The ActiveCount Remote Impactor Kit offers a range of modular, autoclavable components to help you build the ideal viable sampling setup for your critical environments. Whether you use an in house vacuum system for viable sampling, our ActiveCount viable sampler, or our Remote ActiveCount viable sampler setup – this system adapts to your needs and grows and scales easily. Our impactor base is sized perfectly to allow sampling in tight spaces, and is dual configurable to sample from the side or the bottom. No matter the application, we have it covered!
Streamlining Your Viable Sampling Needs
The ActiveCount Remote Impactor Kit offers flexible control options to suit your preferred sampling media with kits that offer both petri dish options as well as Rapid Micro Bio cassettes. Adding additional outlet barbs to your kit allows you to sample at 10 LPM, 25 LPM, 28.3 LPM, and 100 LPM allowing this system to adapt to your changing needs.
For ActiveCount Users
For current users of our ActiveCount25H or ActiveCount100H, this system allows your viable sampler to perform remote sampling from up to 10 feet away of the main unit. This smart upgrade was designed to easily convert to remote sampling in less than 5 minutes.
For Users with a House Vacuum System
If you currently use your house vacuum system for viable sampling this system also fits your needs as well. With options to control your sampling flow rate via the orifice barbs, a flow controller, or using your house system controls – there are kits designed to make your job easier.
Monitoring Multiple Areas
Because this system is modular, you can add as many parts as needed in order to meet the demands on your critical areas. For example, if you need to monitor four key areas, you could consider purchasing four impactor bases, sample heads, outlets barbs, and sets of sample tubing. Each area you sample could have its own unique flow rate, and its own setup ready to go.
You might also have some critical areas where you need your results faster. In these areas you could select the magnetic RMB Cassette holder as an add on. This would allow you to sample using petri dish media or to choose cassette media in places where results are needed faster.

Selecting the Best Option for Your Sampling Needs
With multiple kit versions available–including options for new users, current owners of the ActiveCount25H or ActiveCount100H, and those using a house vacuum system–you can select exactly what you need without extra parts. Whether you need 100 LPM, 28.3 LPM, 25 LPM, or 10 LPM flow rates, or prefer petri dish or Rapid Micro Bio cassette sampling, this guide is here to help you choose the right configuration for your specific application.
House Vacuum Systems vs External Vacuum Control
The ActiveCount Remote Impactor Kit offers flexible control options to suit your setup. You can connect it to an existing house vacuum system for a streamlined, facility-integrated solution, or pair it with an external vacuum source such as the ActiveCount25H or ActiveCount100H for precise, mobile control. This versatility ensures you can build a viable sampling system that fits seamlessly into your workflow.
Flow Control via Pump or Sampling Head
With the ActiveCount Remote Impactor Kit, you have the flexibility to manage flow control in a way that best fits your setup. You can use an external vacuum pump–such as the ActiveCount25H 100H–to precisely control flow rate, or rely on the remote impactor sample head itself, which is designed to regulate flow mechanically for consistent and accurate viable sampling. This adaptability allows you to maintain reliable results, no matter your configuration.
ActiveCount Generation A via Generation B
To determine if your ActiveCount25H is a Generation A or Generation B model, simply remove the sample head and take a look at the top of the unit. If you see an orange gasket around the connection point, you have a Generation B model–which means your unit is ready to use with the Remote Impactor Kit right away. If you don’t see an orange gasket, you likely have a Generation A model that will need to be sent in for a service upgrade to ensure compatibility. This quick visual check can help you get started with the right setup and avoid any delays in integrating your viable sampling system.
Scannable Sampling Heads
Each impactor head features a laser-annealed barcode on its surface, allowing for easy tracking of inventory and usage across your facility. This durable, permanent marking ensures long-term readability, even after repeated cleaning or autoclaving. For best results when scanning, we recommend using a 2D scanner and disabling the scanner’s backlight before use. Because the sample head has a shiny metallic surface, backlighting can cause glare or reflections that may interfere with accurate barcode reading. Disabling the backlight ensures a smooth and reliable scan every time.
