Product Introduction
How to Use
Mounting
The webcam has a built-in clip and can be mounted in several ways. You can clip it directly onto a computer screen (shown below) or on a flat surface. The base has a 1/4″ screw hole to attach a stand or tripod.
Connecting
The webcam is compatible with Windows and macOS systems.
Connect it to your computer’s USB port using the USB Cable (and with USB Type-C to A adapter if needed). Once connected, the Indicator Light will flash green and stay solid when the webcam is powered on.
Important:
- To avoid issues due to an insufficient power supply, please connect the webcam directly to a computer or USB port with an independent power supply.
- To avoid compatibility issues, please use the included USB Cable.
Installing Controller Software
You can use the webcam as soon as it is connected to your computer. To control, operate and adjust settings, visit https://www.insta360.com/download/insta360-link2c to download and install the free Controller software.
Touch Key
Double tap to zoom in by lx or 1 .5x.
Triple tap and long press to enter U-Disk Mode.
Privacy M Ode
Slide the Privacy Switch to enter/exit Privacy Mode.
Virtual Camera
Blur or replace the background with another image. Once enabled, you need to enable the “Insta360 Virtual Camera” video source in the conference or live streaming platforms.
Important:
To enable Virtual Camera on macOS, go to Open System Preferences > Privacy & Security and allow Insta360 Link Controller.
Modes
Auto Framing
The webcam automatically adjusts the position and scale of the frame to ensure that all participants stay in frame.
Whiteboard Mode
The webcam supports two unique whiteboard modes. In Whiteboard Mode (standard), stick a Recognition Marker in each corner of your whiteboard. The webcam will enhance and zoom in on the area so remote participants can see the whiteboard more clearly. This mode can be activated via gestures and the Controller software. In Smart Whiteboard Mode, without the need for Recognition Markers, the webcam intelligently recognizes or manually sets the whiteboard area through the Controller software.
DeskView Mode
Adjust the Magnetic Mount to the desired angle and select DeskView Mode in the Controller software.

Whiteboard Mode (standard)
Notes:
- Please keep your face fully visible in the frame when using Gesture Control, and do not cover your face with your hands.
- The Indicator Light will flash green once the gesture has been successfully recognized.
Updating Firmware
Update via Controller Software
Click the webcam name in the upper right corner of the Controller software. If a firmware update is available, follow the onscreen instructions to update.
Update via U-Disk Mode
Press the Touch Key 3 times. The Indicator Light will flash blue. Long press for another 5 seconds, and the Indicator Light will stay solid blue, indicating U-Disk Mode. Copy the firmware to the hard drive named IIINSTA360″, then unplug and plug in the webcam. After restarting the webcam, the firmware update will be completed.
Notes:
- Do not disconnect the USB cable during the firmware upgrade.
- Do not operate the device during the firmware upgrade.
- It’s suggested to use the first method mentioned above to update.
