No, it is recommended to connect the USB receiver directly to the computer's USB port.

Use the button on the bottom of the mouse to toggle between modes as shown in Step E.
How do I activate pairing mode?
For 2.4 GHz, press the button as shown in Step C. For Bluetooth, press the button for 3-5 seconds as shown in Step D.
