CORRECT POSITIONING

Adequate ventilation

There needs to be good ventilation around the minibar for easy heat dissipation, high-efficiency refrigeration and low energy consumption. To do this, you must leave enough free space around the minibar. Its back must be at least 100mm from the wall, its sides must have at least a 100mm separation space and the clear height above its top must not be less than 200mm. There must also be free space to open the doors at 160 degrees.JOCEL-JF45B014771-Frigori-Fico-Refrigerator-fig (2)

Food

The minibar can only be used with a single phase alternating current supply of 220V~50Hz; If the voltage variation in the region of use is so high that the voltage exceeds the mentioned limit, for your safety, use an automatic AC voltage regulator on the minibar. A single socket must also be used for the minibar and not one in common with other electrical appliances. Its plug must be connected to a grounded socket.JOCEL-JF45B014771-Frigori-Fico-Refrigerator-fig (3)

Power Cord

The cable must not be lengthened or coiled during operation. Furthermore, the cable cannot be close to the compressor at the back of the minibar, the surface of which reaches a very high temperature during operation. Contact with it would disable the insulation or cause a power leak.JOCEL-JF45B014771-Frigori-Fico-Refrigerator-fig (4)

Moisture Protection

Avoid placing the minibar in a location where there is high humidity to minimize the possibility of metal parts rusting. Furthermore, it is not allowed to pour water directly into the minibar, as this would cause poor insulation and current leakage.JOCEL-JF45B014771-Frigori-Fico-Refrigerator-fig (5)

Heat Protection

The minibar must be away from any heat source or direct sunlight.JOCEL-JF45B014771-Frigori-Fico-Refrigerator-fig (6)

Stable Fixation

The floor where the minibar is placed must be flat and solid. It should not be placed on any fragile material such as plastic foam, etc. If the minibar is not level, tighten the screws appropriately. The minibar should not be placed close to any object that may produce an echo.JOCEL-JF45B014771-Frigori-Fico-Refrigerator-fig (7)

Keep Away from Danger

The minibar should not be placed close to any volatile or combustible product, such as gas, oil, alcohol, lacquer, banana oil, etc. They cannot be stored inside the minibar.JOCEL-JF45B014771-Frigori-Fico-Refrigerator-fig (8)

Travel

When fixed or transported, the minibar must not be placed horizontally, tilted more than 45 degrees or inverted.JOCEL-JF45B014771-Frigori-Fico-Refrigerator-fig (9)

PRECAUTIONS

  • Before use, it must be checked that the voltage used is the indicated voltage.
  • Water contained in food or air entering the Refrigerator through opening the doors may form a layer of ice inside. If this layer becomes thicker, the refrigerator performance will decrease.
  • If the appliance’s power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a Qualified Technician, as special tools are required for this purpose.
  • It is dangerous to change the specifications or attempt to modify this product in any way.
  • When the refrigerator is not used for a long period of time, disconnect it from the power supply.
  • Wait 5 minutes before restarting the unit after power failure.

HANDLING

  1. It is important that the Refrigerator is level, so adjust the feet.
  2. To start operation, turn the thermostat to the position corresponding to the level of cooling you want to obtain.JOCEL-JF45B014771-Frigori-Fico-Refrigerator-fig (10)
  3. The temperature of the Refrigerator will vary according to the amount of food stored and how often the door is opened.
  4. Once defrosted, turn the thermostat to maximum for 2 to 3 hours before turning it to the desired temperature.
  5. When you stop using the appliance for a long time, unplug it from the mains and leave the door partially open

DEFROST

This Refrigerator comes equipped with a button (semi-automatic), with a thermostat system for defrosting. To activate defrost, press the red button located in the center of the thermostat (do not turn the thermostat to position O). The defrost cycle will start automatically.JOCEL-JF45B014771-Frigori-Fico-Refrigerator-fig (11)

When defrosting is complete, the button will return to the normal position and the Refrigerator will start operating at the selected temperature.
NOTE: If you accidentally press the button to defrost the Refrigerator, you will not be able to deactivate this option by pulling the button manually. It is advisable to let the Refrigerator defrost, or else;
* Use a cloth soaked in hot water against the thermostat tube located on the lower side of the cooler compartment. The transferred heat will cause the thermostat temperature to increase, causing the internal contacts to close. The Refrigerator will begin normal operation. If the button does not return to its normal position, perform the procedure again. Defrosting will be necessary when the ice inside the Refrigerator reaches approximately 6mm thick. Defrosting may take a few hours, depending on the amount of ice accumulated and the ambient temperature. To speed up the defrosting process, remove all frozen products from inside, leaving the door slightly open.

IMPORTANT:

Before defrosting ends, close the Refrigerator door as it will start normal operation automatically. The water retention tray should be placed under the coldest area during defrosting. Never use sharp utensils to remove ice from the compartment, as they can damage the gas lines there and break the appliance. DO NOT ALLOW THE REFRIGERATOR TO CONTINUE WORKING IF YOU HAVE PIERCED THE COLDEST COMPARTMENT OF THE FRIDGE. After defrosting, set the thermostat to maximum for 2 to 3 hours, before adjusting it to the desired position. When you stop using the Refrigerator for long periods of time, disconnect it from the mains and leave the door slightly open.
NOTE: If you turned off the Refrigerator for some reason, wait 3 to 5 minutes before turning it on again.

MAINTENANCE

  • Once a month, the Refrigerator should be cleaned.
  • When performing maintenance, be sure to disconnect the power plug first.
  • Clean the internal and external surfaces of the Refrigerator and its accessories with a damp cloth. If they are very dirty, wash them with neutral detergent, then clean them with water, and dry them with a clean cloth. Then, it is recommended to use a small amount of glass wax to polish the surface of the Refrigerator with a cotton cloth.
  • To clean, do not use hot water, thinner, oil, alcohol, kerosene, powdered soap, purifying agent, alkaline detergent, acid, cloths with chemical products, etc., to avoid damaging plastics and lacquered surfaces. It is not permitted to pour water directly into the Refrigerator. This could lead to the creation of rust or reduce insulation.
  • Also, pay attention to the maintenance of the rubber seals on the doors. These erasers must always be very clean.
  • If the plastic parts of the Refrigerator remain dirty for a long period, such as with oil (animal or vegetable), they will easily deteriorate and may crack. If not cleaned regularly, the drain tank becomes dirty very easily, producing unpleasant odors. Get in the habit of cleaning this tank regularly.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  1. If the Refrigerator doesn’t work
    Check for an electricity failure.
Check whether the power plug is connected to the socket.
  2. If the Refrigerator is too cold
The temperature regulator may be set to very high performance.
If you place food products that contain a lot of moisture directly under the air vents,
refrigerated, these will freeze quickly. This does not indicate a failure.
  3. If the Refrigerator is not cooling enough
Food may be stored too close to each other, which will block the circulation of cooling air.
You could have put something hot or a lot of food products in the Refrigerator.
The door may not have been closed properly.
The door shelves may be damaged.
The Refrigerator may not be ventilated.
There may not be enough distance between the Refrigerator and surfaces on both sides and above.
The temperature regulator may not be set correctly.
  4. Condensation forms on the outside of the Refrigerator.
Condensation may form outside when humidity is high, such as during a wet season. This is the same type of condensation that forms when ice water is poured into a glass. Therefore, this does not indicate a failure. Dry the Refrigerator with a dry cloth.
  5. If you hear a sound like running water.
A sound identical to running water is the sound of refrigerant flowing. Does not indicate a failure.
  6. If the side panel of the frame becomes hot.
The side panel of the frame may become hot when the door is opened or closed frequently, when the unit is started, and when the unit operates in summer with high outside ambient temperature. In this case, do not touch the panel. This results from heat dissipation from the inside of the frame and does not mean that there is a problem with the Refrigerator.
