Component Instruction
The VCM36-W features the following components:
- Mute Button: Used to mute or unmute the microphone.
- USB-C Port: For connecting to power and data.
- Battery LED Indicator: Shows battery status.
- Mute LED Indicator: Shows mute status and pairing status.
- Charging contact: For placing on the charging cradle.
Charging the VCM36-W
Connect the VCM36-W to the Charger VCMB360 using the USB-C cable. The LED indicator will show:
- Charging: Red light
- Fully Charged: Green light
Powering On/Off
- To power on the VCM36-W, long-tap the mute button for 5 seconds. The battery LED indicator flashes green and then turns off.
- To power off the VCM36-W, long-tap the mute button for 15 seconds. The battery LED indicator flashes red and then turns off.
Pairing the VCM36-W
Pairing Directly
- Connect the USB-C port on the VCM36-W to the USB port on the video conference system/UVC camera/AVHub using the USB-C cable.
- During pairing, the Mute LED indicator will flash yellow rapidly. The display device will show a message indicating successful pairing.
- Disconnect the cable; the VCM36-W is now ready for use.
Pairing by Yealink RoomConnect Software
- Connect the USB-C port on the VCM36-W to a PC using the USB-C cable.
- Connect the Video Out port of the UVC camera/AVHub to the same PC using a USB-B cable.
- Run the Yealink RoomConnect software on the PC.
- After successful pairing, the VCM36-W will appear in the Yealink RoomConnect software.
- Disconnect the cable; the VCM36-W is now ready for use.
Note: Currently, only wired pairing is available.
Muting or Unmuting the VCM36-W
- Tap the mute button to mute the microphone. The mute LED indicator will glow red.
- Tap the mute button again to unmute it.
LED Instruction
Mute LED Indicator
| LED Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Solid red | The VCM36-W is muted. |
| Solid green | The VCM36-W is unmuted. |
| Fast flashing yellow | The VCM36-W is pairing. |
| Flashing yellow | The VCM36-W is searching for signal. |
| Flashing green | Ringing (incoming call). |
| Flashing red and green alternately | The paired device is looking for the microphone. |
| Off | The VCM36-W is in standby mode or powered off. |
Battery LED Indicator
| LED Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Solid red | Charging. |
| Solid green | Fully charged. |
| Slowly flashing red | Battery capacity is less than 20%. |
| Fast flashing red 3 times and then off | Battery capacity is too low to power on the VCM36-W. |
| Solid green for 3 seconds and then off | The VCM36-W is standby. |
| Solid green for one second and then off | The VCM36-W is powered on. |
| Off | The VCM36-W is in standby mode or powered off. |
Note: When the VCM36-W is not used for a while, it enters standby mode. You can wake it up by tapping the Mute button or placing it in the charging cradle. After wake-up, it returns to its previous state.
Upgrading the VCM36-W
If the video conferencing system or UVC camera has integrated wireless microphone firmware, the VCM36-W will upgrade automatically after successful pairing. Otherwise, it will upgrade via the video conferencing system's web interface. Ensure the VCM36-W has sufficient power before upgrading.

Environmental Requirements
- Place the product on a stable, level, and non-slip surface.
- Do not place near heat sources, in direct sunlight, or near appliances with strong magnetic or electromagnetic fields (e.g., microwave ovens, refrigerators).
- Keep away from water, dust, and chemicals. Protect from aggressive liquids and vapors.
- Do not place on or near flammable or fire-vulnerable objects (e.g., rubber materials).
- Do not install in high humidity rooms (e.g., bathrooms, laundry rooms, wet basements).
Safety Notes During Operation
- Use only Yealink-supplied or authorized spare parts and accessories.
- Do not place heavy objects on the handset or base station.
- Do not attempt self-repair; contact authorized service personnel.
- Keep small accessories out of reach of children.
- Ensure hands are dry when plugging/unplugging cables.
- Do not hold the handset to your ear when speakerphone is on or ringing.
- Disconnect during thunderstorms.
- Disconnect from power if unused for extended periods.
- Disconnect immediately if smoke, abnormal noise, or smell occurs.
- Pull the power adapter, not the cord, to disconnect.
Battery Precautions
- Do not immerse the battery in water.
- Do not expose the battery to flame or extreme heat.
- Power off the handset before removing the battery.
- Use only the provided rechargeable battery pack or Yealink-recommended ones.
- Do not open or mutilate the battery.
- Dispose of defective batteries according to regulations, not as municipal waste.
Cleaning Instructions
- Stop use and disconnect power before cleaning the base station.
- Remove the battery before cleaning the handset.
- Clean with a slightly moist, anti-static cloth.
- Keep the power plug clean and dry.
Environmental Disposal
Do not dispose of the device with domestic waste. Recycle according to local regulations. The crossed-out garbage bin symbol indicates special disposal is required.
Troubleshooting
- Unit cannot supply power: Check plug connection, try a different outlet, ensure the environment is within operating temperature range, verify cable connection, and clean the port if dusty.
- Cable connection issues: Ensure the correct Yealink device and power supply are used.
