    Question

How do I operate the iZEEKER GD100 dash camera in case of an accident, and what are the button functions and locations?

    Answer

To ensure your iZEEKER GD100 dash camera properly records and protects footage during an accident, please follow these guidelines based on the manual:

    • Automatic Protection (G-Sensor): The camera features a built-in Gravity Sensor. When it detects a collision or significant vibration, it automatically locks the current video file. Locked videos are protected from being overwritten by the loop recording feature. You can adjust the sensitivity (Low/Medium/High) in the Video Menu; "Low" is recommended to avoid filling the card with non-emergency files.
    • Manual Protection: If you need to manually protect a video during an incident, short press the Lock button (Button #9, located on the right side of the screen, third one down). A "lock" icon will appear on the screen to confirm the file is protected.

    Button Guide and Locations:

    • Left Side:
      1. Up: Navigate menus / Rewind during playback.
      2. Menu: Press once for Video Menu, twice for System Settings.
      3. Down: Navigate menus / Fast forward during playback / Hotkey for Audio.
      4. TF Card Slot: Where the MicroSD card is inserted.
    • Right Side:
      7. OK: Start/Stop recording / Confirm selection / Take photo in Camera Mode.

  3. my camera does not automatically start recording because I get a few settings one saying hi storage. I have a USBC to micro USB new charging cable and it doesn’t work as good as the cigarette lighter why is that why does that screen keep sticking on the screen every time I turn my car on?

Kirk Young asks my camera does not automatically start recording because I get a few settings one saying hi storage. I have a USBC to micro USB new charging cable and it doesn't work as good as the cigarette lighter why is that why does that screen keep sticking on the screen every time I turn my car on?
    Manuals+ clarified question
    Question

Why does my iZEEKER GD100 dash cam fail to record automatically, show storage errors, and have power issues with a USB-C to micro USB cable?

    Answer

Based on the iZEEKER GD100 manual, here are the solutions to your issues:

    • Power Cable Issues: The manual specifies that the dash cam should be powered using the included car charger (cigarette lighter adapter) for reliable operation. Third-party USB-C to micro USB cables often fail to provide the consistent voltage required for the camera to trigger its "Auto Startup" recording mode. The manual notes that the camera needs to be charged at all times to function correctly.
    • Storage Errors and Recording: If you are seeing storage-related messages, your SD card may be full of locked files or incorrectly formatted. The manual recommends using a Class 10 Micro SD card (32-128GB). You should format the card within the camera settings: go to the System Setting Menu and select Format. It is recommended to format the card every 15 days to prevent jamming.
    • Screen Sticking/Prompts: If the screen stays on or shows prompts every time you start the car, ensure the SD card is properly inserted and formatted. If the screen is simply staying bright, you can adjust the Screensaver setting in the System Setting Menu (options: OFF / 1 Minute / 3 Minutes) so the screen goes dark while recording continues.
    • Automatic Recording: The camera will only start recording automatically if it is connected to its charger and a valid Micro SD card is inserted. If the blue light is flashing, the camera is recording.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you can contact iZEEKER support at support@izeeker.co.
