3. Descaling Procedure (Operating Instructions)
The descaling process may vary slightly depending on your specific Gaggia espresso machine model. Always refer to your machine's user manual for precise instructions. The following steps provide a general guideline for using the Gaggia Decalcifier.
準備：
- Ensure the machine is turned off and cooled down.
- Empty the water tank, drip tray, and coffee grounds container.
- Remove any water filters from the water tank.
- Place a large heat-resistant container (at least 1 liter capacity) under the coffee spout and steam/hot water wand to collect the descaling solution.
Applying the Solution:
- Pour the entire contents of the 250ml Gaggia Decalcifier bottle into the water tank.
- Fill the water tank with fresh tap water up to the maximum level indicated on your machine, or as specified in your machine's manual for descaling.

- If your machine does not have an automatic descaling program, manually dispense approximately 2 cups (500ml) of the solution through the steam/hot water wand and another 2 cups through the coffee spout. For some Gaggia models, this may involve activating the power, steam wand, and brewing head buttons simultaneously while opening the steam valve to dispense the solution without steaming.
- Allow the machine to sit for approximately 15-20 minutes with the solution inside to allow it to work on stubborn deposits.
- Repeat the dispensing process (step 10 or 11) until the water tank is empty.
4. Post-Descaling Rinse
Thorough rinsing is essential to remove all traces of the descaling solution from your machine.
- Empty and thoroughly rinse the water tank with fresh water.
- Fill the water tank with fresh tap water up to the maximum level.
- Place the large collection container back under the spouts.
- Run several full tanks of fresh water through the machine, dispensing through both the coffee spout and the steam/hot water wand, until the water runs clear and there is no residual taste or smell of the descaler. This may require 2-3 full tanks of water.
