INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Power On the Camera
Connect the camera to power. You can choose a wireless or a wired network connection (see part 1).
Get the Imou Life App
Scan the QR code on part 2 or search for Ylmou Life” to download and install the app. Create an account and log in.
Set Up the Camera
Scan the QR code on the body of the device or the cover of this guide with the app, and then follow on-screen instructions to complete the setup (see part 3).
Install the Camera
Make sure the mounting surface is strong enough to hold three times the weight of the camera. For the detailed installation process, please see part 4.
If you need to reset the camera, press and hold the reset button for 5s. The LED turns solid red when the camera is booting.
FAQs
Does it support local streaming?
Yes, through RTSP and ONVIF, but pan/tilt control may not work via generic interfaces. RTSP credentials use the safety code printed on the camera’s bottom
Is it compatible with smart home systems like HomeKit?
No, HomeKit isn’t supported out of the box. Some users achieved partial integration using RTSP/ONVIF with third-party setups, but experiences vary.
What’s the difference between 2C, 4MP, and Dual variants?
The standard 2C offers 2 MP (1080p) imaging, while higher-end versions upgrade to 4 MP or add dual-lens PT cameras. The Dual variant also supports auto-cruise, tracking, and enhanced alert features.
