Official manual: "If the web interface is password protected (see type plate), it is recommended to set an individual password when logging in for the first time... The default WiFi key for the initial installation of the Magic 2 WiFi 6 next is the device's WiFi key. You will find the unique key on the label on the back of the housing." Recovery & reset instructionsPress and hold the PLC/reset button (next to the network jacks) for about 10 seconds until the LED flashes red at 0.5-second intervals — this restores factory defaults and the Wi-Fi key reverts to the unique key printed on the housing label. |
| DevoloMagic 2 WiFi nextMesh system · Web | – | No username required | Password created during setup | Wall-plug Powerline (G.hn, up to 2400 Mbps) plus dual-band mesh Wi-Fi 5 adapter (802.11a/b/g/n/ac up to 1200 Mbps, 4 antennas, band steering/roaming), with a pass-through socket and 2x gigabit LAN; sold in devolo's 'Mesh WiFi 2' kits. The built-in web interface has NO default password — assigning a login password is mandatory on first login. No fixed default IP: reach the UI via devolo Cockpit or the Home Network App. The Wi-Fi key (separate from the admin login) is unique and printed on the housing label. GET CONNECTED
The admin password opens the router’s settings. The Wi-Fi password connects a device to the wireless network. They may be different, and an ISP or cloud account can be separate again.
Check capitalization and the device label, then use the manufacturer’s password-recovery instructions. A factory reset erases settings and may require ISP setup details; follow the instructions for your exact model.
