This manual provides essential information for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your scale inhibitor system.

4. Sazkirin û Sazkirin

Follow these steps for proper installation of your Waterdrop scale inhibitor system. It is recommended to install this system on a cold water supply line that feeds a water heater or other appliances you wish to protect.

4.1. Lîsteya Kontrola Pêş-Sazkirinê

  • Ensure you have all components: 3/4" NPT inlet/outlet connection, replacement cartridge.
  • Gather necessary tools: pipe wrench, Teflon tape, pipe cutter (if modifying existing pipes).

  • Drain water from the pipes by opening a faucet at the lowest point in your home.

  5. Install the Filter Cartridge: Screw the Waterdrop WD-W65 replacement cartridge into the downward-facing port of the T-fitting. Hand-tighten until snug, then use a filter wrench if necessary, but do not overtighten.
  6. Vegerandina Dabînkirina Avê: Slowly turn on the main water supply. Check all connections for leaks. If leaks occur, turn off the water, re-tape, and re-tighten the connections.
  7. Sîstemê Paqij Bike: Open a nearby cold water faucet and let the water run for approximately 5-10 minutes to flush out any air or loose polyphosphate particles from the system.

5. Operasyon

The Waterdrop scale inhibitor operates passively once installed. A portion of the source water flows through the filter, absorbing food-grade polyphosphates which then circulate throughout your plumbing system to inhibit scale formation.

  • The 3/4" NPT inlet/outlet ensures a high flow rate of 10 GPM, maintaining stable water pressure throughout your home.
  • The system does not significantly restrict water flow, ensuring consistent water delivery to all your fixtures and appliances.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance, primarily cartridge replacement, is essential to ensure the continued effectiveness of your Waterdrop scale inhibitor system.

6.1. Replacement Cartridge

Each water cartridge is designed to last for approximately 6 months under regular use. Actual lifespan may vary based on local water quality and usage.
