Cleaning of the power supply:
Pull out the dust filter from the back side of the power supply. Clean it properly and push the dust filter back into the housing.
DANGER: The dust filter must not carry ANY MOISTURE when being pushed back into the housing. Please use dry cleaning wipe or compressed air.
Installation
- Make sure that the power supply’s power cable is not connected yet.
- Follow the user manual of your computer case and install the power supply with the provided screws.
- Connect the 24-pin cable (20+4 pins) to your mainboard. Detach the 4-pin part if your mainboard has a 20-pin connector socket. Do not use the detached 4-pin part elsewhere.
- Connect the 8-pin cable (4+4 pins) to your mainboard. Detach one 4-pin part if your mainboard has a 4-pin connector socket. Do not use the detached 4-pin part elsewhere.
WARNING: Never use detached connector parts elsewhere than in their originally intended place, otherwise it can cause serious damage to your computer. - Connect the PCIe cables (6+2 pins) to your graphic card if required.
- Connect the SATA cables to peripherals like hard disk drives, optical drives or fan controllers.
Connect the PATA cables to case fans or older peripherals like hard disk drives and optical drives.
Connect the FDD cable to a floppy drive, a card reader or any other peripheral that needs a small 4 pin connector. - Make sure all cables are tightly connected.
- Insert the power cable into the connector socket on the back side of the housing and into a grounded power outlet.
- Turn the power supply on by pushing the toggle switch on the back side of the housing to the „ON” position.
