2.1. PROGRAMMING REMOTES TO THE RECEIVER

  1. Powering the Receiver: To program a new remote to the receiver, first provide the appropriate supply voltage to the receiver card, making it operational.
  2. Initial LED Signals: Upon powering the receiver, the LED on the card will blink a certain number of times to provide a status update:
    • 3 Blinks: Indicates that no remote has been programmed to the control card.
    • 1 Blink: Indicates that a remote has already been programmed to the control card.
  3. Programming Button: The receiver card has a single button, which allows programming a new remote or erasing all previously programmed remotes. To enter the programming mode, press and hold the button for approximately 2 seconds until the LED lights up, then release it. When the receiver enters programming mode, the LED will stay on for about 10 seconds. During this time, press the desired button on the remote control to program it. When the receiver successfully learns the remote, the LED will blink once. If it fails to learn the remote, the receiver will exit programming mode, and the LED will turn off.
  4. Exiting Programming Mode: Once programming is complete, you can exit programming mode by either pressing the programming button again or pressing the same channel on the most recently programmed remote. If no further actions are taken within 10 seconds, the receiver will automatically exit programming mode.
  5. Programming with 2-Channel Receivers (EKA2 Model): In the EKA2 model, programming a remote to one channel will automatically assign the subsequent remote channels to the other relays. For instance, if you program the first button of a 3-channel remote, the receiver’s first relay will respond to this button. The second button will then control the second relay. If you teach the second button during programming mode, the second button will control relay 1, and the third button will control relay 2. Teaching the third button only enables control of relay 1.
Programmed Button Relay Control System
1st Button Programmed 1st Button: Relay 1, 2nd Button: Relay 2
2nd Button Programmed 2nd Button: Relay 1, 3rd Button: Relay 2
3rd Button Programmed 3rd Button: Only Relay 1

2.2. ACTIVATING “REMOTE LEARNING” MODE FOR THE EKA CARD
This feature allows adding new remotes to the system without manual intervention on the EKA card.
Follow these steps:

  1. Prerequisite: The receiver must have learned at least one remote beforehand.
  2. Activating Remote Learning Mode: Press and hold both the 1st and 2nd channels (buttons) of a previously learned remote simultaneously.
  3. Holding Duration: Maintain this for approximately 2-3 seconds.
  4. Indication of Remote Learning Mode: When the receiver enters remote learning mode, the LED on the card will light up, indicating readiness to learn a new remote.
  5. Programming the New Remote: Press the desired button on the new remote that you wish to program.
  6. Exiting Remote Learning Mode: To exit remote learning mode, you can;
    • Press the programming button on the receiver card.
    • If no new remote is programmed within 10 seconds of teaching the last remote, the system will automatically exit learning mode.

2.3. DELETING ALL REMOTES FROM RECEIVER MEMORY

  1. Disconnect Power: Remove power from the receiver card
  2. Press and Hold Button: With the receiver powered off, press and hold the programming button on the receiver card.
  3. Reconnect Power: While holding the button, supply the power to the receiver. Keep holding the button for approximately 2 seconds. The LED will blink 3 times, indicating that all programmed remotes have been erased from memory.

2.4. SETTING THE OPERATING MODE
The operating modes for the relays can be set using the jumpers on the EKA receiver card.

  • JP2 controls Relay 1, while JP3 controls Relay 2.
  • Pulse Mode (default if jumper is not installed): Relay remains active for 0.3 seconds before deactivating.
  • Toggle Mode (jumper installed): Relay remains active upon receiving a command and stays in that state until another command is received to change its state. This functionality is identical for both JP2 and JP3 jumpers.
