Insect screen sizing is universal for Andersen® TruScene® and standard insect screens. Andersen® and TruScene® insect screens are manufactured for Andersen® windows only and cannot be used on any other brand of windows.

Andersen® windows have the AW logo etched in the glass. The logo is located on the interior bottom right-hand corner of the window sash. See example below.

Do you have Andersen 400 Series or 200 Series windows?
Andersen manufactures a variety of windows. Below are a few key points that will help identify the type of windows you have in your home.
Casement & Awning Windows
Insect screens for Andersen casement and awning windows are universal for 400 Series and 200 Series product lines.
Double-Hung Windows
- Andersen® 400 Series double-hung windows have a tilt-wash feature for easy cleaning and the tilt mechanisms, or wash assists, are located in the interior jamb.
- Andersen® 200 Series tilt-wash double-hung windows have tilt latches located on the checkrail.
- Andersen® 200 Series Narroline® double-hung windows do not tilt.

Do you have an existing Andersen® insect screen that you are replacing?
If Yes:
The insect screen size is stamped on the side, top or bottom of the Andersen® screen frame. For example, 24310 is stamped on the insect screen unit below.
Do you have an existing Andersen® insect screen that you are replacing?
If No:
Measure the unobstructed glass dimension of the sash (this is the part of the glass that you can see and touch). For double-hung windows, measure one of the sashes. See the examples below.

Note:
Double-hung window insect screens have a bar across the center of the insect screen. If the bar is off-center, the window is called a cottage-style or reverse cottage-style double-hung window. See the examples below.
If you have a cottage or reverse cottage style Andersen® window, measure the unobstructed glass dimension of both the top and bottom sash. Take measurements to your local Home Depot® store and ask a millwork associate for assistance or call Andersen at 1-888-888-7020.

Casement Windows

- Unobstructed Glass” measurement is for single sash only.
- These units have straight arm operators, see opening specifications.
- CW series units (except CW2, CVw25, and CW3 height) open to 20″ clear opening width using sill hinge control bracket. Bracket can be pivoted allowing for a cleaning position. CW series units are also available with a 22″ clear opening Edith.
- Andersen’s art glass panels are available for these units by special order only. Contact your Andersen supplier. Panels are available for all other units on this page through the normal ordering process. Visit andersenwindows.om/artglass for pattems.
- These units meet or exceed the following dimensions Clear Openable Area of 5.7 sq. ft, a Clear Openable Width of 20″ and a Clear Openable Height of 24; when appropriate hardware (straight am or split am) is specified
- Casement transom units (CTR) may be rotated to be used as a casement or awning sidelight
- Rough opening dimensions may need to be increased to allow for use of building wraps, flashing, sill panning, brackets, fasteners or other items.
- Unit Dimension always refers to the outside frame-to-frame dimension.
- Dimensions in parentheses are in millimeters.
- When ordering, be sure to specify the color desired: White, Sandtone, Teratone” or Forest Green.

- 7-4 7/8″ and 7-8 7/8″ height units have interior and exterior brackets. The interior brackets, located on each side of the check rail, must be flipped up for proper product performance.
- 7-4 7/8″ and 7-8 7/8″ height units must be joined vertically with Andersen-reinforced joining materials.

5-9 height units are “Cottage style” units, and have unequal sash. The top sash is shorter than the bottom sash. Units with equal sash heights are ordered by description. Contact supplier for lead times.
