Child Usage Guidelines
! WARNING! DEATH or SERIOUS INJURY can occur.
· USE ONLY WITH CHILDREN WHO WEIGH BETWEEN 40 AND 120 POUNDS (18 AND 54 KG), AND WHOSE HEIGHT IS BETWEEN 43.3 AND 60 INCHES (110 AND 152 CM), AND WHO ARE 4 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. Using this Booster Seat with a child who does not meet ALL of these requirements may increase the risk of death or serious injury.
· USE this Booster Seat FORWARD FACING ONLY.

Booster Seats raise the child up and help to position the vehicle Lap and Shoulder Belt correctly. When the child is properly restrained in a Booster Seat, their risk of injury in all types of crashes is reduced. It is important for the child to sit properly within the vehicle seat belts. When the vehicle seat belt is buckled:

· Position the Shoulder Belt Guide AT or JUST ABOVE the child’s shoulders so that the Shoulder Belt passes through the Shoulder Belt Guide A, across the middle of the child’s shoulder B, and snugly across the midpoint of the child’s chest C.

· Position the Lap Belt so it sits low and snug at the child’s

hips Dand passes through both Lap Belt Guides.

If the child leans out, moves the belt behind their back, or places it under their arm, it will not provide the intended restraint.

Child Usage Guidelines Things to consider when deciding whether a child is ready to sit in a Booster Seat: · The child’s weight and height, and the weight and height rating of their current child
seat. · The child’s age and maturity (are they mature enough to sit in the Booster Seat and not
put the belts under their arm or behind their back?). · The seating positions available in your vehicle. Using a Booster Seat is very similar to buckling yourself into the vehicle. · Read the vehicle owner’s manual and the Owner’s Manual for the Booster Seat before
you start. · Put the Booster Seat in the back seat in a location with a Lap and Shoulder Belt. Never
use a Booster Seat with a Lap Belt only, as this could cause serious injuries. · After the child is seated in the Booster Seat, pull the Lap and Shoulder Belt across their
body and buckle it, then ensure that the vehicle belts are positioned as shown in “Child Requirements” on pg. 10.

· NEVER TEND to your child’s needs while driving. Driving while distracted is the cause of many car crashes. Safely stop your vehicle in order to tend to your child.

· DO NOT SECURE this Booster Seat to the vehicle’s LATCH/UAS anchors if the seat belt or seat belt buckle is not easily accessible when the Booster Seat is securely installed or if it negatively impacts the positioning of the seat belt over the child.

· NEVER ALLOW children to play with this Booster Seat.
· DO NOT allow children to play with vehicle seat belts. A child within reach of a seat belt may become entangled if they pull the seat belt all the way out and wrap the belt around their head, neck, or waist.

manual to determine what vehicle belts and retractors are used in your vehicle. · NEVER USE this Booster Seat with a Lap Belt only, or with any motorized, door mounted, or inflatable vehicle belts. Your child would not be properly restrained in the event of a crash. · DO NOT use with Lap/Shoulder Belts with two retractors. If the vehicle seat belts are not routed and fastened correctly, the Booster Seat may not protect the child in a crash. · DO NOT use in a vehicle with seat belts that automatically move along

Your vehicle Owner’s Manual may also refer to this system as ISOFIX or LUAS (Lower Universal Anchorage System).

Lower Anchors are located in the crease, or bight, between the vehicle seat back and seat cushion, and, if not visible, will typically be indicated by the symbol as shown. CYBEX allows the Solution G2 to be installed in the vehicle Center Seating Position using the two inner Lower Anchors from the outboard seating positions if your vehicle manufacturer allows it AND the distance between the Lower Anchors is exactly 11 in (28 cm). When using the Lower Anchors, make sure there are no obstructions for the installation. If these conditions cannot be met, use the vehicle Lap/Shoulder Belt for installation in the center position.

Product Features Linear Side-impact Protection (L.S.P.)

The Linear Side-impact Protection (L.S.P.) system on your Solution G2 allows the forces from a side impact collision to be reduced gradually to help minimize injuries. The Solution G2 is shipped with the L.S.P. Bolsters installed. DO NOT use the car seat without the L.S.P. installed. To remove the L.S.P. Bolsters:

1. Remove the Backrest cover on the corresponding side of the Booster.

2. Press in on the L.S.P. Release Button A

on the inside of the backrest (pg. 19).

3. From the outside of the backrest, slide

up the Bolster and pull away from the

Booster B.

To install the L.S.P. Bolsters:

1. Align the Bolster with the L.S.P. guide on

the corresponding side of the Booster.

2. Slide the Bolster into position until you hear a CLICK C.

Product Features Reclining Headrest The Reclining Headrest on the Solution G2 is designed to help prevent your child’s head from falling forward, keeping them protected in the event of a crash.
After adjusting the Headrest to the correct height for your child (pg. 21), select the Headrest recline position that is most comfortable for your child by lifting up and moving the Headrest forward or backward as shown. With some instruction and practice, a child can easily learn to adjust the Reclining Headrest on their own.

Installing the Solution G2 Booster Seat

Rigid LATCH/UAS is ONLY used to stabilize the Booster Seat on the vehicle seat. The vehicle Lap/Shoulder Belt is required to secure the child in the Booster Seat.

Be sure that the Rigid LATCH/ UAS Connectors are secured to the vehicle Lower Anchors by pulling hard on the Booster Seat from both sides.
7. While squeezing the Adjustment Handle, push the booster until it rests flat against the vehicle seat back.
8. Release the handle and the Booster Seat will lock into place, then continue with “Adjusting the Seat for Your Child” on pg. 27).

After the Solution G2 is properly installed:

To return the Booster to the upright position, squeeze the Adjustment Handle and guide the seat upwards with light pressure against the booster.

Adjusting the Seat for Your Child
Adjust the Headrest Height 1. Squeeze the Headrest Height Adjuster
(pg. 20) and raise the Headrest to its highest position. 2. Place your child in the Booster Seat, making certain they are sitting up straight with their back against the Backrest. 3. Adjust the Headrest so the Shoulder Belt lies across the middle of the shoulder and snug across the midpoint of the child’s chest.

Securing Your Child

! WARNING! DEATH or SERIOUS INJURY can occur.

· NEVER USE WITH A LAP BELT ONLY.

· NEVER ALLOW your child to place the Shoulder Belt under their arm.

· NEVER ALLOW your child to place the Shoulder Belt behind their back.

· NEVER ALLOW the seat belt buckle to be located within the Lap Belt Guide. Refer to the vehicle owner’s manual for possible solutions. Sometimes a longer buckle stalk will interfere with proper belt routing. If this is the case, try a different vehicle seat position.

Securing Your Child

! WARNING! DEATH or SERIOUS INJURY can occur.

· NEVER POSITION any part of the vehicle seat belt over the top of the Armrests.
· NEVER USE with the Shoulder Belt in contact with your child’s neck.

· NEVER ALLOW your child to slide down (slouch) in the Booster Seat. This could position the Lap Belt across your child’s abdomen and/or cause the Shoulder Belt to be in contact with your child’s neck.

Securing Your Child To properly secure your child in the Booster: 1. Slip the Shoulder Belt
between the Side Pad and the Headrest, then route the Shoulder Belt through the GREEN Shoulder Belt Guide.

3. Buckle the seat belt, making sure the Shoulder Belt passes underneath the Armrest on the buckle side.

2. Pull the Shoulder Belt down across your child’s chest while guiding the Lap Belt underneath both Armrests.

4. Pull up on the Shoulder Belt to remove any slack.

Securing Your Child

When your child sits properly in the Booster Seat:

· The Shoulder Belt Guide is positioned AT or JUST ABOVE the child’s shoulders so that the Shoulder Belt passes through the Shoulder Belt Guide A, across the middle of the child’s shoulder B, and snugly across the midpoint of the child’s chest C.

IMPORTANT: If the vehicle belt does not fall across the middle of the shoulder, adjust the Headrest (see pg. 21) to achieve proper belt fit. · The Lap Belt is positioned so it sits low and snug at the child’s hips Dand passes through both Lap Belt Guides.

· BOTH the Lap and Shoulder Belt must be underneath the Armrest on the side with the buckle. Pull up on the Shoulder Belt to remove any slack in the belts.

· If you need to use a blanket in cold weather, secure your child in the Booster Seat first, and then cover both child and Booster Seat with the blanket.

Uninstalling the Booster

1. Unbuckle the vehicle Lap/Shoulder Belt and remove the seat belt from the belt guides.
2. Release the Rigid LATCH/UAS Connectors from the vehicle anchors. a. Press both Rigid LATCH/UAS Release Buttons at the same time A. b. Pull the Rigid LATCH/UAS Connectors off the vehicle anchors B.
3. Rotate the Rigid LATCH/UAS Connectors 180°as shown C.

4. Squeeze the gray Adjustment Handle

on the bottom of the Booster Base and

push the Rigid LATCH/UAS Connectors

5. Remove the Booster Seat from the vehicle.

Seat Pad: 1. Disconnect the loops on each side of the

· UTILÍCELO SÓLO EN NIÑOS QUE PESEN ENTRE 18 Y 54 KG (40 Y 120 LB), CUYA ESTATURA ESTÉ COMPRENDIDA ENTRE 110 Y 152 CM (43,3 Y 60 IN) Y QUE TENGAN 4 AÑOS O MÁS. El uso de este asiento elevador con un niño que no cumpla TODOS estos requisitos puede aumentar el riesgo de muerte o de lesiones graves.

· USE este asiento elevador ORIENTADO HACIA ADELANTE SOLAMENTE.

Los asientos elevadores elevan al niño y ayudan a colocar correctamente el cinturón para regazo y hombro del vehículo. Cuando el niño está debidamente sujeto en un asiento elevador, el riesgo de lesión en todos los tipos de choques se reduce. Es importante que el niño quede correctamente sentado con los cinturones del vehículo. Cuando el cinturón de seguridad del vehículo está abrochado:

· Coloque la guía del cinturón de hombro EN o JUSTO POR ENCIMA los hombros del niño de modo que el cinturón de hombro pase a través de la guía del cinturón de hombro A, a través del centro del hombro del niño B, y cómodamente a través del punto medio del pecho del niño C.

Normas de uso para el niño Aspectos que deben tenerse en cuenta al decidir si un niño está preparado para sentarse en un asiento elevador: · El peso y la estatura del niño, y la clasificación de peso y estatura de su asiento infantil
actual. · La edad y madurez del niño (¿es lo bastante maduro para sentarse en el asiento
elevador y no ponerse los cinturones bajo el brazo o a la espalda?). · Las plazas de asiento disponibles en su vehículo.
El asiento elevador requiere un procedimiento muy similar al uso normal del cinturón de seguridad en el vehículo: · Lea el manual del propietario del vehículo y el manual del propietario del asiento
elevador antes de empezar. · Coloque el asiento elevador en el asiento trasero en un lugar con cinturón de regazo
y hombro. · La altura es de entre 110 y 152 cm (43,3 y 60 in)

· 4 años de edad o mayor

· La parte superior de las orejas del niño (línea roja) debe estar POR DEBAJO DE de la parte superior del reposacabezas (línea azul)

· Guía del cinturón de hombro colocado EN o JUSTO POR

El LATCH/SAU rígido se utiliza ÚNICAMENTE para estabilizar el asiento elevador en el asiento del vehículo. El cinturón de hombro y regazo del vehículo es necesario para sujetar al niño en el asiento elevador.

· El reposacabezas del vehículo NO DEBE INTERFERIR con el respaldo del asiento elevador. Consulte el manual del propietario del vehículo para el ajuste o la posible retirada del reposacabezas del vehículo.
Advertencias sobre la ubicación

El sistema de protección lineal contra impactos laterales (L.S.P.) de su Solution G2 permite reducir gradualmente las fuerzas de una colisión lateral para ayudar a minimizar las lesiones.
El Solution G2 se entrega con los soportes L.S.P. instalados. NO utilice el asiento de bebé para el automóvil sin el L.S.P. instalado.
Para desmontar los apoyos L.S.P:

A veces un vástago de hebilla más largo interferirá con el recorrido del cinturón. Si este es el caso, intente una posición diferente del asiento del vehículo.

· NUNCA COLOQUE ninguna parte del cinturón del vehículo por encima de la parte superior de los reposabrazos.

· NUNCA PERMITA a su niño que se deslice hacia abajo (se encorve) en el asiento elevador. Esto podría colocar el cinturón de regazo sobre el abdomen del niño y hacer que el cinturón de hombro esté en contacto con el cuello del niño.

Cómo asegurar su niño
Para asegurar apropiadamente a su niño en el asiento elevador:
1. Deslice el cinturón de hombro entre la almohadilla lateral y el reposacabezas y pase el cinturón de hombro por la guía VERDE del cinturón de hombro.

Como retirar y reemplazar las cubiertas del asiento

· NUNCA use este asiento elevador sin las cubiertas de tela debidamente instaladas.

· NO dañe, quite o deseche el acojinado de espuma del reposacabezas o las almohadillas laterales de este asiento elevador. Cada pieza de espuma se diseñó para absorber la energía en caso de choque.

La cubierta del asiento consta de cuatro partes: la cubierta del reposacabezas reclinable, la cubierta del reposacabezas, la cubierta del respaldo/almohadilla lateral y la almohadilla del asiento. Siga los pasos de las páginas 33 a 35 para extraer estos componentes.
