SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
DANGER: 1. Do not open the device and do not make any modifications. 2. If your device no longer functions properly, if liquids or objects get inside it or if it has
been damaged in any other way, switch it off immediately and disconnect it from the mains. The device may be repaired only by authorised repair technicians. 3. For devices of protection class 1 the protective conductor must be connected correctly. Never disconnect the protective conductor. Devices of protection class 2 do not have a protective conductor. 4. ATTENTION: 1. Do not switch on the device if it has been exposed to extreme temperature fluctuations
(for example, following transport). Moisture and condensation can damage the device. Switch on the device only when it has reached ambient temperature. 2. Make sure that the voltage and frequency of the mains supply correspond to the values indicated on the device. If the device has a voltage selector switch, do not turn the device on until it has been set correctly. Use only suitable power cables. 3. To disconnect the device from the mains at all poles, it is not sufficient to press the on/off switch on the device. 4. Make sure that the fuse used corresponds to the type specified on the device. 5. Make sure that appropriate measures have been taken against power surges (e.g. lightning strike). 6. Observe the specified maximum output current on devices with Power Out connection. Ensure that the total current consumption of all connected devices does not exceed the specified value. 7. Replace pluggable power cables only with original cables.

Ventilation openings must not be covered and fans must not be blocked. 4. Use the original packaging or packaging provided by the manufacturer for transport. 5. Avoid shock or impact to the device. 6. Observe the IP protection class as well as the ambient conditions such as temperature and humidity according to the specification. 7. Devices can be continuously further developed. In the event of any discrepancies between the operating instructions and the device labelling with regard to operating conditions, performance or other device characteristics, the information on the device always takes precedence. 8. The device is not suitable for tropical climates and for operation above 2000 m above sea level.
CAUTION: Connecting signal cables can cause significant interference noise. Make sure that devices connected to the output are muted when plugged in. Otherwise, noise levels may cause damage.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INDOOR INSTALLATION EQUIPMENT
1. Devices for installation applications are designed for continuous operation. 2. Devices for indoor installation are not weather-resistant. 3. Surfaces and plastic parts can age even in installation equipment, e.g. due to UV radiation

INTRODUCTION
Part of the TICA®series, the PRE2 is a compact two channel line and mic mixer. Ideal for smaller installations, mix stereo audio from any media source with a microphone for announcements.
Incredibly easy to use with two simple volume control knobs, with signal presence and clip lights.
The built in audio ducker function automatically reduces the music level when an announcement is being made. Connect a wired remote for simple master volume control. Dip switches let you configure it to work in stereo or mono mode.
Measuring 106 x 44 x 222, its convenient form factor and included mounting plates allow it to be installed discreetly almost anywhere. Alternatively, it fits into ¼ 19 inch rack. Use the optional rack tray to slot up to four TICA®series products alongside each other and build a system to your exact requirements, using minimal rack space.
The PRE2 uses an external 24 V power supply. Terminal block connections for the analogue inputs and outputs make wiring easy.

1 POWER IN Low voltage socket for supplying power to the device. To avoid damage to the device, please use only the original power supply (power supply unit included).

2 STRAIN RELIEF Use the strain relief for the flexible cable of the power supply unit to protect the low voltage socket, the low voltage plug and the cable of the power supply unit from damage and to prevent the plug from being pulled out unintentionally.

3 MIC IN Microphone input with 3-pole terminal block connection (terminal block included). The poles +, – and G are intended for the balanced input signal.

4 GAIN Control for adjusting the pre-amplification of the microphone input signal. Adjust the gain control so that the corresponding clip LED only lights up briefly during signal level peaks. If the clip LED lights up permanently, reduce the gain. If necessary, the signal level can be attenuated by 20 dB (see section 10 SETTINGS)

5 CLIP The red CLIP LED lights up when the input is operated at the distortion threshold. Reduce the signal level using the GAIN control so that the CLIP LED no longer lights up.

6 VOX The VOX control allows you to set an audio threshold for an automatic mute circuit that mutes the line inputs LINE IN 1 and 2 if the microphone input signal reaches the predefined level. When the input level of the microphone channel falls below the set threshold again, the muting of the line inputs is cancelled. Adjust the channel volume using the MIC VOLUME control on the front of the unit.

7 LINE IN 1 + 2 Analogue line inputs with balanced terminal block connections. The +, – and G poles are for the balanced input signal (suitable for unbalanced cabling). Terminal blocks are included in the packaging content.

8 LINE OUT 1 + 2 Analogue line outputs with balanced terminal block connections. The poles +, – and G are intended for the balanced output signal (suitable for unbalanced cabling). Terminal blocks are included in the packaging content.
9 VCA Terminal block connection for connecting an external volume control for continuously variable attenuation of the mix volume at the LINE OUT line output. The mixing ratio of the microphone and line channels is maintained when adjusting the mix volume. The maximum volume (control to the right stop) corresponds to the volume that is reached when no external volume control is connected to the device. Please observe the correct assignment of the terminal block poles (see TERMINAL BLOCK CONNECTIONS in this manual).
10 SETTINGS DIP switch 1 MONO / STEREO: STEREO: A stereo signal applied to LINE IN is output in stereo at the line output LINE OUT 1 / 2. MONO: A stereo signal applied to LINE IN is summed to mono and output at the line output LINE OUT 1 / 2. DIP switch 2 P24V: If a condenser microphone is used, 24 V phantom power must be activated (switch -> ON). Always make sure that the microphone is connected and the channel volume is set to minimum before switching on phantom power. Before disconnecting the microphone from the device, turn the channel volume to minimum and then deactivate phantom power (switch -> OFF). DIP switch 3 -20dB: Switch for attenuating the signal level at the MIC IN microphone input by 20 dB (switch -> ON).

11 STANDBY BUTTON AND POWER SYMBOL Press the button to activate standby mode and again to deactivate standby mode. The power symbol lights up red when standby mode is activated. When standby mode is deactivated and the device is operational, the symbol lights up white.
12 MIC VOLUME Volume control for the microphone channel. Turning to the right increases the volume, turning to the left decreases it.

13 LINE VOLUME Volume control for the line channel. Turning to the right increases the volume, turning to the left decreases it.

14 SIG (SIGNAL) When an audio signal is present at the line output LINE OUT, the signal indicator lights up white.

15 CLIP The CLIP indicator lights up when the LINE OUT output is overloaded. If this occurs, reduce the volume level. Failure to do so may result in distorted sound reproduction and damage to connected equipment.

AIR VENTS To prevent damage to the device, do not cover the ventilation openings on the left and right sides and on the top and bottom of the device and ensure that air can circulate freely. Covering the ventilation openings on the top or bottom of the enclosure when mounting it underneath or on top of a table is not critical, as the cooling provided by the ventilation openings on the remaining sides is sufficient.

UNDER / ON-TABLE MOUNTING
There are two recesses on the top and bottom of the housing, each with two M3 threaded holes, for mounting underneath or on top of the table. Attach the two included mounting plates to the top or bottom using the included M3 countersunk screws. Now the amplifier can be mounted in the desired position (see illustration, mounting screws not included). For tabletop mounting, the four rubber feet must first be removed.
CARE, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
In order to ensure the long-term, proper functioning of the device, it must be regularly cleaned and, if necessary, serviced. The maintenance requirement depends on the intensity of use and the environment in which it is used. We recommend a visual inspection before each operation. Furthermore, we recommend carrying out all the applicable service measures specified below once every 500 operating hours or, in the case of a lower intensity of use, at the latest after one year. Warranty claims may be limited should defects result from inadequate service and maintenance. CARE (CARRIED OUT BY USER)
WARNING! Before carrying out any care and maintenance work, the power supply and, if possible, all device connections must be disconnected.
NOTE! Improper care can lead to impairment or even destruction of the device. 1. Housing surfaces must be cleaned with a clean, damp cloth. Make sure that no moisture can
penetrate the device. 2. Air inlets and outlets must be regularly cleaned of dust and dirt. If compressed air is used,
make sure that damage to the device is prevented (e.g. fans must be blocked in this case). 13

EINLEITUNG
Der PRE 2 gehört zur TICA®-Serie und ist ein kompakter Zweikanal-Line- und Mikrofon-Mixer. Ideal für kleinere Installationen, um Stereo-Audio von jeder Medienquelle mit einem Mikrofon für Durchsagen zu mischen.
Er ist durch das benutzerfreundliche Frontpanel mit zwei Lautstärkereglern sowie Signal- und Clip-LEDs extrem einfach zu bedienen.
Die integrierte Audio-Ducker-Funktion reduziert automatisch die Musiklautstärke, wenn eine Durchsage gemacht wird. Mit der Fernbedienungskonnektivität für Geräte von Drittanbietern können Sie jederzeit die Lautstärke anpassen, selbst wenn das Gerät versteckt ist. Über den Dip-Schalter können Sie zwischen Stereo- oder Monobetrieb wechseln.

1 POWER IN Kleinspannungsbuchse zur Spannungsversorgung des Geräts. Um Schäden am Gerät zu vermeiden, verwenden Sie bitte ausschließlich das Original Netzteil (Netzteil im Lieferumfang enthalten).

2 ZUGENTLASTUNG Nutzen Sie die Zugentlastung für das flexible Kabel des Netzteils, um die Kleinspannungsbuchse, den Kleinspannungsstecker und das Kabel des Netzteils vor Beschädigung zu schützen und ein ungewolltes Herausziehen des Steckers zu vermeiden.

3 MIC IN Mikrofoneingang mit 3-poligem Klemmleistenanschluss (Klemmleiste im Lieferumfang enthalten). Die Pole +, – und G sind für das symmetrische Eingangssignal vorgesehen.

4 GAIN Regler zum Einstellen der Vorverstärkung des anliegenden Mikrofonsignals. Stellen Sie den Gain-Regler so ein, dass die zugehörige Clip-LED nur bei Pegelspitzen des Signals kurz aufleuchtet. Vermeiden Sie permanentes Leuchten der Clip-LED durch Reduzierung der Vorverstärkung. Bei Bedarf kann der Signalpegel um 20 dB reduziert werden (siehe Punkt 10 SETTINGS)

5 CLIP Die rote CLIP-LED leuchtet, wenn der Eingang an der Verzerrungsgrenze betrieben wird. Reduzieren Sie den Signalpegel am Regler GAIN, so dass die CLIP-LED nicht mehr leuchtet.

6 VOX Die VOX-Steuerung ermöglicht es, für den Mikrofonkanal einen Audio-Schwellwert für einen automatischen Mute-Schaltkreis festzulegen, so dass die Line-Eingänge LINE IN 1 und 2 stummgeschaltet werden, sobald das Eingangssignal den vordefinierten Pegel erreicht. Sobald der Eingangspegel des Mikrofonkanals unter den eingestellten Schwellwert fällt, wird die Stummschaltung der Line-Eingänge wieder aufgehoben. Die Kanallautstärke stellen Sie über den Regler MIC VOLUME auf der Vorderseite des Geräts ein.

Das Mischungsverhältnis des Mikrofon- und des Line-Kanals bleibt beim Einstellen der Summenlautstärke erhalten. Die Maximallautstärke (Regler auf Rechtsanschlag) entspricht dabei der Lautstärke, die erreicht wird, wenn kein externer Lautstärkeregler am Gerät angeschlossen ist. Bitte beachten Sie die korrekte Belegung der Klemmleisten-Pole (siehe KLEMMLEISTENANSCHLÜSSE in dieser Anleitung).
10 SETTINGS DIP-Schalter 1 MONO / STEREO : STEREO: Ein an LINE IN anliegendes Stereosignal wird in Stereo am Line-Ausgang LINE OUT 1 / 2 ausgegeben. MONO: Ein an LINE IN anliegendes Stereosignal wird Mono summiert am Line-Ausgang LINE OUT 1 / 2 ausgegeben. DIP-Schalter 2 P24V : Bei Verwendung eines Kondensatormikrofons ist es erforderlich, die 24-V-Phantomspeisung zu aktivieren (Schalter -> ON). Vergewissern Sie sich stets, dass das Mikrofon angeschlossen und die Kanallautstärke auf Minimum eingestellt ist, bevor Sie die Phantomspeisung einschalten. Bevor Sie das Mikrofon wieder vom Gerät trennen, drehen Sie die Kanallautstärke auf Minimum und deaktivieren dann die Phantomspeisung (Schalter -> OFF). DIP-Schalter 3 -20dB : Schalter zum Absenken des Signalpegels im Mikrofoneingang MIC IN um 20 dB (Schalter -> ON).

11 STANDBY-TASTER UND POWER-SYMBOL Betätigen Sie den Taster, um den Standby-Betrieb zu aktivieren und nochmals, um den Standby-Betrieb wieder zu beenden. Das Power-Symbol leuchtet bei aktiviertem Standby-Betrieb rot. Sobald der Standby-Betrieb beendet wird und das Gerät betriebsbereit ist, leuchtet das Symbol weiß.

LÜFTUNGSÖFFNUNGEN Um Schäden am Gerät zu vermeiden, decken Sie die Lüftungsöffnungen auf den Seiten links und rechts und auf der Ober- und Unterseite des Geräts nicht ab und sorgen dafür, dass Luft ungehindert zirkulieren kann. Das Verdecken der Lüftungsöffnungen auf der Ober- oder Unterseite des Gehäuses bei der Unteroder Auftischmontage ist dabei unkritisch, da die Kühlung durch die Lüftungsöffnungen der verbleibenden Seiten ausreichend ist.

UNTER- / AUFTISCHMONTAGE
Für die Unter- bzw. Auftischmontage befinden sich auf der Ober- und Unterseite des Gehäuses je zwei Aussparungen mit wiederum je zwei M3 Gewindebohrungen. Schrauben Sie die beiden beiliegenden Montageplatten mittels der beiliegenden M3 Senkkopfschrauben an die Ober- bzw. Unterseite. Nun kann der Verstärker in der gewünschten Position befestigt werden (siehe Abbildung, Befestigungsschrauben nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten). Bei Auftischmontage müssen die vier Gummifüße zuvor demontiert werden.

PFLEGE, WARTUNG UND REPARATUR
Um die einwandfreie Funktion des Geräts auf Dauer zu gewährleisten, muss es regelmäßig gepflegt und bei Bedarf gewartet werden. Der Pflege- bzw. Wartungsbedarf steht in Abhängigkeit der Nutzungsintensität und -umgebung. Wir empfehlen generell eine Sichtprüfung vor jeder Inbetriebnahme. Weiterhin empfehlen wir alle 500 Betriebsstunden, oder bei geringerer Nutzungsintensität spätestens nach Ablauf eines Jahres alle unten genannten und zutreffenden Pflegemaßnahmen durchzuführen. Bei Mängeln, die auf eine unzureichende Pflege zurückzuführen sind, kann es zu Einschränkungen der Garantieansprüche kommen.

INTRODUCTION
Faisant partie de la série TICA®, le PRE2 est un mélangeur compact deux canaux ligne et micro. Idéal pour les petites installations, il vous permet de mélanger un signal audio stéréo provenant de n’importe quelle source avec un microphone pour annonces vocales.
Il est incroyablement facile à utiliser grâce à ses deux potentiomètres assurant un réglage du volume simple, et possède des indicateurs de présence de signal et d’écrêtage.
La fonction intégrée d’atténuation audio (ducking) réduit automatiquement le niveau de la musique lorsqu’une annonce est faite. Vous pouvez connecter une télécommande filaire pour contrôler le volume sonore général en toute simplicité. 1 POWER IN Embase basse tension pour alimentation de l’appareil. Pour éviter d’endommager l’appareil, n’utilisez que le bloc d’alimentation électrique d’origine (livré).

2 DÉCHARGE DE TRACTION Faites passer le câble souple provenant du bloc d’alimentation par la décharge de traction, afin de protéger l’embase basse tension, la fiche basse tension et le câble contre les dommages et d’éviter que la fiche ne soit débranchée involontairement.

3 MIC IN Entrée microphone sur connecteur Euroblock à 3 points (barrette Euroblock livrée). Les points +, – et G sont affectés au signal de sortie symétrique.

4 GAIN Potentiomètre de réglage de préamplification du signal de l’entrée micro. Réglez le potentiomètre de gain de façon à ce que le témoin d’écrêtage de la voie ne s’allume que brièvement lors des crêtes de niveau du signal. Si la LED d’écrêtage s’allume en permanence, réduisez le gain. Si nécessaire, le niveau du signal peut être atténué de 20 dB (voir section 10 RÉGLAGES)

5 CLIP L’indicateur rouge CLIP indique que l’entrée fonctionne à la limite de la distorsion. Réduisez alors le niveau du signal à l’aide du potentiomètre GAIN, ou directement sur l’appareil de lecture, de manière à ce que le voyant CLIP ne s’allume plus.

6 VOX Le potentiomètre VOX permet de définir la valeur de seuil audio pour le circuit de coupure automatique du son des entrées LINE IN 1 et 2 qui s’active lorsque le signal de l’entrée micro atteint le niveau prédéfini. Lorsque le niveau d’entrée du canal micro retombe en dessous du seuil fixé, la coupure des entrée ligne est annulée. Réglez le volume du canal à l’aide du potentiomètre MIC VOLUME situé sur la face avant de l’appareil.

7 LINE IN 1 + 2 Entrées audio analogiques sur connecteurs symétriques Euroblock. Les pôles +, – et G sont destinés au signal d’entrée symétrique (câblage compatible asymétrique). Les connecteurs Euroblock sont livrés avec l’amplificateur. 8 LINE OUT 1 + 2 Sorties audio analogiques sur connecteurs symétriques Euroblock. Les points +, – et G sont affectés au signal de sortie symétrique (compatible asymétrique). Les barrettes Euroblock sont livrées avec le préamplificateur. 9 VCA Connecteur Euroblock pour contrôle de volume externe assurant une atténuation variable en continu du volume de mixage disponible sur la sortie ligne LINE OUT. Le dosage entre le signal du microphone et le signal au niveau ligne ne change pas lorsque vous réglez le volume de mixage. Le volume maximum (potentiomètre tourné à fond à droite) correspond au volume atteint lorsqu’aucun contrôle de volume externe n’est connecté à l’appareil. Veuillez respecter l’affectation correcte des points du connecteur Euroblock (voir CONNEXIONS EUROBLOCK (BORNIER) dans ce manuel). 10 SÉLECTEURS SETTINGS Sélecteur DIP 1 MONO / STEREO : STEREO : Le signal stéréo arrivant sur les connecteurs LINE IN est renvoyé en stéréo sur la sortie ligne LINE OUT 1 / 2. MONO : Le signal stéréo arrivant sur les connecteurs LINE IN est sommé en mono avant renvoi sur la sortie ligne LINE OUT 1 / 2. Sélecteur DIP 2 P24V : En cas d’utilisation d’un microphone statique (à condensateur), l’alimentation fantôme 24 V doit être activée (interrupteur -> ON). Vérifiez toujours que le microphone est connecté et que le volume de son canal est réglé au minimum avant d’activer l’alimentation fantôme. Avant de débrancher le microphone de l’appareil, réglez le volume de son canal au minimum puis désactivez l’alimentation fantôme (sélecteur -> OFF). Sélecteur DIP 3 -20dB : Ce sélecteur permet d’atténuer de 20 dB le niveau du signal arrivant sur l’entrée microphone MIC IN (sélecteur -> ON).

11 BOUTON DE VEILLE ET SYMBOLE D’ALIMENTATION Appuyez sur ce bouton pour activer le mode veille et de nouveau pour quitter le mode veille. Le symbole d’alimentation s’allume en rouge lorsque le mode veille est activé. Lorsque le mode veille est désactivé et que l’appareil est opérationnel, le symbole s’allume en blanc.
12 MIC VOLUME Potentiomètre de réglage du volume pour le canal du microphone. Tourner vers la droite augmente le volume, tourner vers la gauche le diminue.
13 LINE VOLUME Potentiomètre de réglage du volume pour le canal ligne. Tourner vers la droite augmente le volume, tourner vers la gauche le diminue.
14 SIG (SIGNAL) Dès qu’un signal audio est présent sur la sortie ligne LINE OUT, l’indicateur SIG s’allume en blanc.
15 CLIP L’indicateur CLIP s’allume lors d’une surcharge (niveau excessif) sur la sortie LINE OUT. Dans ce cas, baissez le volume. Le non-respect de cette consigne peut entraîner une reproduction sonore déformée et endommager le système de sonorisation.
OUVERTURES DE VENTILATION Pour éviter d’endommager l’appareil, ne couvrez pas les ouvertures de ventilation situées sur les côtés gauche et droit et sur le dessus et le dessous de l’appareil, et veillez à ce que l’air puisse circuler librement. Il n’est pas gênant de couvrir les ouvertures de ventilation situées sur le dessus ou le dessous du boîtier lorsque celui-ci est monté sous ou sur une table, car le refroidissement assuré par les ouvertures de ventilation situées sur les autres côtés est suffisant.

MONTAGE SOUS / SUR TABLE
Deux évidements sur le haut et le bas du boîtier, munis chacun de deux trous filetés M3, sont prévus pour un montage sous ou sur une table. Vissez les deux plaques de montage fournies sur le côté supérieur ou inférieur à l’aide des vis à tête fraisée M3 fournies. L’amplificateur peut alors être fixé dans la position souhaitée (voir illustration, vis de fixation non livrées). Pour un montage sur table, les quatre pieds en caoutchouc doivent être retirés au préalable.
ENTRETIEN, MAINTENANCE ET RÉPARATION
Afin de garantir son bon fonctionnement à long terme, l’appareil doit être régulièrement nettoyé et, si nécessaire, passer en maintenance. La fréquence de la maintenance dépend de l’intensité de l’utilisation et de l’environnement dans lequel l’appareil est utilisé. Nous vous recommandons de procéder à une inspection visuelle avant chaque utilisation. En outre, nous recommandons d’effectuer toutes les mesures de maintenance applicables spécifiées ci-dessous une fois toutes les 500 heures de fonctionnement ou, en cas d’intensité d’utilisation moindre, au plus tard après un an. INTRODUCCIÓN
El PRE2, que forma parte de la serie TICA®, es un mezclador compacto de dos canales de línea y uno de micrófono. Ideal para instalaciones pequeñas, permite mezclar audio estéreo de cualquier fuente multimedia con un micrófono para avisos.
Es muy fácil de utilizar gracias a sus dos sencillos mandos de control de volumen, junto con los indicadores de señal y de recorte.
La función de atenuación de audio integrada reduce automáticamente el nivel de la música de la entrada de línea estéreo cuando se emite un aviso. Para controlar fácilmente el volumen principal, conecta un control remoto con cable. Los microinterruptores DIP permiten configurar el PRE2 para que funcione en modo estéreo o mono.

1 POWER IN Toma de baja tensión para suministrar corriente al equipo. Para evitar que se dañe el equipo, utilice solo la fuente de alimentación original suministrada con el equipo.

2 SUJETACABLES Utilice el sujetacables para el cable flexible de la fuente de alimentación, para así proteger la toma de baja tensión del equipo, el conector de alimentación y el cable de la fuente de alimentación, así como para evitar que el conector se suelte accidentalmente.

MONTAJE BAJO/SOBRE LA MESA
En la parte superior e inferior de la carcasa hay dos huecos, cada uno con dos orificios roscados M3, para montar el equipo debajo o encima de una mesa. Atornille las dos placas de montaje suministradas a la parte superior o inferior utilizando los tornillos avellanados M3 también suministrados. Ahora puede fijar el equipo en la posición deseada (ver la siguiente imagen; tornillos de fijación no suministrados). Para el montaje sobre una mesa, es necesario retirar antes los cuatro pies de goma.
