Firewalla Purple, without short-distance Wi-Fi, for network speeds below 500 Mbps... A smartphone is required to use the unit." GET CONNECTED
The admin password opens the router’s settings. The Wi-Fi password connects a device to the wireless network. They may be different, and an ISP or cloud account can be separate again.
Check capitalization and the device label, then use the manufacturer’s password-recovery instructions. A factory reset erases settings and may require ISP setup details; follow the instructions for your exact model.
