Ensure a properly earthed mains supply socket is adjacent to the fitting location. If installing concurrently with a new door, consult the door installation instructions. For retro-fitting, verify the door operates smoothly and is balanced. Special care is needed if re-tensioning the door; do not loosen both "U" bolts if the door is under tension.

Important Notices & Safety Rules

IMPORTANT: READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY PRIOR TO COMMENCING INSTALLATION.

This Automatic Opener is designed for years of trouble-free use when installed and operated properly.

SAFETY RULES:

  • Keep the garage door balanced. Repair any sticking or binding doors. Garage door components are under extreme tension and can cause serious personal injury; do not attempt adjustment yourself. Call professional service.
  • Do not wear rings, watches, or loose clothing during installation or servicing.
  • Installation and wiring must comply with local building and electrical codes. Connect power only to properly earthed mains.
  • The safety reverse system test is crucial. The door must reverse when obstructed during closing. Improper adjustment can lead to serious injury. Test monthly and adjust as needed.
  • Do not install in damp or wet spaces.
  • Use the Emergency Release handle to disengage the motor drive ONLY when the drive is switched OFF and the door is fully closed, if possible.
  • Do not use sensitivity adjustments to compensate for binding doors. Excessive sensitivity can impair the Safety Reverse System or damage the door.
  • Disengage all existing garage door locks to prevent damage.
  • Install additional push buttons where the door is visible but out of children's reach. Do not allow children to operate buttons or remotes, as serious injury may result.
  • CAUTION: Activate the operator only when the door is in full view, free of obstructions, and properly adjusted. Do not enter or leave the garage while the door is in motion. Keep children away from the door.
  • Disconnect electric power before making repairs or removing covers.
  • IMPORTANT: Attach the provided caution label to the rear of the garage door as a reminder of safe operating procedures.
  • NOTE: 1. Move the door gently when disengaging the unit. 2. Set the Direction of Operation (L/R) correctly before use.

IF THERE IS ANY PROBLEM, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR LOCAL SUPPLIER.

Installation Instructions
