To prevent scratching any components, carefully remove each
assembly from the carton and unwrap the packing materials. Set the
carton aside for storage. To avoid damaging the scale parts when
unpacking, do not use a box cutter, knife, scissors, or any sharp
object to open the protective inner packaging.

Assembly Steps:

Grasp the load cell cable protruding from the bottom of the
platform and feed it through the protective metal shield.
Plug the load cell cable into the load cell port located on the
bottom of the platform.

Position the center handrail onto the left and right handrail
supports on the scale platform. Be sure not to pinch the cable.
Place the four M8 washers (Part E) onto the four M8 1.25 x 20mm
bolts (Part B) and insert into the mounting holes on the handrails
and into the handrail support. Lightly tighten using the included
5mm Allen wrench. Do not over-tighten.

CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS
INTENDED USE This Health o meter® Professional platform scale is intended to be used in a professional medical environment by trained medical staff. This product was designed to weigh patients who are safely positioned and standing on the platform. If a height rod is attached to the scale, the intended use of the height rod is to measure patient height. Do not modify the product or use it for anything other than its intended purpose.
To prevent patient/caregiver injury or damage to your scale, please follow the instructions in this user manual very carefully.
· Do not exceed the weight capacity specified for this scale. · For accurate weighing, this scale must be placed on a flat, stable surface. · For accurate weighing, verify before each use the proper operation according to the procedure
described in this manual. · Do not use in the presence of flammable or explosive materials. · If the scale becomes damaged, it should not be operated until properly serviced. · Do not wheel or pull the scale down stairs, doing so may damage internal parts. · Ensure that the AC adapter and scale do not come in contact with liquids, excessive temperature,
or excessive humidity.
Patient/caregiver safety · This scale is designed for static weighing of patients only. No scale should be used for patient
transfer. · To prevent patient injury, the patient must be attended throughout the entire weighing event.
Caregivers should ensure that the patient is stable and provide support as needed when getting onto and off of the scale. · Patient should wear socks or other form of lightweight foot covering during weighing event.
When operating the scale with the AC adapter: · Operate this scale exclusively with the AC adapter that is provided (ADPT30). Use of an
unspecified adapter will void the warranty, and can pose a serious safety hazard. · Prior to using this scale, inspect the AC adapter cord for cracking / fraying, or for broken / bent
plug prongs. · Prior to using this scale, ensure that the AC adapter is plugged into an outlet with the rated
voltage appropriate for operation. · Ensure that the AC adapter outlet is wired to a circuit breaker or other protected power source. · Unplug the AC adapter, and carefully store both the adapter and adapter cord before moving the
scale. · Operating this scale at voltages and frequencies other than specified can damage the equipment
and will void the warranty.
When operating the scale with batteries: · If the scale’s battery icon indicates that the batteries are low replace the batteries or switch to the
AC adapter as soon as possible. · When replacing / inserting batteries, be sure to use all new batteries.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the EMC limits for the Medical Device Standards EN 60601-1-2. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a typical medical installation. The equipment generates, uses and may radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with these instructions, may cause harmful interference to other devices in the vicinity. There is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference with other devices, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to eliminate the interference by one or more of the following measures: · Reorient or relocate the receiving device. · Increase the separation between the equipment. · Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the other device(s) is

General This scale uses highly sophisticated microprocessor technology. Each precision scale is designed to provide accurate, reliable and repeatable weight measurements. This scale uses motion-sensing weighing technology to determine the actual weight of a moving patient. The 1100KL displays weight in pounds (lb) or kilograms (kg). Refer to Page 10 to learn more about configuring the weight measuring unit setting. The 1100KG displays weight in kilograms only. Before Assembly

Carefully inspect the carton for shipping damage before unpacking. If damage is found, contact your shipper or a Health o meter® Professional representative immediately at 1-800-815-6615. Claims must be filed with the shipper as soon as possible after receipt of the package. The following information details what you will find inside the main carton as you unpack the parts for assembly.

Health o meter® Professional Scales recommends that assembly be performed by two people. Warning: Do not drop scale, as this can permanently damage the load cells. Caution: Do not insert the batteries into the display head until it is mounted onto the scale. Note: This scale has been factory calibrated, and does not require calibration prior to use. Note: Actual product color may vary from the images shown. 1. Remove the scale platform/base from
the carton and place on a flat, level, and dry surface with the Health o meter Professional logo facing you. Locate the center handrail and the load cell cable protruding from the bottom of the right side. Feed the load cell cable into the handrail support on the right side of the scale platform. Feed the cable through the support and out through the hole behind the wheel on the underside of the platform. Ensure that the cable is fed through the hole towards the top of the wheel, not through the channel next to wheel.
2. Grasp the load cell cable protruding from the bottom of the platform and feed it through the protective metal shield.
3. Plug the load cell cable into the load cell port located on the bottom of the platform.
4. Position the center handrail onto the left and right handrail supports on the scale platform. Be sure not to pinch the cable. Place the four M8 washers (Part E) onto the four M8 1.25 x 20mm bolts (Part B) and insert into the mounting holes on the handrails and into the handrail support. Lightly tighten using the included 5mm Allen wrench. Do not over-tighten.

5. Align the left and right side handrails with the mounting holes in the center handrail. Insert the four M10 1.5 x 40mm bolts (Part A) through the side handrails into the mounting holes in the center handrail. Lightly tighten using the 8mm Allen wrench.

6. Facing the scale, pull the side handrails toward you to tip the scale and gently place it face down on the floor. Thread the four feet into the underside of the platform. Each foot should be completely hand tightened then back the feet out 1½ full turns. This allows for proper load cell operation.

Ensure that the spacer spring is on the bolt of the foot before inserting into
the platform.

7. Carefully tilt the scale back to an upright position on the floor. Warning: Do not drop scale, as this can permanently damage the load cells. Adjust the feet to level the scale. Be certain that the feet are not completely tightened into the platform. Pull the excess cable through the top of the center handrail.
8. Obtain the display head and align the tab slots on the back of the display head with the tabs on the silver display support. Slide the slots on the display head onto the tabs in the bracket.

9. Align the four holes on the back of the display head with the four mounting holes on the silver display support. Using the four included M4 0.7 x 10mm screws (Part B), fasten the display head onto the display support using a Phillips head screwdriver to tighten the screws.
10. Obtain the plastic bracket cover. Clip the load cell cable into the divot in the middle of the cover and align the cover over the silver display support. Obtain the two remaining M4 0.7 x 10mm screws (Part C). Using a Phillips screwdriver, attach the bracket cover over the silver display bracket.
11. Plug the load cell cable into the load cell port on the rear of the display head.
12. Attach the two display support covers (Part F) on the front and back of the scale as shown. Scale assembly is complete. See Powering the Scale on page 9 for battery/AC adapter instructions. If powering the scale via AC adapter, see the next step for attaching the adapter holder.
13. Optional Step For powering the scale via AC power adapter. Attach the adapter holder to the handrail using the two included sheet metal screws (Part D). Use a Phillips head screwdriver to tighten the screws.

POWERING THE SCALE
Powering the Scale Plug the AC adapter into the power adapter jack (the jack is located on the rear of the display head), then plug the scale’s AC adapter into the power source. Warning: To avoid a safety hazard, do not use an unspecified AC adapter. Only use the Health o meter® Professional AC adapter model ADPT30 designed for this scale.
Power Adapter Jack
For battery operation, see Battery Installation below. Battery Installation 1. If connected, unplug the AC adapter from
the power source. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the battery cover on the side of the display head by unscrewing the battery cover screw.
2. Remove the battery pack from the display head. Replace or install fresh batteries, making sure to install them in the proper direction. Health o meter® Professional recommends using an alkaline battery rated for 130°F (54°C) operation. Do not use Zinc-Carbon batteries.
3. Re-insert the battery pack into the display head, ensuring the end with the silver contacts is inserted facing the inside of the display. Re-attach the battery cover to the display head by replacing the battery cover screw.
Warning: If the scale will not be used for some time, remove the batteries to avoid a safety hazard. Disposal of batteries must be performed in accordance with the prevailing national, regional or local regulations that apply to you.

SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS

The scale must be powered on before performing any of the following operations. Press to turn on the scale.

Unit of Measure Configuration / Unit Lock
(This feature is not available on KG models)
The weight measuring unit (pounds/LB or kilograms/KG) can be changed by pressing Unit . Follow this procedure to lock the weight measuring unit into LB or KG only.

1. Press Help to access the Help menu options.

2. While in the Help menu, press

to select “Set Options”.

Press

to advance to the next menu.

3. “Units Lock” is the first setting listed in the “Set Options” sub-

menu. With “Units Lock” highlighted in red, press

change the “Units Lock” option. Choose “Unlocked”, “LBS

Locked”, or “KG Locked”.

Note: You must press Enter to save your selection.

Note: To permanently lock the weight measuring unit, see the Everlock® section on page 13.
Enabling Unit View with Unit of Measure Locked
(This feature is not available on KG models or models with a date code with the last two digits lower than 18)
If the scale is locked per the instructions above, users can still view the alternate weight measuring unit by enabling the “Unit View” option. Enabling the “Unit View” option allows the user to press the Unit button to briefly display the weight in the alternate weight measuring unit. After releasing the Unit button the display will return to the locked weight measuring unit. The “Unit View” default setting is “Disable”. Follow this procedure to enable “Unit View” when the weight measuring unit is locked.
Note: If Everlock® is engaged this feature is not available and the setting will show as “Everlocked”.

Activating/Deactivating AC Auto Off When powering the scale via the AC adapter, the display can be set to power off after a period of inactivity. Follow this procedure to set the preferred option. Note: When powering the scale via batteries, the scale will automatically power off after a period of inactivity. See the next section to set the preferred time of inactivity before power off. 1. Press Help to access the Help menu options.

Setting Auto Zero Option When a scale is set to zero, it creates a reference point for weights that are placed on it. There are two approaches to how this can take place. This option allows the user to select whether the scale will re-set itself to ZERO each time it is powered up or whether it will use the zero reading from the last time it was zeroed. · “Enable” means the scale will zero itself when it is powered on and this may take a few seconds.
After each use, the scale will clear the weight of the patient and set itself back to the initial ZERO level it found on start-up. Health o meter® Professional recommends keeping this setting as Enable. Note: Hitting a key to wake the scale from sleep mode will not prompt the scale to zero. · “Disable” means the scale does not attempt to find a zero when powered on, rather it will use the last zero setting it had from its most recent use. There will be no delay in using the scale if the Auto Zero is disabled. Health o meter® Professional recommends that if the Disable option is selected, users should manually zero the scale before each weight measurement by pressing Zero . Users will see dashes appear on the screen as the scale is finding zero.

EVERLOCK® INSTRUCTIONS
Everlock®
(This feature is not available on KG models or models with a date code with the last two digits lower than 18)
The Everlock® feature allows the scale to be permanently locked in KG (metric) or LB (imperial) units. When activating this feature, the Unit button will become disabled. This lock is permanent and can only be reversed at the factory. This procedure engages Everlock® and will permanently lock the scale into LB or KG. Note: This feature is standard on models with a date code with the last two digits of 18 or higher. Warning: This lock is permanent and can only be reversed at the factory. If you need to change the units on your scale after Everlock® has been engaged, contact Health o meter® Professional Scales Customer Service at 1-800-815-6615.

Hold/ Release

Zeroes the scale prior to a weighing. Also used as a screen navigation key to exit a display menu. Holds the weight value on the display until the button is pressed again to clear the value.

BMI

Prompts entry of height data to calculate patient’s Body Mass Index (BMI).

Recall Tare Unit Reweigh

Recalls the previous weight. TARE-Deducts the weight of an object on the platform. PRETARE-When held for 3 seconds, prompts entry of a weight value to be deducted from the weight on the platform. Also releases tare weight (returns display to zero). Toggles between pounds and kilograms. If weight measuring unit is locked and Unit View setting is enabled, press and hold Unit button to briefly display the alternate weight measuring unit. Note: The Unit button is disabled on KG models or on KL models with Everlock® engaged or with the “Unit View” setting disabled. Allows repeated weighing of the patient without stepping off the scale.

Weighing a Patient 1. Make sure there is nothing on the weighing platform and the
display shows “0.0”.
2. Ask the patient to step on the scale. The scale will begin to display the patient’s weight and the word “PROCESSING”. Depending on the movement of the patient on the scale, it may take several seconds for the scale to lock onto the weight. The display will show the patient’s weight and the word “LOCKED” when measuring is completed. Press BMI for height mode.
Note: The scale will not lock on a weight less than 5 lb / 2.27 kg.

Hold/
3. The weight may be held on the display by pressing Release .

The scale will continue to display the patient’s weight after

they step off the scale and will remain on the display until

released or the scale is powered off. To release, press

4. To reweigh the patient without having them step off of the scale, press Reweigh .

5. To see the patient’s weight in another unit of measurement, press and hold down Unit . If the scale is in LB mode, it will convert the weight to KG. with the “Unit View” setting disabled.

BMI Function With Digital Height Measurement
Note: Digital height measurement is available with the optional digital height rod purchased separately. The measuring range for digital height data is 3 ft 11.2 in 6 ft 7.5 in / 120 cm 202 cm.
1. Make sure there is nothing on the weighing platform and the display shows “0.0”.
2. Ask the patient to step on the scale. The scale will begin to display the patient’s weight and will lock on the patient’s weight when completed. Depending on the movement of the patient on the scale, it may take several seconds for the scale to lock onto the weight.

3. After obtaining the patient’s weight, and with the patient remaining on the scale, press BMI .

4. A. If the height rod is set at its home position the display will read 3 ft 11.2 inches (when weighing in pounds) or 120 cm (when weighing in kilograms). Move to step 5.

B. If the height rod is not set at its home position, the display will instruct the user to reset the height rod to its home position or prompt the user to press an arrow key to enter height manually. Push the height rod down to its home position. When at home position the display will read 3 ft 11.2 inches (when weighing in pounds) or 120 cm (when weighing in kilograms). Move to step 5. Note: Resetting the height rod to the home position is only needed once after a power up. There is no need to reset for each height measurement if the scale has remained on.

5. With the headpiece folded down, slide the headpiece up to the estimated height of the patient. Then raise the headpiece into its horizontal position. Ensure that the patient’s posture is upright, and that the patient’s head is straight and level. Slide the headpiece down until it rests on the patient’s head. The display will read the patient’s height.

6. Once the height is determined, press Enter .

7. The display will show the patient’s BMI.

The BMI summary screen will display for approximately 10

seconds or until

Zero (Clear)

is pressed to return to normal weighing

mode. After exiting from the BMI summary screen if the patient

is still on the scale the screen will display the weight

measurement again.

Tare Function When using this scale, the weight of an object, such as a portable oxygen tank, can be subtracted from the total weight in order to determine the weight of the patient alone. The Tare Function automatically performs this subtraction. The scale allows a tared weight to be entered manually by using the keypad, or automatically, as outlined in this section.
Weighing a Patient and Taring an Unknown Weight 1. Wait until “0.0” appears on the display.
2. Place the object to be tared on the scale. The display will show the object’s weight. The minimum weight that can be tared is 5 lb / 2.27 kg. Note: The scale must lock onto a weight before it can be tared.
3. With the object remaining on the scale, press Tare . The scale will zero, and the word “TARE” will appear at the bottom center of the display along with the tared weight. Remove the object from the scale.
4. Place the patient and the object back on the scale. The scale will automatically deduct the tared weight of the object from the gross weight of the patient and object together. The display will show the patient’s weight.
5. With no weight on the scale, the display will show the tare value as a negative amount. The tare value will remain on the display until changed, cleared, or until the scale is powered off. Note: When in Tare mode the screen will not show a prompt to enter height mode.
Hold/
6. The weight may be held on the display by pressing Release . The scale will continue to display the patient’s weight after they step off the scale and will remain on the display until released or the scale is powered off. To release, press Hold/ .
Release
7. To reweigh the patient without removing them from the scale, press Reweigh .
8. To see the patient’s weight in another unit of measurement, press and hold down Unit . If the scale is in LB mode, it will convert the weight to KG. If the scale is in KG mode, it will convert the weight to LB. Note: This function is not available on KG models or on KL models with Everlock® engaged or with the “Unit View” setting disabled.
9. To remove the Tare, press Tare . The word “TARE” will disappear from the bottom of the display, and the tare value will be cleared from the display. The scale will resume normal operation.

Pre-Tare can be performed within the following weight limits: 0.2 lb – 500 lb / 0.1 kg 226 kg) 1. Wait until “0.0” appears on the display.

2. Press and hold Tare for approximately 3 seconds. The display will change and prompt entry of the weight value to be tared. Use the arrow keys to enter the weight to be tared. Press Enter to save the tare value.
3. The scale will zero and the tare value will show as a negative weight on the display. The word “TARE” will also appear at the bottom center of the display along with the tare value.
4. Place the patient on the scale. The scale will automatically deduct the tare value from the weight of the patient. The display will show the patient’s weight. Note: When in Tare mode the screen will not show a prompt to enter height mode.

Parent/Child Function The Parent/Child function on Health o meter® Professional scales provides the convenience of weighing a small child or infant while being held by a parent. Follow these simple steps to subtract the parent’s weight from the total so only the child’s weight is displayed. 1. Wait until “0.0” appears on the display.
2. Ask the parent to step onto the scale without the child. The display will show a value for the parent’s weight.
3. With the parent remaining on the scale press Tare .. The scale will zero, and the word “TARE” will appear at the bottom center of the display along with the parent’s tared weight.
4. Carefully place the child into the parent’s arms. The scale will automatically deduct the weight of the parent and only display the child’s weight. Note: When in Tare mode the screen will not show a prompt to enter height mode.
Note: For an alternate method, after taring the parent’s weight in step 3, have the parent step off of the scale. With no weight on the scale, the display will show the tare value as a negative amount. Have the parent to step back onto the scale while holding the child. The scale will automatically deduct the weight of the parent and only display the child’s weight.
5. The tared value will remain on the display until changed, cleared, or until the scale is powered off. To remove the Tare, press Tare . The word “TARE” will disappear from the bottom of the display, and the tare value will be cleared from the display. The scale will resume normal operation.

Maintenance The following pages provide instructions for maintenance, cleaning, calibration, and troubleshooting for your scale. Maintenance operations other than those described in this manual should be performed by qualified service personnel. Caution: Before first use, or after long periods of non-use, check the scale for proper operation and function. If the scale does not operate correctly, contact Customer Service at 800-815-6615. 1. Check the overall appearance of the scale for obvious damage, wear, and tear. 2. Inspect the AC adapter cord for cracking, fraying, and for broken/bent prongs. Cleaning and Disinfecting Proper care and cleaning is essential to ensure a long life of accurate and effective weighing. Caution: Disconnect the scale from the AC adapter power source prior to cleaning the unit. 1. Health o meter® Professional recommends using one of the following solutions on a soft cloth or
disposable wipe: mild soap and water solution 70% isopropyl alcohol solution with 1-5% hydrogen peroxide concentration After cleaning/disinfecting, wipe with a cloth dampened with water and then with a clean dry cloth. To avoid residue build-up or damp surfaces, ensure the screen and scale parts are completely dry after cleaning. 2. Never use rough or abrasive materials to clean the scale, as these will damage the scale’s finish. 3. Do not submerge the scale in water or any other liquid. 4. Do not pour or spray fluids directly on the scale. Replacement Parts Parts may be available if a piece of the scale needs to be replaced. CALIBRATION
This scale has been factory calibrated, and does not require calibration prior to use. There are no requirements for calibration in the field; users should adhere to their institution’s calibration policies. Calibration of your scale can be performed using calibrated kilogram (kg) or pound (lb) weight standards. Minimum calibration is 200 lb / 100 kg. Maximum calibration weight is 1000 lb / 454 kg. The required calibration standard will be the Unit of Measure (UOM) for which the scale is configured. KG models can only be calibrated in kilograms. If Everlock® is engaged the scale can only be calibrated in the locked unit of measure. Note: Only weights certified and traceable to national standards should be used for calibration. Warning: Always ensure that the scale is returned to the correct UOM after scale calibration.

1. Press Help to access the Help menu options.

2. While in the Help menu, press

to select “Calibrate”.

to advance to the next step.

3. The display will prompt for entry of the password. Press the following keys in this sequence to proceed with the calibration procedure.

4. The display will show a warning. If prepared and

qualified to perform the calibration procedure,

5. Follow the screen prompt and ensure the scale is on a level surface with no weight on the platform.

6. The display will show “Zeroing Scale” as it calculates the zero value. Do not touch the scale during the zeroing process.

CALIBRATION (CONT)
7. When the zeroing process is complete the display will prompt for entry of the calibration weight. Minimum calibration is 200 lb / 100 kg. Maximum calibration weight is 1000 lb / 454 kg. Calibration weight can be adjusted in 10 lb or 10 kg increments. Press Enter when the calibration weight is set.
8. The display will prompt for the calibration weights to be placed on the platform. Press Enter after calibration weights are placed on the platform.
9. The display will show “Calibrating” during the calibration process.
10. If calibration is successful, the display will show “Calibration Complete” with a 4 digit calibration count.
11. If calibration is unsuccessful, the display will show an error message that the entered calibration weight and the certified weights do not match. The display will then revert back to the set calibration weight screen for entry of calibration weight.

Before contacting service personnel, refer to the following instructions to check and to correct any failures. For further assistance, contact Health o meter® Professional Scales Technical Support at 1-800-638-3722.

What does the Warranty Cover?
This Health o meter® Professional scale is warranted from date of purchase against defects of materials or in workmanship for a period of two (2) years. If product fails to function properly, return the product, freight prepaid and properly packed to Pelstar®, LLC (see “To Get Warranty Service”, below, for instructions). If the manufacturer determines that a defect of material or in workmanship exists, the customer’s sole remedy will be replacement of the scale at no charge. Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is no longer available, replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value. All replaced parts are covered only for the original warranty period.
Who is Covered?
The original purchaser of the product must have proof of purchase to receive warranty service. Please save your invoice or receipt. Pelstar® dealers or retail stores selling Pelstar® products do not have the right to alter, or modify or any way change the terms and conditions of this warranty.
What is Excluded?
Your warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions, abuse including tampering, damage in transit, or unauthorized repair or alternations. Further, the warranty does not cover natural disasters, such as fire, flood, hurricanes and tornadoes. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from country to country, state to state, province to province or jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
To get Warranty Service make sure you keep your sales receipt or document showing proof of purchase. Para evitar lesiones a pacientes y daños a su báscula, por favor siga muy atentamente las siguientes instrucciones.
· No exceda la capacidad de peso especificada para esta báscula. · Para garantizar un pesaje preciso, coloque esta báscula en una superficie plana y estable. · Para garantizar un pesaje preciso, verifique el correcto funcionamiento de la báscula antes de cada uso,

1. Saque la plataforma/base de la báscula de la caja y colóquela en una superficie plana, nivelada y seca con el logotipo de Health o meter Professional mirando hacia usted. 2. Ubique el barandal central y el cable de la célula de carga que sobresale de la parte inferior del lado derecho. Introduzca el cable de la célula de carga en el soporte del barandal del lado derecho de la plataforma de la báscula. Pase el cable por el soporte y sáquelo por el orificio situado detrás de la rueda en la parte inferior de la plataforma. Asegúrese de que el cable pase por el orificio hacia la parte superior de la rueda y no por el canal junto a la rueda.
2. Tome el cable de la célula de carga que sobresale de la parte inferior de la plataforma y páselo por el escudo metálico de protección.
3. Conecte el cable de la célula de carga en el puerto de la célula de carga situado en la parte inferior de la plataforma.
4. Coloque el barandal central en los soportes de los barandales izquierdo y derecho de la plataforma de la báscula. Asegúrese de no pellizcar el cable. Coloque las cuatro arandelas M8 (parte E) en los cuatro tornillos M8 de 1.25 x 20 mm (parte B) e insértelos en los orificios de sujeción de los pasamanos y en el soporte del pasamanos. Apriete ligeramente con la llave Allen de 5mm incluida. No apriete demasiado.

5. Alinee los barandales laterales izquierdo y derecho con los orificios de instalación del pasamanos central. 2. Inserte los cuatro tornillos M10 de 1.5 x 40 mm (parte A) a través de los pasamanos laterales en los orificios de instalación del pasamanos central. Apriete ligeramente con la llave Allen de 8 mm.

6. De cara a la báscula, tire de los barandales laterales hacia usted para inclinar la báscula y colocarla suavemente boca abajo en el suelo. Enrosque las cuatro patas en la parte inferior de la plataforma. Cada pata debe estar completamente apretada con la mano y, a continuación, afloje las patas 1 ½ vueltas completas. 9. Alinee los cuatro orificios de la parte posterior de la pantalla con los cuatro orificios de montaje del soporte plateado de la pantalla. Utilizando los cuatro tornillos M4 de 0.7 x 10 mm incluidos (Parte B), fije el la pantalla en el soporte utilizando un desarmador de cruz para apretar los tornillos.
10. Tome la cubierta de plástico del soporte. Enganche el cable de la célula de carga en la ranura del centro de la cubierta y alinee la cubierta sobre el soporte plateado de la pantalla. Tome los dos tornillos M4 de 0.7 x 10mm restantes (Parte C). Con un desarmador de cruz, fije la cubierta del soporte sobre el soporte plateado de la pantalla.
11. Conecte el cable de la célula de carga en el puerto de la célula de carga en la parte trasera de la pantalla.
12. Coloque las dos tapas de soporte de la pantalla (Parte F) en la parte delantera y trasera de la báscula como se muestra en la imagen. El armado de la báscula está completo. Consulte las instrucciones sobre las pilas o el adaptador de CA en la sección de Alimentación de la báscula en la página 10. ENCENDIDO DE LA BÁSCULA
Encender la báscula Conecte el adaptador de CA en el conector del adaptador de corriente (el conector está ubicado en la parte trasera de la pantalla) y conecte el adaptador de CA de la báscula a la fuente de alimentación. Precaución: A fin de evitar riesgos de seguridad, evite usar un adaptador de CA no especificado. Use únicamente el adaptador de CA Health o meter® Professional modelo ADPT30 diseñado para esta báscula.

Instalar las baterías 1. En caso de que el adaptador de CA esté

3. Reinserte el paquete de baterías en la pantalla, asegurándose de insertar el extremo con los contactos plateados hacia el interior de la pantalla. Vuelva a fijar la cubierta en la pantalla apretando el tornillo.

Precaución: En caso de que no planee usar la báscula por un largo periodo de tiempo, retire las baterías para evitar riesgos de seguridad. Las baterías deben desecharse de conformidad con las normas nacionales, regionales o locales correspondientes.

Si ha fijado la unidad de medida conforme a las instrucciones anteriores, los usuarios podrán ver la unidad alternativa de medición de peso activando la función de “Unit View”. Establecer la opción de cero automático

Al colocar la báscula en cero, esta crea un punto de referencia para pesos colocados sobre la misma. Existen

dos maneras en que esta acción puede llevarse a cabo. Esta opción permite al usuario seleccionar si la

báscula se reajustará a CERO cada vez que se encienda o si deberá usar la lectura de cero de la última vez

que se colocó en cero.

· “Activar” significa que la báscula se colocará en cero al encenderse, lo que tardará unos cuantos segundos. Después de cada uso, la báscula borrará el peso del paciente y se reestablecerá al nivel de CERO inicial

que encontró al encenderse. Health o meter® Professional le recomienda mantener esta función en

Activar. Nota: El presionar una tecla báscula del modo de inactividad no hará que la báscula se coloque

en cero.

· “Desactivar” significa que la báscula no intentará encontrar un cero al encenderse, sino que usará la

configuración de cero de su uso mas reciente. No habrá ningún retraso en el uso de la báscula si la

función de cero automático se encuentra deshabilitada. Health o meter® Professional recomienda que al

seleccionar la opción de Desactivar, los usuarios deberán colocar la báscula en cero de manera manual

antes de cada pesaje presionando Zero . Los usuarios verán aparecer guiones en la pantalla mientras

la pantalla encuentra el cero.

Everlock® La función Everlock® permite fijar la báscula permanentemente en unidades de KG (métricas) o LB (imperiales). Al activar esta función, el botón de Unidad quedará deshabilitado. Esta forma de fijación de unidades es permanente y solo puede revertirse en la fábrica.
El siguiente procedimiento activará la función Everlock® y fijará la báscula en LB o KG de forma permanente.

Advertencia: Esta forma de fijación de unidades es permanente y solo puede revertirse en la fábrica. Si necesita cambiar las unidades de su báscula tras activar Everlock® Contacte a Servicio al Cliente de las básculas Health o meter® Professional llamando al número 1-800-815-6615.

También libera el peso de tara (regresa el número en pantalla a cero). Cambia la unidad de peso entre libras y kilogramos. Si la unidad de medida se encuentra fijada y la función de vista de unidad habilitada, mantenga presionado el botón de Unidad para mostrar brevemente la unidad de medida alternativa. Nota: El botón de Unidad está deshabilitado en modelos KG o KL con la función Everlock® activada o con la configuración “Unit View” deshabilitada. Permite pesar al paciente repetidamente sin bajarse de la báscula.

Función de IMC con medición digital de estatura
Nota: La medición digital de estatura está disponible con el tallímetro digital opcional que se adquiere por separado. El rango de medición para los datos de estatura digital es de 3 pies 11.2 pulgadas 6 pies 7.5 pulgadas / 120 cm 202 cm.
1. Asegúrese de que no haya nada sobre la plataforma de pesaje y que la pantalla muestre “0.0”.
2. Pida al paciente que se suba a la báscula. La báscula comenzará a mostrar el peso del paciente y se fijará en el peso del paciente al terminar. Dependiendo del movimiento del paciente en la báscula, esta puede tardar varios segundos en fijar el peso.
3. Después de obtener el peso del paciente, y con este todavía sobre la báscula, presione BMI .

5. Con el tope plegado, deslice el mismo hasta la altura estimada del paciente. A continuación, eleve el tope hasta su posición horizontal. La función de Tara realiza esta resta automáticamente. La báscula permite introducir manualmente el peso de tara utilizando el teclado o de manera automática, como se indica en esta sección. Pesar a un paciente y tarar un peso desconocido
1. Espere a que aparezca “0.0” en la pantalla.
2. Coloque el objeto a ser tarado en la báscula. La pantalla mostrará el peso del objeto. El peso mínimo que puede ser tarado es de 5 lb / 2.27 kg. Nota: La báscula debe fijarse en un peso antes de poder tararlo.
3. Con el objeto aun en la báscula, presione Tare . La báscula indicará cero y la palabra “TARE” aparecerá en la parte inferior central de la pantalla junto al valor de tara. Retire el objeto de la báscula.
4. Coloque al paciente y al objeto nuevamente en la báscula. La báscula restará automáticamente el peso de tara del peso total del paciente y el objeto juntos. La pantalla mostrará el peso del paciente.
5. Sin peso en la báscula, la pantalla mostrará el peso de tara como una cantidad negativa. El valor de tara permanecerá en la pantalla hasta que cambiarlo, eliminarlo o hasta apagar la báscula. Nota: Cuando esté en modo Tare, la pantalla no mostrará un mensaje para entrar en modo de altura.

6. Para conservar el peso en la pantalla presione Release . La báscula continuará mostrando el peso del paciente después de que este baje de la báscula y permanecerá en la pantalla hasta liberarlo o apagar la báscula. Para liberar el peso, presione Hold/ .

7. Para pesar nuevamente al paciente sin bajarlo de la báscula, presione Reweigh .

Pesar a un paciente y tarar un peso conocido/pre-tara
La pre-tara puede realizarse dentro de los siguientes límites de peso: 0.2 lb – 500 lb / 0.1 kg 226 kg)
1. Espere a que aparezca “0.0” en la pantalla.
2. Mantenga presionado Tare por aproximadamente por 3 segundos. La pantalla cambiará y le pedirá introducir el valor de peso a ser tarado. Utilice las flechas para ingresar el peso a ser tarado. Presione Enter para guardar el valor.
3. La báscula marcará cero y el valor de tara se mostrará como un valor negativo en la pantalla. La palabra “TARE” aparecerá en la parte central inferior de la pantalla a un lado del valor de tara.
4. Coloque al paciente sobre la báscula. La báscula restará automáticamente el peso de tara del peso total del paciente y el objeto juntos. La pantalla mostrará el peso del paciente. Nota: Cuando esté en modo Tare, la pantalla no mostrará un mensaje para entrar en modo de altura.

Función de padre/hijo La función de padre/hijo en las básculas Health o meter® Professional permite pesar cómodamente a un niño pequeño o bebé mientras lo sostiene uno de sus padres. Siga estos sencillos pasos para restar el peso del padre del total para que se muestre únicamente el peso del hijo. 1. Espere a que aparezca “0.0” en la pantalla.
2. 2. Pida al padre que se suba a la báscula sin su hijo. La pantalla mostrará el peso del padre.
3. Con el padre aún parado sobre la báscula, presione Tare La báscula indicará cero y la palabra “TARE” aparecerá en la parte inferior central de la pantalla junto al peso tarado del padre.
4. 4. Coloque cuidadosamente al hijo en los brazos del padre. La báscula restará automáticamente el peso del padre y solo mostrará el peso del hijo. Nota: Cuando esté en modo Tare, la pantalla no mostrará un mensaje para entrar en modo de altura. Nota: Para un método alternativo, después de tarar el peso del padre en el paso 3, pida al padre que baje de la báscula. Sin peso en la báscula, la pantalla mostrará el valor de tara como una cantidad negativa. Pida al padre subir nuevamente a la báscula mientras sostiene al hijo. La báscula restará automáticamente el peso del padre y mostrará únicamente el peso del hijo.
5. El valor de tara permanecerá en el monitor hasta cambiarlo, eliminarlo o hasta apagar la báscula. Para eliminar la Tara, presione . Tare . LIMPIEZA / PIEZAS DE RECAMBIO
Mantenimiento Las siguientes páginas proporcionan instrucciones para el mantenimiento, la limpieza, la calibración y la resolución de problemas de su báscula. Las operaciones de mantenimiento distintas a las descritas en este manual deben ser realizadas por personal de servicio calificado. Antes del primer uso, o después de largos períodos de falta de uso, verifique la adecuada operación y funcionamiento de la báscula. Si no funciona correctamente, consulte al personal de servicio calificado. 1. Verifique la apariencia general de toda la báscula en busca de daños evidentes, desgaste, daño y deterioro. 2. Inspeccione el cable del adaptador de CA no tenga fisuras o desgaste o que las clavijas no estén rotas o dobladas.
Limpieza y desinfección El cuidado y limpieza adecuados son esenciales para asegurar una larga vida de pesaje preciso y efectivo. Precaución: Desconecte la báscula de la fuente de alimentación del adaptador CA antes de limpiar la unidad. 1. Health o meter® Professional recomienda utilizar uno de los siguientes limpiadores sobre un paño suave o una toallita desechable: solución de agua y jabón suave alcohol isopropílico al 70% solución con 1-5% de concentración de peróxido de hidrógeno Después de limpiar/desinfectar la báscula, límpiela con un paño húmedo (agua) y séquela con un paño limpio y seco. CALIBRACIÓN (CONT.)
Esta báscula ha sido calibrada en la fábrica y no requiere calibración antes de usarse. No requiere calibrarse en campo; los usuarios deberán seguir las políticas de calibración de su institución. Puede calibrar su báscula puede utilizando los estándares de calibración de peso en kilogramos (kg) o libras (lb). El peso mínimo de calibración es de 200 lb /100 kg y el máximo es de 1000 lb / 454 kg. El estándar de calibración requerido será la Unidad de Medida (UDM) para el cual esté configurada la báscula. Los modelos KG solo pueden calibrarse en kilogramos. Si la función Everlock® está activada, la báscula podrá calibrarse únicamente en la unidad de medida seleccionada. Nota: Únicamente deberán usarse pesas certificadas y trazables a las normas nacionales para los procedimientos de calibración. Advertencia: Siempre verifique que la báscula regrese a la Unidad de Medida correcta después de calibrarla. 1. Presione Help para ingresar al menú de Ayuda.

2. En el menú de ayuda presione

6. El monitor mostrará “Zeroing Scale” mientras calcula el valor de cero. No toque la báscula durante este proceso.

CALIBRACIÓN (CONT.)
7. Al terminar este proceso, la pantalla le pedirá ingresar el peso de calibración. El peso mínimo de calibración es de 200 lb / 100 kg y el máximo es de 1000 lb / 454 kg. El peso de calibración puede ajustarse en incrementos de 10 lb o 10 kg. Presione Enter cuando haya ingresado el peso de calibración.
8. La pantalla le pedirá colocar las pesas de calibración en la plataforma. Presione Enter cuando las pesas de calibración estén sobre la plataforma.
9. La pantalla indicará “Calibrating” durante el proceso de calibración.

10. Si la calibración es exitosa, la pantalla mostrará el mensaje “Calibration Complete” con un conteo de calibración de 4 dígitos.
11. Si la calibración no fue exitosa, el monitor mostrará un mensaje de error indicando que el peso de calibración y las pesas certificadas no coinciden. La pantalla regresara a la sección de ajuste del peso de calibración para introducir un peso de calibración.

Garantía limitada ¿Qué cubre la garantía? Estas básculas Health o meter® Professional cuentan con una garantía contra defectos de materiales o fabricación por un período de dos (2) años a partir de la fecha de compra. En caso de que el producto muestre defectos en su funcionamiento, puede devolverlo, con flete prepagado y empacado adecuadamente, a Pelstar, LLC (consulte las instrucciones en la sección de: “Para obtener el Servicio de Garantía”). En caso de que el fabricante determine que existe un defecto de material o fabricación, el único recurso del cliente será el reemplazo de la báscula sin cargo adicional. El reemplazo se realiza a través de un producto o componente nuevo o refabricado. En caso de que el producto ya no se encuentre disponible, se podrá reemplazar el mismo con un producto similar de igual o mayor valor. Ce produit a été conçu pour peser des patients qui sont en position sécurisée et debout sur la plateforme. Si une toise est attachée à la balance, son utilisation prévue est la mesure de la taille du patient. Ne modifiez pas le produit et n’utilisez pas la balance à d’autres fins que celles prévues. Pour éviter toute blessure au patient ou au soignant et prévenir tout dommage à la balance, veuillez suivre attentivement les instructions de ce manuel d’utilisation
· Ne dépassez pas la capacité de poids spécifiée pour cette balance. · Pour une pesée précise, placez la balance sur une surface plane et stable. · Avant chaque utilisation, vérifiez que la balance fonctionne correctement en suivant la procédure
décrite dans ce manuel. · N’utilisez pas la balance en présence de matériaux inflammables ou explosifs. · Si la balance est endommagée, ne l’utilisez pas tant qu’elle n’a pas été réparée. · Ne faites pas rouler ou descendre la balance dans un escalier, cela pourrait endommager ses

Utilisation de la balance avec l’adaptateur CA: · Utilisez exclusivement l’adaptateur CA fourni (ADPT30). L’utilisation d’un adaptateur non spécifié
annulera la garantie et pourrait représenter un danger pour la sécurité. · Avant d’utiliser la balance, inspectez le cordon de l’adaptateur pour détecter d’éventuelles fissures,
effilochages ou broches cassées/tordues. · Vérifiez que l’adaptateur CA est branché à une prise de courant conforme aux spécifications de
tension requises pour le bon fonctionnement de l’appareil. · Assurez-vous que la prise de courant est reliée à un disjoncteur ou une autre source d’alimentation
protégée. · Débranchez l’adaptateur CA et rangez-le soigneusement avant de déplacer la balance. · Utiliser la balance à des tensions ou fréquences non spécifiées peut l’endommager et annulera la
garantie.
Utilisation de la balance avec des piles: · Si l’icône de batterie indique une charge faible, remplacez les piles ou branchez l’adaptateur CA dès
que possible. · Lorsque vous remplacez ou insérez des piles, utilisez uniquement des piles neuves. Cet équipement a été testé et est conforme aux limites de compatibilité électromagnétique (CEM) de la norme EN 55011:2009+A1:2010 pour les dispositifs médicaux. Ces limites sont conçues pour offrir une protection raisonnable contre les interférences nuisibles dans un environnement médical typique. L’équipement génère, utilise et peut émettre de l’énergie radiofréquence et, s’il n’est pas installé et utilisé conformément aux instructions, il peut causer des interférences nuisibles avec d’autres dispositifs à proximité. Avant le montage Soigneusement le carton pour vous assurer qu’il n’est pas endommagé avant de le déballer. Si vous remarquez des dommages, contactez immédiatement votre expéditeur ou un représentant de Health o meter® Professional au 1-800-815-6615. Toute réclamation doit être déposée auprès de l’expéditeur le plus tôt possible après réception du colis. Les informations suivantes détaillent le contenu du carton principal lorsque vous déballez les pièces pour le montage. Pour éviter d’égratigner les composants, retirez soigneusement chaque élément du carton et enlevez les matériaux de conditionnement. Mettez le carton de côté pour le stockage. Pour éviter d’endommager les pièces de la balance lors du déballage, n’utilisez pas de cutter, de couteau, de ciseaux ou tout autre objet pointu pour ouvrir l’emballage intérieur de protection.

Health o meter® Professional Scales recommande que l’assemblage soit effectué par deux personnes. Avertissement: Ne laissez pas tomber la balance, cela pourrait endommager définitivement les cellules de charge. Attention: N’insérez pas les piles dans la tête d’affichage avant qu’elle ne soit montée sur la balance. Remarque: Cette balance a été calibrée en usine et ne nécessite pas de calibration avant utilisation. Remarque: La couleur réelle du produit peut différer des images présentées. 1. Retirez la plateforme/base du carton et
placez-la sur une surface plane, nivelée et sèche, avec le logo Health o meter Professional face à vous. Repérez la barre centrale et le câble de la cellule de charge sortant du bas du côté droit. Faites passer le câble de la cellule de charge dans le support de la barre droite, à travers le support, puis à travers le trou derrière la roue sous la plateforme. Assurez-vous que le câble passe par le trou au-dessus de la roue et non par le canal à côté.
2. Saisissez le câble de la cellule de charge qui sort du bas de la plateforme et faitesle passer dans le bouclier métallique de protection.
3. Branchez le câble de la cellule de charge dans le port situé sous la plateforme.
4. Placez la barre centrale sur les supports gauche et droit de la plateforme. Ne pincez pas le câble. Insérez les quatre rondelles M8 (Pièce E) sur les quatre boulons M8 1.25 x 20 mm (Pièce B), puis insérez-les dans les trous de montage des barres et des supports. Serrez légèrement à l’aide de la clé Allen de 5 mm incluse. Ne serrez pas trop.

5. Alignez les barres latérales gauche et droite avec les trous de montage de la barre centrale. Insérez les quatre boulons M10 1.5 x 40 mm (Pièce A) à travers les barres latérales dans les trous de montage de la barre centrale. Serrez légèrement à l’aide de la clé Allen de 8 mm.

6. Face à la balance, tirez les barres latérales vers vous pour incliner la balance et placez-la délicatement face contre le sol. Vissez les quatre pieds sous la plateforme. Serrez complètement à la main, puis desserrez de 1 tour et demi pour assurer le bon fonctionnement de la cellule de charge.

7. Redressez délicatement la balance en position verticale sur le sol. Avertissement: Ne laissez pas tomber la balance, cela pourrait endommager les cellules de charge. Ajustez les pieds pour niveler la balance. Assurezvous que les pieds ne sont pas complètement vissés dans la plateforme.
Tirez l’excédent de câble par le haut de la barre centrale. 8. Prenez la tête d’affichage et alignez les fentes de fixation situées à l’arrière avec les languettes du support d’affichage argenté. Faites glisser les fentes de la tête d’affichage sur les languettes du support.

9. Alignez les quatre trous situés à l’arrière de la tête d’affichage avec les quatre trous de montage du support d’affichage argenté. Fixez avec quatre vis M4 0.7 x 10 mm (Pièce C), en les serrant avec un tournevis cruciforme.

10. Prenez le couvercle en plastique du support, insérez le câble de la cellule de charge dans l’encoche au centre et alignez le couvercle sur le support. Fixez avec les deux vis M4 0.7 x 10 mm (Pièce C) et serrez avec un tournevis cruciforme.
11. Branchez le câble de la cellule de charge dans le port situé à l’arrière de la tête d’affichage.

12. Fixez les couvercles en plastique du support d’affichage (Pièce F) à l’avant et à l’arrière de la balance. L’assemblage est terminé. Consultez la section “Mise sous tension de la balance” à la page 6 pour les instructions d’alimentation par piles ou adaptateur CA. Si vous utilisez l’adaptateur CA, passez à l’étape suivante pour fixer son support.
13. Étape facultative Alimentation via adaptateur CA. Fixez le support de l’adaptateur à la barre avec les deux vis à tôle incluses (Pièce D). Serrez les vis avec un tournevis cruciforme.

ALIMENTER LA BALANCE
Alimenter la balance Branchez l’adaptateur CA dans la prise située à l’arrière de la tête d’affichage, puis branchez-le dans la source d’alimentation. Avertissement: N’utilisez que l’adaptateur CA Health o meter Professional modèle ADPT30 pour éviter tout risque de sécurité.
Prise de l’adaptateur d’alimentation
Pour une alimentation par piles, voir la section “Installation des piles” ci-dessous. Installation des piles 1. Débranchez l’adaptateur CA s’il est
branché. Retirez le couvercle des piles à l’aide d’un tournevis cruciforme.
2. Retirez le pack de piles et insérez des piles neuves en respectant la polarité. Utilisez des piles alcalines conçues pour 130°F (54°C). Ne pas utiliser de piles Zinc-Carbon.
3. Remettez le pack de piles dans la tête d’affichage, côté contacts argentés vers l’intérieur. Revissez le couvercle des piles.
Avertissement: Si la balance ne sera pas utilisée pendant un certain temps, retirez les piles pour éviter tout risque de sécurité. L’élimination des piles doit être effectuée conformément aux réglementations nationales, régionales ou locales en vigueur.

Configuration de l’unité de mesure/Verrouillage de l’unité
(Cette fonction n’est pas disponible sur les modèles KG)
L’unité de mesure du poids (livres/LB ou kilogrammes/KG) peut être modifiée en appuyant sur Un.it Suivez cette procédure pour verrouiller l’unité de mesure du poids sur LB ou KG uniquement.

1. Appuyez sur Help pour accéder aux options du menu Aide.

2. Dans le menu Aide, appuyez sur

3. «Units Lock (Verrouillage des unités)» est le premier

Activer l’option Unit View avec l’unité de mesure verrouillée (Cette fonction n’est pas disponible sur les modèles KG ou modèles avec un code de date dont les deux derniers chiffres sont inférieurs à 18) Si la balance est configurée selon les instructions ci-dessus, les utilisateurs peuvent toujours visualiser l’autre unité de mesure du poids en activant l’option « Unit View ». L’activation de l’option « Unit View » permet à l’utilisateur d’appuyer sur la touche UNIT pour afficher brièvement le poids dans l’autre unité de mesure. Après avoir relâché la touche UNIT, le poids s’affichera à nouveau dans l’unité de mesure sélectionnée. Le réglage par défaut de l’option « Unit View » est « Désactivé ». Suivez cette procédure pour activer la fonction « Unit View » lorsque l’unité de mesure du poids est sélectionnée. N.B.: Si Everlock® est activé, cette fonction n’apparaîtra pas dans le menu Options.

Configuration de la minuterie d’arrêt automatique Si le pèse-personne est allumé avec des piles ou si l’arrêt automatique est activé lorsque l’adaptateur secteur est branché, la période d’inactivité peut être configurée pour une durée spécifique avant que l’appareil ne s’éteigne. Suivez la procédure suivante pour régler le nombre de secondes d’inactivité avant la mise hors tension.

Définir la mise à zéro automatique

Cette option permet à l’utilisateur de choisir si la balance devra se remettre à zéro à chaque

mise sous tension ou si elle devra conserver la valeur affichée lors de sa dernière mise à zéro.

Le réglage par défaut de la mise à zéro automatique est « activé ». Suivez cette procédure pour

activer ou désactiver cette fonction.

· «Activer » signifie que la balance se remettra automatiquement à zéro à la mise sous tension.

Après chaque utilisation, la balance effacera le poids du patient et se remettra à zéro comme au

démarrage. Health o meter® Professional recommande de laisser cette fonctionnalité activée..

Remarque: Appuyer sur une touche pour sortir la balance du mode veille ne la remettra pas à

zéro.

· « Désactiver » signifie que la balance ne tente pas de se remettre à zéro à chaque mise sous

tension, mais conserve la valeur zéro de sa dernière utilisation. Health o meter® Professional

recommande, si l’option Désactiver est sélectionnée, de remettre manuellement la balance à zéro

avant chaque mesure de poids en appuyant sur remise à zéro.

3. Suivez la procédure de mesure du poids. Après avoir obtenu le poids du patient, et pendant que le patient demeure sur le pèse-personne, appuyez sur BMI .
4. Le pèse-personne vous demandera d’entrer la taille du patient. Utilisez les touches directionnelles pour entrer la taille du patient. Remarque : Lorsque vous pesez en livres, la taille est affichée en pouces. Si vous pesez en kilogrammes, la taille est affichée en centimètres.
5. Une fois la taille saisie, appuyez sur Enter . 6. L’écran affichera l’IMC (BMI) du patient. Une fois le processus
terminé, demandez au patient de descendre du pèsepersonne ou retirez-le délicatement de l’appareil.

Remarque : L’écran récapitulatif de l’IMC s’affiche pendant

environ 10 secondes ou jusqu’à ce que vous appuyiez sur

Zero (Clear)

pour revenir au mode de pesage normal. Après avoir quitté

l’écran récapitulatif, si le patient est toujours sur le pèse,

l’écran affichera à nouveau la mesure du poids.

Fonction IMC avec mesure numérique de la taille
Remarque : La mesure numérique de la hauteur est disponible avec la toise numérique en option, vendue séparément. La plage de mesure numérique de la hauteur est comprise entre 120 et 202 cm.
1. Assurez-vous qu’il n’y a rien sur la plate-forme de poids et que l’écran affiche « 0,0 »
2. Demandez au patient de monter sur le pèse-personne. Ce dernier commencera à afficher le poids du patient et le mot « PROCESSING ». En fonction du mouvement du patient sur le pèse-personne, plusieurs secondes peuvent être nécessaires pour que le pèse-personne affiche le poids. L’écran affichera le poids du patient et le mot « LOCKED » lorsque la prise de poids sera terminée

3. Suivez la procédure de mesure du poids. Après avoir obtenu le poids du patient, et pendant que le patient demeure sur le pèse-personne, appuyez sur BMI .

4. A. Si la toise est réglée à sa position d’origine, l’écran indiquera 47,2 pouces (pour une pesée en livres) ou 120 cm (pour une pesée en kilogrammes). Passer à l’étape 5.

B. Si la toise n’est pas réglée à sa position d’origine, l’écran demandera à l’utilisateur de réinitialiser la toise à sa position d’origine ou inviter l’utilisateur à appuyer sur une touche fléchée pour accéder au mode de hauteur manuel. Poussez la toise jusqu’à sa position initiale. Une fois à sa position initiale, l’écran affiche 3 pieds 11,2 pouces (en livres) ou 120 cm (en kilogrammes). Passez à l’étape 5. Remarque : La réinitialisation de la toise à sa position initiale n’est nécessaire qu’une seule fois après la mise sous tension. Il n’est pas nécessaire de la réinitialiser à chaque mesure de taille si la balance est restée allumée.

5. Avec la pièce supérieure en position rabattue, faites glisser la pièce supérieure vers le haut ou vers le bas jusqu’à la hauteur estimée du patient. Ensuite, relevez la pièce supérieure dans sa position horizontale. Assurez-vous que la posture du patient est droite et que la tête du patient est droite et à niveau. Faites glisser la pièce supérieure vers le bas jusqu’à ce qu’elle repose sur la tête du patient. L’affichage indiquera la hauteur du patient.

6. Une fois que la hauteur est déterminée, appuyez sur Enter .L’écran affichera l’IMC (BMI) du patient. Une fois le processus terminé, demandez au patient de descendre du pèsepersonne ou retirez-le délicatement de l’appareil.
