LED Indicator Guide
- Solid Blue: The extender/adapter is in a proper position and receiving a strong signal from your router.
- Solid Yellow: The extender/adapter is receiving a good signal from your router.
- Solid Red: The extender/adapter is receiving a weak signal from your router. Please relocate it closer to your router for better performance.
- Blinking Red Slowly: The extender/adapter is powered on, but setup is not completed or it fails to receive any signal from your router. Please relocate it closer to your router or set it up again.
- Blinking Blue Fast: The extender/adapter is pairing with your existing router via the WPS method. Please wait until the pairing completes.
Device Overview
- Reset button: Used to reset the device to factory defaults.
- WPS button: Used for Wi-Fi Protected Setup.
- Gigabit Ethernet port: For connecting wired devices like smart TVs, computers, or game consoles.
Working Mode 1: Set Up as a WiFi Extender
- Power on: Plug the extender into a power outlet in the same room as your existing WiFi router. Wait until the LED indicator blinks red slowly.
- Connect to Your Existing WiFi Network:
- Method 1: Via Web Management Interface
- Connect your WiFi device to the default WiFi network:
BrosTrend_EXT, or connect your computer to the extender's Ethernet port using an Ethernet cable. - Open a web browser and navigate to
brostrendwifi.comor192.168.0.254. - Create a login password for future access.
- Select "Extender Mode" and click "Next".
- Choose the WiFi network you want to extend and enter its password.
- Customize the extended WiFi name (SSID) and password. Click "Extend".
- Verify the extender connects successfully by checking the LED indicator status. A solid light indicates success.
- Connect your WiFi device to the default WiFi network:
- Method 2: Via WPS Button (Applicable if your router has a WPS button)
- Power on the extender and wait for the LED indicator to blink red.
- Press the WPS button on your router.
- Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on the extender. The LED indicator will blink blue rapidly.
- Wait for the LED indicator to turn solid, indicating a successful connection.
- After WPS pairing, connect your wireless device to the newly extended networks and visit
www.brostrendwifi.comto set a login password for enhanced security.
- Method 1: Via Web Management Interface
- Relocate: For optimal performance, place the extender halfway between your WiFi router and the dead zone, ensuring it's within the router's range. Keep it away from devices that cause strong interference (e.g., microwave ovens, induction cookers, refrigerators).
Working Mode 2: Set Up as a Universal WiFi to Ethernet Adapter
- Follow the setup steps for Working Mode 1.
- Connect your wired device to the adapter using an Ethernet cable.
- Ensure your wired device's IP address and DNS server settings are configured to "AUTO OBTAIN" (DHCP).
LED Indicator Status for Adapter Mode:
- Solid Blue: Strong signal
- Solid Yellow: Good signal
- Solid Red: Weak signal
Working Mode 3: Set Up as a Wireless Access Point
- Power on: Plug the access point into a power outlet and wait for the LED indicator to blink red slowly.
- Create Your Wireless Access Point Network:
- Connect your WiFi device to the default WiFi network:
BrosTrend_EXT, or connect your computer to the access point's Ethernet port with an Ethernet cable. - Open a web browser and navigate to
brostrendwifi.comor192.168.0.254. - Create a login password for future access.
- Select "AP Mode" and click "Next".
- Customize the WiFi name and password. Click "Save" and wait for the LED light to blink red slowly.
- Connect your WiFi device to the default WiFi network:
- Connect to the Internet: Connect the access point to an Internet-enabled Ethernet port or LAN port of your router using an Ethernet cable.
Note: A solid blue LED indicator signifies a successful Internet connection. If not, reset the access point and try again.
