Introduction & Tips for Use

This document provides instructions for the WE.LOCK TOUCAEBL51 smart lock.

Tips for Use: ⚠️

1. Upon receiving the lock, set your administrator password first. Note: Before setting the admin password, the smart lock is in default factory settings, allowing any password, fingerprint, or card to unlock it.

2. The smart lock handle may rotate 360° before receiving the correct unlock command; this is normal operation.

Product Overview & Components

The TOUCAEBL51 is a smart lock designed for various door types.

Product Components:

• Front handle: Features a keypad, fingerprint sensor, LED indicator, and Enter/Cancel buttons. Any key press can wake up the panel.
• Lock cylinder: Includes a Product ID and Cam.
• Emergency power input: A USB (Type-C) port on the front handle for emergency unlocking via a power bank and the welock app.
• Rear handle screw.

LED Indicator States:

• Wake up: Blue
• Adding: Green
• Wrong: Red
• Unlock: Green
• Lock: White

Installation

Applicable Door Dimensions:

The lock is suitable for doors with a thickness of 55-95mm. The lock cylinder should measure approximately 33mm (outer) and 17mm (inner), with a total length of at least 40mm.

• Allen key * 1
• Fixing screw for battery cover * 2
• Front handling screw * 2
• Silicone plug * 2

Install Battery:

1. Loosen the screws with the Allen key.
2. Open the metal case.
3. Open the battery cover.
4. Insert 3 * AAA batteries (not included in package). Note: Keep mind the battery polarity. Do not mix old and new batteries.
5. Fix the battery cover and tighten the screws.

Adjusting the length of the lock cylinder:

Adjust the internal and external length by loosening the screw with an inner hexagon spanner and pulling out the handle as needed. If necessary, use an extended lock cylinder piece and tighten the screw after adjustment. Plug the adjusting hole with a silicone plug for waterproofing.

Installation Pictures:

1. Remove the fixing screw and original cylinder.
2. Take out the screws and remove the rear handle.
3. Install the lock cylinder into the lock hole from the outside.
4. Install fixing screws.
5. Install the rear handle.
6. Fix the rear handle screw.

Note: Due to security reasons, the front handle cannot be taken off.

Setting Operation

1. Modify the Admin Passcode:

1. Press any button to wake up the lock.
2. Press [Lock icon].
3. Enter the current admin passcode.
4. Enter the default passcode (123456).
5. Enter the current admin passcode again.
6. Enter the new admin passcode (6-10 digits).
7. Enter the new admin passcode again.
8. Press [Lock icon].

2. Add Admin:

1. Press any button to wake up the lock.
2. Press [Lock icon].
3. Enter the admin passcode.
4. Verify admin by entering the passcode or using a registered card/fingerprint.
5. Press 1.
6. Choose to add:
• Passcode: Enter new passcode (6-10 digits).
• Card: Swipe the RFID card.
• Fingerprint: Enter fingerprint 5 times.
7. Press the admin passcode (6-10 digits).
8. Press the new admin passcode again.

3. Add User:

1. Press any button to wake up the lock.
2. Press [Lock icon].
3. Enter the admin passcode.
4. Verify admin by entering the passcode or using a registered card/fingerprint.
5. Press 2.
6. Choose to add:
• Passcode: Enter new passcode (6-10 digits).
• Card: Swipe the RFID card.
• Fingerprint: Enter fingerprint 5 times.
7. Press the passcode (6-10 digits).
8. Press the new passcode again.

Capacity Limits:

• The administrator can register up to 10 items (fingerprints, passwords, smart cards). Example: 4 admin fingerprints, 4 admin passwords, 2 admin smart cards, totaling 10 items.
• Total capacity limits: Fingerprints ≤ 100 pcs, Passwords ≤ 200 pcs, Smart cards ≤ 199 pcs, Total items (fingerprints + passwords + smart cards) ≤ 200 pcs.

Status Indicators:

• Successful fingerprint recognition: Blue light.
• Failure fingerprint recognition: Red light.

4. Clean All User:

1. Press any button to wake up the lock.
2. Press [Lock icon].
3. Enter the admin passcode.
4. Verify admin by entering the passcode or using a registered card/fingerprint.
5. Press 3.
6. The lock will respond with "beep beep beep" (3 times).

5. Restore Factory Defaults:

1. Press any button to wake up the lock.
2. Press [Lock icon].
3. Enter the admin passcode.
4. Verify admin by entering the passcode or using a registered card/fingerprint.
5. Press 4.
6. The lock will respond with "beep beep beep" (4 times).

6. Vacation Mode ON:

1. Press any button to wake up the lock.
2. Enter passcode or swipe card/fingerprint.
3. Press any button.
4. Press any button.
5. Enter passcode.
6. Press [Lock icon].

7. Vacation Mode OFF:

1. Press any button to wake up the lock.
2. Enter passcode or swipe card/fingerprint.
3. Press [Lock icon].

8. Silent Mode ON / OFF:

1. Press any button to wake up the lock.
2. Press 2.
3. Press 1.
4. Press [Lock icon].

Operation

Unlock and lock the door from outside:

Press the [Keypad icon] (e.g., 123 456 + [Lock icon]). The keyboard lights up. Enter the correct passcode to unlock.

Security Note: Entering the wrong passcode 5 times in a row will lock the smart lock for 90 seconds, during which it cannot be operated.

Press any key to wake up: The fingerprint sensor and keypad can be activated by pressing any key.

USB Emergency Backup Key:

Open the QR code cover on the front handle. Use the USB (Type-C) port to power the lock with a power bank. Connect the welock App to unlock automatically.

Handle Rotation: The knob can be rotated 360° freely after the lock is engaged. This is designed to protect the lock from damage due to forceful torsion.

Low Battery Prompt: ⚠️ When the power is less than 3.7V, the red light will flash 5 times accompanied by buzzer rings as a warning.

App Connectivity

Bluetooth Activation and Login Instructions:

Scan the QR code on the lock to access downloadable instructions and watch videos. For support, email: service@welockglobal.com.

App Download:

Select "Android/iOS" to download the welock app from your respective app store (e.g., Google Play or Apple App Store).

Log in to the app:

1. Select your country/region.
2. Enter your phone number or email address to receive a verification code.
3. Click "Send".
4. Enter the verification code received via message.
5. Click "Login".

Bind the device:

1. In the welock app, tap "Add device" and then "Add Lock".
2. The app may request camera access to scan the QR code. Tap "OK" to proceed.
3. Grant camera permission if prompted.
4. Scan the QR code located on the lock or on the packing box.
5. Follow the on-screen prompts, typically tapping "Bind the lock..." and then "Tab Bind Lock".

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How can I know the lock is out of power?

When the power is less than 3.7V, the red light will flash 5 times with the buzzer rings.

Does the lock knob still work after I replaced the lock?

Yes, if only the cylinder is replaced. It will not affect the other functions of the original lock.

Will it read slowly or fail to recognize the fingerprint after long time using?

No. The fingerprint sensor has a special protective film on it to maintain performance.

Is it complicated to set?

Follow the instructions provided or search for the welock setup video through YouTube. If you have any questions, please contact customer service.

If we install all the houses' doors with We.Lock, can we use the phone APP to unlock all of it?

Yes, you can. One phone can manage many different locks. Just remember to name each lock for easy identification.
