Bluetooth Pairing
- Step 1: Toggle down the switch on the right side of the keyboard and the screen in the middle will light up, indicating that the keyboard is on. At this point, the Bluetooth indicator will flash rapidly, indicating that the keyboard has automatically entered Bluetooth pairing mode.
- Step 2: On your iPad, go to Settings- Bluetooth, turn on the Bluetooth, and then “Inateck KB09121” will show up as an available device.
- Step 3: Tab “Inateck KB09121” to pair it with your iPad. Once the keyboard is paired with your iPad successfully, the Bluetooth indicator will turn off.
Note:
- Set Up Your iPad:
- For a better user experience, please follow the steps below to set up your iPad for first use once Bluetooth pairing is completed
- Go to Settings > General > Trackpad and drag the slider to the middle of the tracking speed.
- Go to Settings > General > Trackpad and turn on “Tap to Click” and “Two-Finger Secondary Click”
- Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch and turn off Assistive Touch.
- Go to Settings > General > Gestures and enable the toggle for the “Four and Five Finger Swipe” setting.

- Steps to stop Caps Lock changing your keyboard language:
- Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Hardware Keyboard and turn off Switch Languages using Caps Lock
- Steps to disable the double tap period shortcut:
- Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Hardware Keyboard and click the switch to turn on “Shortcut.
- Fix Bluetooth Pairing Problems:
- Step 1: Go to Settings > Bluetooth, find “Inateck KB09121” in My Devices and tap the info button
next to it, then tap “Forget This Device”
If there are multiple pairing records related to the keyboard, please clear all of them. - Step 2: Hold
the option simultaneously for 5 seconds and then all indicators will blink 6 times once the factory reset is completed. At this point, the keyboard enters Bluetooth pairing mode, and the Bluetooth indicator flashes rapidly.
- Step 3: Pair your Inateck KB09121 with your iPad
- Step 1: Go to Settings > Bluetooth, find “Inateck KB09121” in My Devices and tap the info button

Multi-Touch Gestures
Adjust the Keyboard Backlight
- Hold option
simultaneously to adjust the backlight brightness. 3 levels are at your choice.
- Hold Option
simultaneously to adjust the backlight color. 7 colors are available in total.
LED Indicator
- Bluetooth Indicator: After powering on, the Bluetooth indicator will flash rapidly, indicating that the keyboard is in Bluetooth pairing mode. Once the keyboard is paired with your iPad successfully, the Bluetooth indicator will turn off.
- Caps Lock Indicator: This light keeps on when the keyboard is in uppercase input mode.
- Battery Indicator: When the keyboard is powered on, this light stays on, displaying the keyboard’s battery level.
- Charging Indicator: This light is in breathing flash mode when the keyboard is charging, and will stay on when the keyboard is fully charged.
Restore Factory Defaults
Hold option simultaneously for 5 seconds, Complete restoration of factory settings.
Charging
When the battery level is under 20%, please recharge the keyboard in time via the included USB charging cable. The recommended charging voltage is 5V. The keyboard will be fully charged in 30~60 min. The charging indicator is in breathing flash mode when the keyboard is charging, and will stay on when the keyboard is fully charged.
Note: There will be a deviation of about 5% between the battery level displayed by the iPad battery widget and the actual battery level.
Please refer to the indicator light for the following situations:
- When the keyboard is charging, please judge whether it is fully charged according to the status of the charging indicator.
- Please refer to the battery indicator for the actual battery level.
Sleep Mode
- When KB09121 is left idle for 30 seconds, the backlight will turn off.
- When KB09121 is left idle for 15 minutes, it will enter sleep mode and the Bluetooth connection will be disrupted. The connection can be rebuilt with a press of any key.
