Product Overview
The Siemens PM-32 Program Matrix Module is engineered to provide selective and multiple circuit activation based on various initiating circuits and desired system functions. It is designed for use with the System 3™ Control Panel circuitry.
This module features thirty-six (36) individual diodes, each with separate anode and cathode terminal connections. This allows for flexible combinations of diode inputs and outputs to achieve the necessary isolation or control logic. A common application involves activating audible devices across different floors during fire events.
The PM-32 module occupies a single standard module space and can be double-mounted if required.
Electrical Specifications
Each input and output circuit supports a current of up to 0.5 Amp at 30VDC. The diodes are rated for 200V peak inverse voltage.
Installation and Wiring
Installation involves mounting the module to horizontal brackets within a control enclosure and connecting it via bus cables. Modules are bus-connected from right to left, with specific considerations for two-row enclosures and the final module in the system.
Key installation points include:
- Mounting the module to horizontal brackets.
- Installing bus connector cable assemblies (e.g., JA-5) between module receptacles and preceding control panel components.
- Ensuring correct bus connection direction (right to left, alternating for rows).
- Connecting a bus connector assembly to the CP-35 control panel for the last module to complete the supervision circuit.
- Wiring circuits as described in the CP-35 Control Panel Instruction Manual.
- Connecting End-of-Line (EOL) devices to unused zone terminals (e.g., terminals 2 and 3 for Zone 1).
- Connecting alarm outputs to supplementary relay modules or annunciators.
Refer to the CP-35 Control Panel Instruction Manual for detailed wiring and testing procedures.
