Product Components

The IQOS ILUMA PRIME system consists of a Holder and a Pocket Charger. It is designed to be used exclusively with SMARTCORE STICKS™.

IQOS ILUMA PRIME Pocket Charger

The Pocket Charger houses the Holder and provides charging. It features:

• Holder Status Light: Indicates the Holder's battery level.
• Wrap: The outer casing of the Pocket Charger.
• Charging Port: For charging the Pocket Charger.
• Pocket Charger Status Light: Indicates the Pocket Charger's battery level.
• Pocket Charger Button: Used for checking status and performing resets.

IQOS ILUMA Holder

The Holder is where the SMARTCORE STICK™ is inserted and heated. It features:

• Ring: A decorative or functional ring around the Holder.
• Holder Status Light: Indicates the Holder's battery level and operational status.
• Holder Button: Used for turning the device on/off and checking status.

Charging Accessories

The system includes:

• Charging Cable (USB Type-C): For connecting the Pocket Charger to a power source.
• Power Adapter: For plugging into a wall socket to charge the Pocket Charger.

Getting Started

Before your first use, ensure your Pocket Charger is fully charged.

Charging the Pocket Charger

Connect the Pocket Charger to a power outlet using the provided USB Type-C cable and Power Adapter. A full charge takes approximately 135 minutes.

Turning On the Device

Press and hold the Pocket Charger Button for 4 seconds. The Pocket Charger Status Light and Holder Status Light will illuminate gradually.

Charging the Holder

Insert the Holder into the Pocket Charger and close the wrap. The Holder Status Light will indicate the Holder's battery level.

How to Use

1. Charge the Pocket Charger

   Before first use, fully charge your device using the Power Adapter and Charging Cable (approx. 135 minutes).

2. Insert SMARTCORE STICK™

   Insert a SMARTCORE STICK™ into the Holder until the line on the filter aligns with the Holder's edge. The Holder will vibrate, and the lights will blink, indicating heating has begun automatically or by pressing the Holder Button for 1 second.

3. Start Use

   Begin use once the Holder vibrates and the lights are steady (not blinking).

4. Nearing End of Use

   For the last 30 seconds or 2 puffs, the Holder will vibrate, and the lights will blink white.

5. Remove SMARTCORE STICK™

   Remove the used SMARTCORE STICK™ and dispose of it according to safety warnings and instructions.

6. Recharge the Holder

   Place the Holder back into the Pocket Charger to recharge.

Quick Tips & Status Indicators

Understand the status lights for your IQOS ILUMA PRIME:

Checking Holder Status

Tilt the Holder towards you or briefly press the Holder Button. The Holder Status Lights will show the battery level:

• 2 lights: Ready for 2 uses.
• 1 light: Ready for 1 use.

Checking Pocket Charger Status

Briefly press the Pocket Charger Button. The Pocket Charger Status Lights will illuminate to show the battery level:

• 2 lights: Ready for 2 uses.
• 1 light: Ready for 1 use.

Light Indicators

• Yellow Blinking Light: Battery is low and needs charging.
• White Blinking Light (Twice): The IQOS ILUMA PRIME™ is outside the operational temperature range (0–40 °C).
• Red Blinking Light: Indicates a need to reset the Pocket Charger. If the light continues to blink red, contact Consumer Service.

Automatic Stop

During use, the experience will automatically stop if the SMARTCORE STICK™ is removed or detached from the Holder.

Resetting the Device

To perform a reset, insert the Holder into the Pocket Charger and press the Button for 10 seconds, then release. All Status Lights will turn off and then back on to confirm the reset.

Please read all warnings and instructions before use to avoid injury. These warnings cannot cover all possible conditions, so always exercise caution.

Intended Use & Users

• IQOS ILUMA™ and IQOS ILUMA PRIME™ are intended for adult users only.
• They are for adults who wish to continue using tobacco or nicotine products.
• Children and adolescents must not use these products under any circumstances.
• Individuals with reduced physical or sensory capabilities, lack of experience, or knowledge should only use the product under supervision or instruction to ensure safe usage and understanding of risks.

Tobacco and Nicotine

• SMARTCORE STICKS™ contain nicotine, which is addictive.
• IQOS ILUMA™™, IQOS ILUMA PRIME™™, and SMARTCORE STICKS™™ are not risk-free. The best way to reduce health risks associated with tobacco is to quit tobacco and nicotine use completely.
• Nicotine is naturally present in the tobacco used in SMARTCORE STICKS™.
• Some users may experience adverse effects such as stomach pain, chest pain, choking sensation, cough, shortness of breath, dizziness, dry mouth, dry throat, gum inflammation, headache, stuffy nose, nausea, mouth irritation, heart palpitations, throat irritation, and vomiting.
• Nicotine-containing products should not be used by individuals with heart disease, diabetes, epilepsy, or those prone to seizures.
• Do not use nicotine-containing products during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If pregnant, breastfeeding, or suspecting pregnancy, quit tobacco and nicotine use entirely.
• Consult a healthcare professional if you have questions about using these products with existing health conditions or if you are taking certain medications.

Choking, Ingestion, and Handling Hazards

• Keep IQOS ILUMA™™, IQOS ILUMA PRIME™™, and SMARTCORE STICKS™™ out of reach of children and pets at all times.
• Choking Hazard: SMARTCORE STICKS™ contain small metal components with sharp edges.
• Ingestion Hazard: Ingested SMARTCORE STICKS™ can cause serious internal organ injury due to small metal components. They also pose a risk of nicotine poisoning. Seek immediate medical attention if a SMARTCORE STICK™ is ingested.
• Handling Hazard: Do not dismantle SMARTCORE STICKS™ due to small metal components. Dispose of used SMARTCORE STICKS™ immediately according to local waste disposal regulations.

Electronic and Battery Hazards

• Failure to follow these warnings may lead to fire, explosion, electric shock, injury, or damage to the product or other property.
• Only intended users should operate IQOS ILUMA™ and IQOS ILUMA PRIME™.
• Do not use the devices in locations where the use of electronic devices is prohibited.
• Do not charge or use the devices or accessories if they are damaged, dented, or broken.
• Do not use if the battery appears to be leaking.
• Charge only indoors using the approved Charging Cable and Power Adapter. Do not use unapproved accessories.
• The devices operate within a specific temperature range (0–40 °C). Avoid use, charging, or storage in extreme temperatures (e.g., hot cars, near heat sources) or in humid conditions.
• Do not use near flammable materials, liquids, or gases.
• Keep the devices, Power Adapter, and Charging Cable away from liquids. Do not touch the product if it is wet or submerged.
• Do not clean the Holder with any cleaning agents.
• Clean the USB charging port periodically to prevent foreign object buildup (e.g., dust). Check the USB port for foreign objects before using a USB connector.
• Handle with care; do not drop or subject the devices to strong impacts.
• The product contains no user-serviceable components. Do not attempt to open, modify, repair, disassemble, or replace any components or batteries.
• IQOS ILUMA™™ and IQOS ILUMA PRIME™™ are not compatible with previous IQOS generations. Do not attempt to charge them with older chargers or vice versa.
• Do not use the product if it has been exposed to excessive cold, heat, or humidity.
• If the device overheats, sparks, smokes, ignites, or burns, handle with care and disconnect the power supply if possible.
• Do not insert anything into the heating chamber other than SMARTCORE STICKS™.
• SMARTCORE STICKS™ are for single use only and must not be reused, even with lighters or other flame sources.

Battery Risks

The devices use sealed Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries. If battery fluid leaks:

• If ingested, seek immediate medical attention. Do not induce vomiting.
• If inhaled, seek fresh air and medical attention.
• If fluid contacts skin, wash the affected area and avoid touching eyes.
• If fluid contacts eyes, flush with water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention.

Hot Aerosol Risks

In hot and humid weather, the moisture in the aerosol can make the aerosol feel very hot. To mitigate this, store SMARTCORE STICKS™ in a clean, dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and high humidity.

Allergic Reaction Risks

Use may cause allergic reactions such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, gums, throat, or body, difficulty breathing, or wheezing. Discontinue use and seek immediate medical attention if these symptoms occur.

Using SMARTCORE STICKS™

• Use only with SMARTCORE STICKS™ specifically designed for IQOS ILUMA™ and IQOS ILUMA PRIME™.
• Do not use with cigarettes or similar products.
• Do not use with previous generations of IQOS devices (e.g., IQOS ORIGINALS DUO or earlier).

Storage

Store devices in a clean, dry, and cool place. Do not store at temperatures above 60 °C. Keep out of reach of children.

Disposal Information

The symbol on the product or its packaging indicates that this product and its parts (including batteries) should not be disposed of with household waste. You are responsible for disposing of your waste equipment by handing it over to a designated collection point for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment. Separate collection and recycling of your waste equipment (including batteries) at the time of disposal will help conserve natural resources and ensure the product is recycled in a way that protects human health and the environment. Local importers will provide financing for the treatment and recycling of returned waste equipment.

Battery Removal Instructions (For Disposal and Recycling)

Batteries should not be removed by consumers. Only authorized recyclers should remove batteries safely following specific procedures for Pocket Chargers and Holders.
