Open the box of the XGS-PONONU and carefully unpack it. The box should contain the following items:
- XGPN-100
- QRCodeSheet
- DC12V,1APowerAdapter
If any item is found missing or damaged, please contact your local reseller for replacement.
Requirements
- Workstations running Windows 7/8/10/11, MAC OS 10.12 or later, Linux Kernel 2.16.18 or later, or other platforms are compatible with TCP/IP protocols.
- Workstations are installed with an Ethernet NIC (Network Interface Card)
- Ethernet Port Connection
> Network cables — Use standard network (UTP) cables with RJ45 connectors.
> The above PC is installed with a Web browser.
Note: It is recommended to use Chrome 98.0.xxx or above to access the XGS-PON ONU. If the Web interface of the XGS-PON ONU is not accessible, please turn off the anti-virus software or firewall and then try it again. To connect the XGPN-100 to an XG-PON network, the following equipment is required:
- XG-PONOLTSwitch:PLANETXGPL-16000(16-PortXG(S)-PONOLT)
- XG-PONOLT Transceiver: PLANET XGPL-XGSFP-N1

Hardware Installation
Step 1: Connect the Power Adapter provided in the package to the XGPN-100. The Power LED on the front panel will turn on accordingly.
Step 2: Follow the diagram below to connect the network devices:
- Power Connection: Plug in the power adapter and turn on the device.
- LAN Connection: Use an Ethernet cable to connect a computer or switch to the LAN port.
PON Connection: Connect the fiber optic cable from the XGS-PON OLT to the PON port of the XGPN-100.Starting Web Management
The following instructions explain how to access the Web Management interface of the XGS-PON ONU. Configuration is performed via an Ethernet connection, so ensure that the management PC is set to the same IP subnet. For example, if the default IP address of the XGS-PON ONU is 192.168.1.1, the management PC should be assigned an IP address within the 192.168.1.x range (where x is any number between 2 and 254). The default subnet mask is 255.255.255.0.
Logging on to the XGS-PON ONU
- Use Chrome or another Web browser to enter the default IP address https://192.168.1.1 to access the web interface.
- When the following dialog box appears, please enter the default user name “admin” and the password. Refer to the following to determine your initial login password.
Default IP Address: 192.168.1.1
Default User Account: user/password: 123456
Default Admin Account: admin/password: super&123
Reverting to the Default Configuration
- IP address has been changed or admin password has been forgotten – To restore factory settings:
- Press and hold the reset button on the front panel for 15 seconds until the LED indicators blink.
- Wait for the device to reboot.
- After resetting, the device will revert to the following settings:
Default IP Address: 192.168.1.1
Default User Account: user/password: 123456
Default Admin Account: admin/ password: super&123Customer Support
