DEVI Connect Components and Communication Map
The DEVI Connect gateway communicates zigbee to your zigbee enabled devices and broadcasts to the cloud via LAN connection to router. Your internet connected phone with DEVI Connect App can control your devices from anywhere.
The Zigbee connection between the DEVI Connect gateway and the thermostats is wireless, so it’s important to position the gateway correctly. Avoid placing it too close to metal objects (e.g., radiators) or inside enclosed spaces. When powered on, the Zigbee thermostats also function as repeaters, extend the system’s wireless range (see below).
Settings and adjustments for thermostats and DEVI Connect system
Operating Modes for DEVI Thermostats with Bluetooth and Zigbee
DEVI thermostats can be used in three different modes:
- Fit & Forget (Default Mode)
- Simply install the thermostat and use the dial to set the temperature manually.
- No app required.
- Local Control via Bluetooth (using the DEVI Control App)

Important Information for Zigbee Mode (Commissioning)
When the thermostat is used in Zigbee mode, all commissioning (installer/advanced setup) must be done via Bluetooth with the DEVI Control App.
The following settings can only be configured through Bluetooth:
- Floor type (Default: Hardwood, 28 °C)
- Sensor type (Default: 15 kΩ)
- Control mode (Combined, Floor, or Room with breakout)
- Smart Preheating (On/Off)
- Temperature limits (Minimum & Maximum)

- These settings are saved directly in the thermostat.
- They are not visible in the DEVI Connect Zigbee App.
- To change them later:
- Switch the thermostat to Bluetooth mode.
- Open the DEVI Control App and adjust the settings.
- Switch the thermostat back to Zigbee mode.

The DEVI Connect gateway complies with EN 18031-1, the European harmonized standard that supports the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) by setting cybersecurity and data protection requirements for wireless communication devices.
To ensure compliance and protect both the device and its users, the following guidelines must be followed:

Download the “DEVI Connect” App from Google Play or App Store

To enable smartphone control, your DEVI Connect gateway needs to be connected to the mains power and the Ethernet. Use the cables provided with the DEVI Connect Gateway

- Connect your DEVI Connect to the network.
- Make sure your mobile device is connected to Wi-Fi from the same router as the gateway is connected to with the cable.

- In case of unsuccessful connection, press and hold the “Reset” button for 5 seconds until the LED starts blinking, then release the button and repeat connection.

- Follow the step-by-step wizard by pressing the thermostat you want to pair. Quick pairing is possible at this screen. Ensure your thermostat is in zigbee mode (To switch between Bluetooth->Zigbee or Zigbee->Bluetooth: press and hold reset button for 5 seconds until radio symbol starts blinking. Release after 1-2 blinks).
Activate pairing sequence on thermostat by pressing reset button (1 second). The radio symbol will flash red for about 2 minutes. If the pairing stopped, try again by pressing reset button for 1 sec.

Press and hold the gateway button for more than 5 seconds to reset the device. After the initialization of the device is completed, the device will on distribution network state again, and repeat the step of [Add device]
