With r q the choice changes from END to Con Tinue. By conﬁrming Con Tinue mit s the time switch returns s to the beginning of the current (sub-) menu.

Channel ON / OFF H

If you want to program a standard weekly switching time (ON / OFF ) conﬁrm Standard with s .
For regular switching times choose ON or OFF with r q -buttons and conﬁrm with s .

Within this level you activate the days of the week (1…7) on which the switching time should happen. With r q -buttons you activate yes or deactivate No the corresponding date. Conﬁrm each date with s .
If you want to proceed with programming, conﬁrm Next Switching with s .
To leave the programming menu change with r q to End and conﬁrm with s .

Special program Entry (within yearly time switches)

The yearly function of the switch is realised by special (weekly) programs which can be called up by date. Up to 10 special (weekly) programs can be entered ().

Some rules for the programming of Special programs

Deﬁne the program number in which the new step will be an element before a new switching step is entered. (SP 01 – SP 10)

The number of switching times which can be programmed in each special program is only limited by the total number of free memory locations: (SP on, SP off, SP cycle, SP pulse)
The dates/times of the year during which the special program should be applied can be entered within the activation menu (point 15).

Each special program can be activated as often as there are memory locations are available (point 15).
During the activation dates of special programs only switching steps of the special program with highest priority will be executed. Remaining special and standard programs are disabled.

Please note the priorities of the different switching programs (point 23).

15. Special program activation by date (within yearly time switches)

A special program will only be executed if it is activated. You can choose the special program (SP 01 – SP 10), the start/end time (date and time) for activation and additionally following options:

For the cycle function it is possibile to enter a periodic switching time. The time switch acts as a recycling timer and switches between pulse (ON) and pause (OFF). The max. value for pulse and pause is 9:59:59 h:mm:ss.
If you haven’t deﬁned and activated a cycle, the cycle function will not be available as switching time. Therefore you have to activate and deﬁne at least one of the four cycles within menu Options and sub-menu Cy CLE (point 17).
The cycle switching time will be terminated by another switching time (on , of f , pulse ) or by another cycle switching time.

The pulse function provides you the opportunity of programming a switching time with a deﬁned duration. As soon as the pulse-duration has expired the time switch switches OFF automatically (the duration of the pulse is up to 59:59 mm: ss).

Deﬁne the on time (Time hour / time Minute ).
Deﬁne the days of the week for your pulse switching time.
Deﬁne the duty cycle (Pulse Minute / pulse Second ).

Permanent program

The permanent by date program (holiday program) is a permanently on or off status of the channel for the programmed dates. The number of switching times is only limited by the total number of free memory locations. Adjust channel, switching function and the start/end time (date and time). The following options are additionally available for the permanent by date program (within yearly time switches):

The external input can be connected to a switched contact such as a push-button or light switch. Therefore you can activate and de-activate functions from a remote location or automatically from a control system:

EXTERNAL INPUT 1: A switch or pushbutton can be connected to EXT 1: Terminal 6 (Voltage EXT 1 = Supply voltage of the time switch)

Functional options of the „external input“:
Within menu Options and sub-menu Input you have to deﬁne if a switch or a push-button-signal will be applied to the external input.
Furthermore you can choose the channel(s) which react to the external signal:

Using the r q -buttons to select if you are connecting a pushbutton or a switch and conﬁrm by pressing s .

Select the channel(s) which will be controlled by the external signal with the r q -buttons (channel … yes ) and conﬁrm by pressing s . Channels which should not be controlled by the external signal remain deactivated (channel … No ). Then press s to conﬁrm.

External Input Switch / Pushbutton

You have the option of specifying the functionality of the individual channels. If you have assigned one of the functions to the channel, you can use a trigger signal at the external input (switch or pushbutton, if activated). You can deﬁne one of the following functions for each channel:

Perm of f : An external Input (switch) switches the time switch permanently OFF . This switching state is started and ended by pressing the switch.
Sp- AcT ivaT ion : An external Input (switch) switches the time switch according to the special program ON / OFF .

This setting has a review, i.e. if the external input signal is deactivated, the saved standard switching program becomes active.

Timer-FuncT ion : The corresponding channel is switched on by an extemal input signal and the timer starts. After the timer time has expired, the channel switches or . Another press of the pushbutton, when the timer is active, also switches on .
sT aircase lighT ing: The corresponding channel is switched ON by an external input signal and the timer starts. After the timer time has expired, the channel switches OFF .
If the channel receives another signal, while the timer is active, the time switch reacts as follows:

reseTT able: External input signal (pushbutton) = Timer is switched off
wiT chad of + : External input signal (pushbutton) = Timer is restarted

Switch off warning:

In the menu Options you will ﬁnd the sub-menu Advance Warning . You can make the following settings:

No : The function remains inactive.
Y es : The function is activated and the switch off is signalled in advance (For illumination purposes the warning is signaled by the ﬂashing of the light according DIN 18015-2 = warning to avoid sudden darkness).

Priorities of the switching programs

Standard switching times, Special programs, Extra switching times and Permanent by date are executed according to their corresponding priority (by channel and date).
All switching programs except Extra switching times, suspend all other switching programs with lower priority:

Astro function

The astro function allows you to switch the whole year through in relation to sunset and sunrise, e.g. for illumination purposes (AsT ro-On with sunset and AsT ro-of f) with sunrise). While programming an astro programm step there will be no daytime (hh: ss) suggested. Instead of this you have to enter an offset.
Additionally, with NIghT -Of f and NIghT -On can be deﬁned a period for switching the time switch OFF / ON.

Within the menu sETTINGs you have the option to use the astro function for the different channels.
After activation you have the two options:

AsT ro preprogrammed YES : There will be created an Astro-ON and an Astro-OFF switching time with offset 00 for all weekdays.
AsT ro preprogrammed NO : The astro function is now available when programming a new switching program for the selected channel.

If the astro function is activated, existing switching times for the selected channel are deleted.
