F. How to Use Advanced Functions

Swing Function

Press the Swing button. The horizontal louver swings automatically. Press again to stop. Holding the button for over 2 seconds activates vertical louver swing (model dependent).

Airflow Function

Press the DIRECT button to adjust the louver direction by 6° increments. Continue pressing until the desired direction is reached.

LED Display

Press the LED DISPLAY button to turn the indoor unit's display and buzzer on/off. Holding the button for over 5 seconds displays the actual room temperature; holding it again for over 5 seconds reverts to the set temperature display.

ECO Function (some units)

Press the ECO button in COOL mode for energy efficiency. The remote controller automatically adjusts the temperature to 24°C/75°F with Auto fan speed for energy saving (if the set temperature is below 24°C/75°F). If the set temperature is above 24°C/75°F, fan speed changes to Auto, and the set temperature remains unchanged.

NOTE: Pressing ECO, changing mode, or setting the temperature below 24°C/75°F will stop ECO operation. For optimal ECO use, the set temperature should be 24°C/75°F or above. This may result in insufficient cooling. If uncomfortable, press ECO again to stop.

SHORTCUT Function (some units)

Press the SHORT CUT button to restore current or previous settings, including operating mode, temperature, fan speed, and sleep feature.

SLEEP Function

The SLEEP function reduces energy consumption during sleep. It can only be activated via remote control and is not available in Fan or Dry mode. Refer to the OWNER'S MANUAL for details.

Silence Function

Keep pressing the Fan button for over 2 seconds to activate/disable the Silence function (some units). Due to low-frequency compressor operation, cooling and heating capacity may be insufficient. Pressing ON/OFF, Mode, Sleep, Turbo, or Clean will cancel Silence function.

FP Function

In HEAT mode, press this button twice within one second and set the temperature to 16°C/60°F or 20°C/68°F (some units). The unit will operate at high fan speed with the temperature automatically set to 8°C/46°F. This function is for heat pump air conditioners only. Pressing On/Off, Sleep, Mode, Fan, or Temp buttons will cancel this function.
