Guide for updating EXact2 Web Server Module software

Steps to update the ventilation system’s Web Module

Method 1

  1. Click on Menu.EXHAUSTO-EXact2-Web-Server-Module-software-FIG-1
  2. Any unsaved changes must be saved before proceeding to update the firmware.EXHAUSTO-EXact2-Web-Server-Module-software-FIG-2
  3. Click on Firmware Update, select the firmware file from a connected pc, and press uUploadEXHAUSTO-EXact2-Web-Server-Module-software-FIG-3
  4. Wait until the update is finished (appr. 5 min), and the menu should appear as in the following screenshot:EXHAUSTO-EXact2-Web-Server-Module-software-FIG-4
  5.  Power cycle the ventilation system.
  6.  The time and date in the HMI menu (3.2.1) should now be able to be set to the current time.

Method 2

Prepare the USB stick:

  1. Ensure that the latest software patch (3.6-25) is saved on an empty USB drive.
  2. The software file must be placed in the root directory of the USB drive.
  3. It should be the only file on the USB drive, avoid placing it in a subfolder.
    Connect the USB drive to the Web Module:
  4. Insert the USB drive into the Web Module of the ventilation system.EXHAUSTO-EXact2-Web-Server-Module-software-FIG-5Restart the ventilation system:
  5.  While the USB drive is still connected, power cycle the system.
  6.  Upon restart, the Web Module will detect and begin loading the new software.
  7.  Wait for the software to be installed:
  8.  The installation process typically takes 5-8 minutes.
  9.  During this time, the system will automatically be updated to version 3.6-25
    Verify the update:
  10. The update process can be monitored via the HMI interface under Versions in menu 6.3.
  11. Once the update is complete, the web module will display that it has been updated to version 3.6-25.
    Access the Web Module:
  12. After the update, the Web Module will be accessible through a local network (LAN).
  13.  The time and date in the HMI menu (3.2.1) should now be able to be set to the current time.
