Temperature sensors
Instructions for storage
- These are the main aspects to consider when storing temperature sensor products.
- Temperature sensors are sensitive measuring devices, which do have robust industrial parts, but also have fragile materials and electric/electronic components inside.
- These instructions are valid for both resistance and thermocouple sensor types.
- Products shall be stored indoors. Store in temperatures of +1 °C and above. Never let the products freeze.
- All sensor types are not designed for outdoor circumstances, and all protective features, such as ingress protection, are active when packaged for storage.
- Not all sensor types are not sunshine proof. Do not subject to UV radiation.
- Ambient humidity can damage products when freezing and/or expanding inside the structure.
- Store in a plastic bag to keep humidity outside.
- Certain temperature sensor parts are made of corrosive materials; avoid humidity.
- Ambient humidity can damage products when entering the structure.
- Avoid mechanical stress and weight to be applied to sensor products.
- Products shall be stored indoors. Store in temperatures of +1 °C and above. Never let the products freeze.
- For example, dropping a package on the floor might damage the measuring resistance or the ceramic protection tube of some sensor types.
- Retain the straight, long sensor types on even, horizontal levels to avoid bending and cracking of materials. The long (MI structure) types delivered rolled should also be stored rolled.
- For special ambient warehouse circumstances, please ask for further advice. Our contact information is.
