Before using the KeeprTM device or mobile app, please review the following device specifications and safety instructions:
Device Specifications
KeeprTM is a personal breathalyzer device that analyzes breath samples from users to estimate the level of alcohol in their body. KeeprTM uses a combination of this breath alcohol measuring device and a paired mobile app interface to capture, track, and share your breath samples with authorized contacts.

This User Guide and all provided manuals, instructions, and warnings should be read and fully understood by the user before using this device. Failure to follow the instructions, warnings, and safety precautions can result in serious injury or death. 02 KeeprTM cannot determine a user’s exact BAC and should not be relied upon for such purposes.
03 Charge KeeprTM only with a charger that meets the device specifications section above to avoid damage to the device.
04 DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE. Always have a designated driver when alcohol is being consumed.
05 DO NOT. use KeeprTM as a tool to determine whether you or anyone else should operate a motor vehicle, machinery, or perform any other dangerous act. Driving may be impaired even at BrAC readings below the legal limit.
06 DO NOT. use the KeeprTM device or app while operating a motor vehicle.
07 READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS prior to use. Failure to do so can result in inaccurate results.
08 DO NOT take a reading within 20 minutes of eating, drinking, or using products that contain alcohol to avoid inaccurate results. Products containing alcohol include items like alcohol-based mouthwash and hand sanitizer.
09 WAIT at least 3 minutes between readings to avoid inaccurate results.
10 DO NOT cover the exhaust to avoid damage to the product and/or inaccurate results.
11 DO NOT USE or STORE KeeprTM in temperatures below 41° F (5° C) or above 104° F (40° C) to prevent damage to the product and/or inaccurate results.
12 DO NOT KeeprTM take a sample in areas with strong winds or poor air quality to prevent inaccurate results.

13 DO NOT USE or STORE KeeprTM in ambient humidity below 10% or above 95% to prevent damage to the product and/or inaccurate results.
14 DO NOT clean with alcohol-based products. Residual alcohol can lead to inaccurate results.
15 DO NOT submerge KeeprTM in water or place in the dishwasher to prevent damage to the product.
16 DO NOT drop KeeprTM to prevent damage to the product.

Use only the provided USB-C charging cable in the USB-C port.
DO NOT use charging cable if it is damaged or frayed.

Individuals with allergies to plastics should not use the device.
This device uses a lithium-ion battery. Do not allow the liquid from the battery to come in contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice.
The detachable mouthpiece contains a magnet. Ingesting magnets can cause serious injury or death. Seek immediate medical attention if magnets are swallowed or inhaled.

Pairing Your Device with the YourKeepr App

Launch the YourKeepr app and tap on Pair a Device to start the device pairing process.

Press and hold the button on the bottom of the KeeprTM device for 5 seconds to enter pairing mode. The device identification number appears on the screen when the device is in pairing mode.

When “Keepr” followed by the device ID number appears on your phone under available devices, select Pair next to the device number.

When the pairing request appears on the screen, press Pair.
If a Bluetooth connection is established successfully, the screen on the KeeprTM device displays the Bluetooth Connected icon, and the name of the device is displayed on the list of paired devices in the app and you are now ready to record BrAC samples using the app.

Contact Types and Definitions
Contacts
Contacts are users who you can share data with, including test requests, test results, and live location. You control what information each contact can access by managing sharing conditions for each contact.
Authorized Contacts
Authorized Contacts are a specific contact type with admin privileges that allow them to view test results, send sample requests, and assign custom testing schedules for Monitored Users. All Authorized Contacts have the following admin privileges, which cannot be changed except by revoking their admin privileges:
Authorized Contacts will see the users who they are authorized for denoted with the text “Monitored” in their Contacts list.
Authorized Contacts see all BrAC samples for Monitored Users and are notified if a Monitored User misses a scheduled sample.
Authorized Contacts can create and modify testing schedules for Monitored Users.
Authorized Contacts are notified when a Monitored User updates their Sharing Conditions, such as turning off photo or location sharing.
Authorized Contacts are notified if a Monitored User revokes their admin privileges.

Toggle the option to Make an Authorized Contact and confirm by clicking YES, PROCEED. The user will be notified of your request and they must approve it for their Authorized Contact status to take effect.

Requesting a Sample
To request a sample from one of your Contacts, your Contact must first allow sample requests from you. See Managing Sharing Conditions for instructions.
To request a sample from one of your Contacts:
Launch the YourKeepr app and Scroll to Contacts
On the Contacts screen, select the Contact you want to request a sample from and then REQUEST SAMPLE.
Once the sample request is sent, it will be valid for 20 minutes until it expires and you will be shown the option to CANCEL REQUEST beside the Contact’s name in your Contact list.
Setting Up a Testing Schedule
You can set up a testing schedule for yourself, or one of your Contacts. To create a testing schedule for one of your Contacts, your Contact must first allow scheduled test requests from you. Authorized Contacts have permission to create testing schedules for all their Monitored Contacts.
Once a testing schedule has been created, the YourKeepr app will generate a notification requesting a sample at the specified days/times, and automatically record the results of the user’s sample once completed.

To create a schedule for yourself or for another user, complete the following steps.

Launch the YourKeepr app and Scroll down to Schedules

Select who you want to schedule a test for –either choose Myself, or one of your Contacts.

Configure your custom schedule including the days, times, and frequency of when tests should be taken and click on Schedule Test to confirm and save.
Note: When you use a time range (instead of a single, specific time), the app will randomly notify the user to take a breath sample at some point during that range.
Your newly created schedule will show up in the Schedules section, where you can edit, rename, toggle on/off, or delete.

Taking and Recording BrAC Samples
Taking an Unrecorded Sample
When you use your KeeprTM device to measure your BrAC without the app, it takes an Unrecorded Sample that will be displayed briefly on the KeeprTM device but not recorded in the app.
To take an Unrecorded Sample:
Open the lid to wake the device.
When appears on the screen, take a deep breath, bring the mouthpiece at the top of the KeeprTM device to your lips, and perform a sustained blow until you hear the device make a click, approximately 3-5 seconds and 1 liter of breath. The handheld device shall calculate BrAC within 90 seconds of sample delivery
Wait for the device to calculate your BrAC. It will be displayed for 10 seconds.

For more information on error codes
Note: The following may affect the validity of the sample results:
Residual alcohol in the mouth or air, including from products like alcohol-based mouthwash and hand sanitizer.
Eating, drinking, or using products that contain alcohol within 20 minutes of providing a breath sample.
Not waiting 3 minutes between tests.
Covering the exhaust at the bottom of the device while providing a sample.
Cleaning the device with alcohol-based products prior to providing a sample.

Recording a Sample in the YourKeepr App
To record a sample in the YourKeepr app:

Open the lid to wake up the KeeprTM device.
Wait for the screen on the KeeprTM device to display the message, and for the app to show that the device has connected successfully (this may take a few seconds).
