First whole-brand coverage of Check Point's small-business security gateway line. Check Point's own admin documentation states: "We recommend that you change the default 'admin' login name of the administrator," with the appliance reached at https://192.168.1.1:4434 and the First Time Configuration Wizard requiring a new password — there is no static factory password.

Recovery & reset instructions

Connect a PC to a LAN port, browse to https://192.168.1.1:4434 — the First Time Configuration Wizard launches automatically. The default administrator login name is 'admin'; the wizard requires you to create a strong password (min. 6 characters, upper+lower case, special character) before the gateway will complete setup. To factory reset, use the hardware reset button or the Gaia CLI 'reboot_to_factory_defaults' command.

A higher-tier sibling of this run's Quantum Spark 1600, from the same R81.10.X Locally-Managed Admin Guide covering the 1500-2000 series: "Browse to default gateway IP address: https://192.168.1.1:4434," with the admin login name 'admin' set during the First Time Wizard and no static default password.

Recovery & reset instructions

Connect a PC to a LAN port, browse to https://192.168.1.1:4434 to launch the First Time Configuration Wizard. Default admin login name is 'admin'; a new password must be created during the wizard (no static default password). Factory reset via the hardware reset button or Gaia CLI 'reboot_to_factory_defaults'.

How to reach your router

  1. Connect your computer or phone to the router’s Wi-Fi or an Ethernet port.
  2. Open a documented login address. If it does not load, look for the Router or Default gateway address in your device’s network settings.
  3. Match your model and hardware revision to the table. Use the device label or your setup password when the model has no shared default.

Admin password or Wi-Fi password?

The admin password opens the router’s settings. The Wi-Fi password connects a device to the wireless network. They may be different, and an ISP or cloud account can be separate again.

If the password does not work

Check capitalization and the device label, then use the manufacturer’s password-recovery instructions. A factory reset erases settings and may require ISP setup details; follow the instructions for your exact model.
