IMSA is implementing updates to the data download procedures for the IMSA VP Racing Sportscar Challenge (VPRC) effective for the Event at Virginia International Raceway onward. This memo will serve as a guide to the new procedures. See VPRC Technical Memo #25-01c1 for details on the electronics required for this procedure. The 2025 Technical Regulations by Class will serve as the official requirements.
In accordance with GSX Technical Regulation 8.2.2.c. a file from the Team Logger is also required.
XAP Data Download Procedure
Step 1 must be completed before connecting a PC to the XAP Dash.
- Post session, power cycle the car to return to the mechanic’s page:
- Connect a PC to the dash using a USB A to B cable. Once connected, the Dash will display this screen:
- “XAP DRIVE (D:)” should now be available in the File Explorer.
- Next, CUT the “Aquis” Folder and PASTE it to the Series Scrutineering Data Stick
- Unplug the USB cable from the car and the dash will reboot and return to the mechanic’s page.
