Connect with Wi-Fi Direct

Once you have verified that your device is Wi-Fi Direct ready, you can cast your content to the big screen by following the steps below.
Android devices

  1. On your Display option screen, connect by tapping on the cast option specific to your device (see example to the right).
  2. Your device will start searching for the Duplicast Wireless A/V Receiver. Once the receiver appears, tap on it to connect.IOGEAR Duplicast Wireless Screen Mirroring-3
The screenshots above are from 3 different Android-based phones.
  3. After you initiate the connection, wait a few seconds for your device to establish the connection with the wireless receiver.  When a black screen displays on both the TV and your device, the connection has been established. The technical term for this is “sync”, and the two devices have now synced with each other.
After a connection is established you should be able to see a mirror image of your device on the big-screen TV; whatever you do on your mobile device will be duplicated on the big screen from this point and on. To disconnect from the TV, you can either turn off your device or disconnect from the Display options screen.IOGEAR Duplicast Wireless Screen Mirroring-4

FAQS

Does it work on Apple Mac?

It has drivers for PC from Windows 7 up to 10 but none for Mac. The design requires a driver/software to be installed on the OS so I suggest you look elsewhere. zero-touch HDMI bridges work best but they are more expense x5.

Can we use this to transmit from AV receiver to projector. if yes how should be the setup be

The connection to the receiver id hdmi. To hook to vga projectors you’ll need an adapter. There is a challenge with sound when using an svga/vga connection. It’s fine with a straight hdmi connection. Really happy with this product. I’ve been using it in classroom settings and like not having to be tethered to the monitor/projector.

does this device require WiFi to do screen mirror like chrome cast?

no

How do you expand to multiple transmitters and can transmitters be purchased individually?

In my experience, you can not extend to multiple transmitters.
The device works one-to-one. You have to buy the whole sets.

Is this plug-and-play? Or does this device require a driver install and update later on?

it requires a driver.
