INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
STEP 1: BEFORE YOU BEGIN
IDENTIFY YOUR SURFACE
The first step is to determine your surface and ensure compatibility. Liquid Rubber Asphalt Patch can be used on asphalt driveways, asphalt pathways, asphalt parking lots and asphalt roadways.
INSPECT YOUR ASPHALT
- Improperly prepared surfaces can result in the reduction of the service life and performance of the membrane coating. Your surface should be free of dirt, water, and loose debris.

STEP 2: ONCE YOU HAVE YOUR SUPPLIES

Liquid Rubber Asphalt Patch can be applied in all weather conditions and temperatures.
SET UP & CLEAN UP
Stay organized and limit clean up by following these setup tips:
- Set out a tarp or large piece of cardboard to keep containers and tools on when not in use.
- Make sure you have mineral oil/baby oil, rags, a scraper, and odorless mineral spirits on hand, so you are ready if a spillage occurs*
- Clean skin immediately with mineral oil/baby oil
- Spills on surfaces should be cleaned immediately with mineral spirits (sparingly) or baby oil to weaken surface
- If the spillage dries, scrape it off with a razor/scraper/etc and use a wire brush to remove then clean with rags
- Refer to the product Safety Data Sheet for personal protective equipment recommendations.
*Test inconspicuous area first to ensure no discoloration on surface Warning: Mineral spirits can spread stain. Use sparingly
STEP 3: PREPARE THE AREA
PREPARATION & CLEANING
Clean all loose asphalt (create as clean and strong an edge as possible), soils, vegetation and standing water from the crack. Scrubbed, rinsed and vacuumed out is best.

STEP 4: APPLY THE PATCH
HOW TO APPLY LIQUID RUBBER ASPHALT PATCH
Once the area is clean and dry you can begin your full field application for pitting, spalling, and small potholes over 12mm (½”)
- Loosen material in pail with a putty knife, garden shovel or other appropriate tool.
- Fill pothole, crack or pitted area evenly and slightly proud (above) the surface (approximately 1/8″ – 1/4″ depending on the depth of the repair)
- For potholes deeper than 2″, allow 24 hours between each application depth of 2″
- Use the putty knife, garden shovel, or other appropriate tool to scrape off excess material and expose the edges of the repair
- Add additional material to fill low spots and re-tamp if necessary. (Product may still be pliable but should be fairly solid after tamping)
- Do not park on newly repaired potholes for 24-48 hours

HELPFUL TIPS
- Use disposable gloves
- Do not let unused material in the pail freeze
- Store above 10°C/50°F
- Reseal bag after use to extend shelf life up to 12 months
- For potholes deeper than 2″, allow 24 hours between each application depth of 2″ Can be applied in all temperatures and climates
- For cracks ⅛”- ¼” use Liquid Rubber Asphalt Crack Filler
- If coating over with Liquid Rubber Driveway Restore, allow 24 hours before coating
